Won a Fujin...(already had one) Won a couple orks. Getting bored with the Fujis... Then won a Rogata.. Already had one, but never used it much. Seemed kinda pussyfied. Though the dual medium slots were pretty juicy. When I'd run her I'd lace her up with twin Tarans, usually. Was wondering, anyone ran the Big Daddy Rog with twin orks? If so, how did it do? I kinda stay away from the jumpers. That hang time makes you an easy target.

I would sometimes run an Orkan Rog as my only non-plasma bot in low tiers, for the occasional shield bot I'd encounter.
Worked fine. Great on tight maps.
Nowadays I'd use an Orkan/aphid Griffin.

I use a Taran Rog in the the initial cap phase where its pretty sassy most times...Its something you really have to drive a lot to get its max potential. Jumpers? Griffs:That hang time is like a 3pt jump shot...With Aphids, shooting them in mid air gets most of them on the targets head no mater how much his face is pressed against the wall. The 3pt Aphid shot.

I actually enjoyed using Orks on it recently, however, it is not going to win you 1st place in damage since you will have to be very cautious and flanky with your choices of targets.
Your goal is to inflict pain without receiving any in return. Basically, let the inner Sadist come out, while shutting the inner Masochist in. The speed on the ground for a decently leveled Rog is not bad, and if you use the jump tactically instead of strategically*, you should be able to get where you want to go, start the attack, then jump to cover while still hitting them with the salvo. With either Griffs or Rogs, getting the jump attacking retreat down, will help a lot. IMO.
In all, though, I would not consider it the best. bot. ever. Just a fun alternative to a Griff with some decent firepower. Especially if you are like me and enjoy going all mediums and lights every now and again.
*By that I mean, only use the jump once in position to aid in your attack, preferably to allow you to get out of their line of fire ASAP, not to get where you want to go. The Rog is fast enough to not make jumping necessary to get into position.
