Since even before the new MM changes, I was starting to get bored of this game.
Last week was a first in nearly 2 years ---- I let 5 Au tasks go uncompleted for over 24 hours (meaning I let 2 of the next day's tasks get blocked from loading and I lost out on 60 Au).
This week, my 10 day average cups dipped below 400 ---- something that also hasn't happened in nearly 2 years.
Lastly, this is the first special event that I have zero interest in spending even 99 cents. I'm content with just earning Coins by playing - nothing more.
I think I'm really losing interest in the game and I point to several reasons: 1) The new MM seems to be a disincentive. I can play 5-8 matches and be the highest scorer on both teams and grab 3-5 beacons each match ----- and still lose all 5 matches due to MM throwing in pilots that have 4 slots only (I've even seen pilots either 3 slots - and I play min L11 bots/weapons).
2) Pilots ditching matches so that they can club again. This has to be the most disheartening aspect if the new MM. I see zero damage pilots in 1 in 3 or 4 matches (on either team). It makes me less enthusiastic to play the game as I don't like losing or even winning matches where one team has nearly zero chance of winning (in TT it's nearly impossible to win a 5-vs-6 match).
3) TT Fury. 「whiskey tango foxtrot」 hasn't Pix adjusted the Fury or the Trident? I can field 5 TT Furies with the Au I have stored, but I refuse to use this setup, as I believe it is inconsistent with every other weapon in the game and that it is a basically skilless setup that has zero downside. The buffed Ancil is not what was in order either - all that was needed was a reduction in the Trident's splash damage radius or making its reload 15-18 seconds (akin to the way the Tulumbas is treated).
These 3 factors make this game easier to put down and not readily play it. I hope Pix makes serious changes soon, cause I figure I'll be done with this game before the summer hits at this rate.
Anyone else feel the same?

I don't know if I am bored or not, have been completing daily tasks. My cups have dropped from 1500 to somewhere around 400.
I am just confused and am uncertain where the game is going with the changes that have happened and supposedly the rest which will bring us rainbows, lollipops and unicorns.
I still like the game.
Just dazed and confused right now.

Yes, I have (with the help of the new match making) started to come to the conclusion that games where your winning / losing is 80%+ outside of your control simply aren't that enjoyable. At least for me they're not. My hard learned skills and carefully curated hangar setups mean relatively little compared to the luck of the draw for teammates / enemies, the wonkiness of the match making, the size of the pool of people currently playing, the map you happen to get, and even the sheer luck of the match itself ( who chooses which bot when, which bots/weapons the enemy happens to choose, who randomly decides to go which direction, etc.).
On an individual basis this is as much a game of luck as skill if not more so. And there is a reason I'm not sitting in a casino pulling a slot machine lever.

Honestly my advice is to join an active clan. I always wait a few minutes for some of my clan mates to get back from their match and hop on with them. Keeps matches exciting and challenging when we drop against another squad.
Randoms are harsh and can be pretty frustrating, hence best to put yourself in a situation where you'll have the necessary teammates to help you pull the wins... Just my take on it.

I hear you, brother. I've been playing for about a year, getting close to maxing and I anticipate not approaching the game with the same amount of fervor as before. I do enjoy the stepped up competition, I do. But I miss the laid-backness and unpredictability of what used to be silver tier.
I also notice a significant shift here on the forum. Pix used to be held in such high regard but now there is a crescendo in the vitriol aimed at them.

I've previously defended the new MM but I've hit a wall with the game lately. The MM applies the Peter principle, promoting players to rise to the level of their own incompetence. This takes the fun out of it.
Gameplay has become tedious and predictable. 6/5 heavies rule at the low end. The side with more heavies and level 20 players wins. The side with more under level 10 players and little bots loses.
The good things about the new MM are also its weakness. Upgrading bots to high levels does not kick players into higher tiers as in the past. Workshop bots no longer have a penalty. Unfortunately the penalty has shifted to lights and mediums. In the old MM, I used to live in 4/4 land to avoid the stress of heavies and (most of the time) plasma weapons. Light and medium bots are fun to use and games were fast and interesting. Noobs could beat me half the time and that was ok as Au and Ag was easy to get without destroying the entire red team. That's all gone out of the game now.
I've tried spending RM to see if that would stimulate my enthusiasm but the euphoria only lasted a day. I don't know where this goes but I'm playing less often. My 2 cents.

Especially at open maps the game is turning into a sniper and camper game... this is not my style of playing. So... I get really bored this time with the new MM. I stopped RM in the game for that and hopefully Pixo will see that playing against 3 - 5 maxed Furys is destroying everything...

Me.
Last Halloween I spent abt $50 on pumpkins on top of the massive time I spent on playing
This event, I spent only $1 and not even excited abt the draws half as much.
*Somehow I'm just attracted to lucky draws like a bug attracted to those blue lights.

Hey gang.
Truth be told, yes. Not losing interest, lost interest.
With all that happened recently, War Robots went from something I eagerly looked forward to playing every chance I got. Towards the end simply playing to at least knock my dailies over became a chore. Simply put, it just stopped being fun.
My time with War Robots started out like most... I played with little care for the meta (and kinda never did). I levelled unevenly, and made my fair share of poor loadouts, level 7 Destrier goddammit! Then realised I was very outmatched.
Like many, my journey led me to the original wiki forum, where I learned about play strategies and styles, tiers, tips and everything else. Eventually that tide brought me here where I honed my gameplay even more. But most importantly I met some pretty cool pilots, and immersed myself in their journey too. Perhaps I had even more fun in getting myself wrecked taking screenies because Strange Bots seen in the Wild and Funniest Robot Names. I even looked forward to Beaning, getting Beaned and throwing in the randomest head scratching Five Word posts I could.
Anyways. My whinging is not coming as a clubber. Never did. But once I understood the tiers I knew I could find my place in the skill heirachy, learn, adjust, move up, repeat. It was loads of fun.
Perhaps that's what I miss the most from the old Match Maker. I knew where I stood at all times. I could truly gauge how well or how badly I was doing and make the necessary adjustments before the next round of levelling. If I wanted a challenge I could load in my absolute best hangar and push myself hard. Losing in such a situation came with a smile because I knew I did my best, and every loss came with a valued lesson. Winning was even better (nah, really?) because doing my best paid off. Not just the AU rewards but also in knowing that doing my best and pushing myself was worth it. On the flipside if I was worn out from work and wanted to kick about in a Destrier with Punishers (seriously, I love that bot/weapon combo) because hey, tired, don't wanna be uber competitive for a couple of rounds, I could.
Side note, when my darling girl wanted to play herself, I could level her hangar accordingly and she too could stomp and romp with a big smile on her face.
All the community ever wanted was to keep clubbers/farmers out of the lower tiers, let the newbies be newbies. A slight nerf to the Gepard (sorry for using Gep Mag clubbers as a yardstick, I'm aware you're not all bad) and/or some sort of penalty/barrier system was needed.
Pixonic have proven they could have done this all along. With the sneaky Gepard Nerf AND the 1/1 Gateway To Hell barrier. But they didn't until it was too little, too late.
When the new MM rolled out I was actually quite eager to get in and see how well I could roll with the big boys. Not very well at all, BUT, it was yet another chance to learn and adjust, and therefore improve. Should have been fun. Truth be told my skill (and in turn gear) meant nothing facing even lesser skilled players with maxed out hangars.
I know how to flank Rhinos, Galahads etc. I know how to scope the battlefield and defend my weakpoints/play my strong points. I even took on a Lancelot in an Aphid Stalker and won. It took forever, felt like an rpg bossfight, and loved every second of it.
Nowadays the game has become far too erratic to know where I stand. It's either "Bugger, we lost. Oh that's right, 11/12's all round." or "Sweet, we won! 「whiskey tango foxtrot」 the rest of the players are Bronzies."
Now, Wifey and I have a line for when we start cracking the 「dookie」s at videogames. "If it's making you angry, why the 「fluffernutter」 are you still playing it!?"
Maybe if/when Pixo fix their Yugo-esque 「fluffernutter」up (and I do mean Yugo as in the car, fellow revheads) and their playstore page is filled with mostly good reviews, I may download it again. Until then, I'm out.
For those sticking with it, I wholeheartedly hope your efforts are not in vain and you still find enjoyment playing. Power to you. Truly.
Light Our Darkest Hour.

I stopped RM in the game for that and hopefully Pixo will see that playing against 3 - 5 maxed Furys is destroying everything... Agree, agree! This is exact the reason, why i quit camper maps before the game starts. I play since 4 month. At the beginnig i tried all availabe bots and weapons. Heavy bots wtih long range are too boring for me and so my peferred hangar was light bots - especially geps. So i spend some real money and a lot of time for my geps. Before the mm update i facing griffins and leos in the same class of about 6/9 - and it was hard enough to beat them in an knife fight. But actually i face 12/12 furies with long or mid range weapons. There is absolute no chance for a fair match. In the past i was not focused on heavy bots and long range weapons. So i'm not competitive anymore. I canged my hangar to heavies, but i have no competitive long range weapons. It is not my decision anymore what bots, weapons and strategy I want to play. So at the end the only successful strategy is buy a big fat and slow bot with long range weapons and play like a sniper. But this is really boring, isn't it?

I liked the old MM, all they needed to do was slap the Gepard with a nerf fish, but no they had to add in the new MM, and all I see on Canyon, Yamantau, Shenzen and Springfield are FURY 「fluffernutter」ING TRIDENTS, OMG I don't understand how Pix haven't realised this disease spreading through the game! There are NO reliable counters to this that don't use a Fury and this is a BROKEN setup that requires literally NO skill to pilot and needs to be hit HARD with the nerf fish, I am SICK and TIRED of this bullcrap that is the mid-range plague. I am considering jumping all four of those maps just to play on Dead City and Powerplant, I was against map jumping before but after the new MM, I am actually deciding to do that, I don't find it fun to get killed by 5 Fury Tridents (sometimes a Fury Treb in there) nearly every game on those 4 maps. Pix do something about this or you WILL lose A LOT of your player base. 「fluffernutter」ing worst update ever, if there was a -10 star rating for this game on Playstore I would choose that, the only reason I stay on this game is to see if things improve as they were said to

If you guys want to leave the game, feel free to give anything to me before doing so... All joke aside it takes ages to get bots or weapons in this game. That's a bit depressing to see people with beautiful hangar talking about leaving this game.

I'm also wondering if I shouldn't quit the game. The "who has the most Trident Fury" contest contributes more than the new MM to my frustration, BTW.

Every time I spawn on Yam, Springfield, or canyon it's trident fury after trident fury after trident fury........treb fury. Unfortunately I see no nerf to the tridents coming any time soon. And before it's suggested I have a fury and tridents, riding the bench because I find it completely unfun to play so no I won't be fielding it just to counter an already op set up. Unfortunately the only good option is to ditch on anything but PP, DC, and Shenzen so that you can have a chance to actually play the game instead of just dodge the tridents.

I have a Molot griffin (800m range) which can take on a Trident Fury (600m range) ... just keep him about 700 'job's a goodun' ;-)
I was happy running 2 Geps for beacons & Boas for brickfighting ... I miss those halcyon days ...
Since the new MM now I have a full hangar of Griffs (only L6) of various load outs ... Pin/Tulumbas ... Molots ... Orkan/Pinata ... Mag/Taran ... & the wierd one aphid/hydra
The Tulum/pin could take on a Trident/Fury too... 500m range .. jump when trident salvo launched ...might take 1 or 2 hits ..get cover while he reloads The Hydra can pick chunks off them at 600m ...it's just not a very strong wep (buyers remorse on that one) The other griffs you just need to get closer .... Fury pilots often think they are invincible - that is their weakness
Bots are all the same (at the mo')but the weps give some variety ... weps need some serious leveling up ... that's gonna take time
I have seen a stalker rip a Fury to pieces ... used speed & stealth to tie him up & pick HP as he went
Don't fear the Fury! ... oversized piece of (expensive) junk ;-)
Strangely I like canyon ... Yamantau is just a massive trudge from one end to the other & a slugfest over the centre beacon ... & Springfield favours the team spawning on the farm side

Flank it with plasma or get right in its face with a DB. Even just corner shooting it with a plasma Galahad works, given enough time. I've popped the Lance's physical shield and killed a few that way. The real problem is the passengers that an Ancelot will bring with him. Usually the threat of rockets deters dense stacking, but the new mighty Ancile takes away that threat. So you get, to borrow a cardboard counter wargaming term, kill stacks.

Yes.
In the old MM I had a 'high hangar' (HS, then Gold) and used it, but was always frustrated by the see saw effect MM imposed. Win too little get carried, win too much get utterly screwed.
But then I could always load up a lower hangar and blast away, avoiding the see saw treadmill.
Now there's nothing else.

If the league system doesn't fixs the issues then most of our clan will leave and find a new game. We lost 5 members already because the game is not fun anymore
I will wait for the league system but this game right now is no where's near as fun as it was a couple of months ago..

So on your way across the map to take out a fury you get to try and pass 5 other bots whom most are taking shots at you from a safe distance and another who is in your face.. You rarely make it cross map to get the fury... OR if you take your time and waste 3 or 4 minutes trying to get to the fury or natsha safely you lose out on damage so low trophies and no gold rewards for you.. I think the long range game at the higher lvls will prove to be unfun and when the league system is implemented you will see most all players staying in the mid tiers As for ancile lancelot... stay out of range and use range weapons.. otherwise its a game of numbvers either your teammates rush ahead with you or you all sit back and take shots and hope for an opening

No, not losing interest in the game, my matches have become fairly stable. Leveling bots up to weapon levels helped. But I have a lot of RL crap going on, and I can usually only get about 5 games in a day now... so IDK if Android is still more stable than iOS, or if the bot leveling helped the most, or what, but these matches have been nice.
The lack of decent Ag rewards has been a drag. But the fun of the matches has ramped up for me. Decent teams on both sides is the norm now. With some bots higher than me, others lower. I love those games where the top players on both sides are the ones with the lowest bot and weapon numbers... usually 10 minutes of greatness.
I will say that Mid-Range has a permanent place in my hanger now, and more often than not, 2 bots with some sort of mid or long range weapons have been the norm lately.
I use Carnies though, I haven't pulled out the Fury since before Halloween. I just don't dig it. And the overabundance of them has me look at it like I did the Gep back in the clubber era: Great bot, but I ain't touching it with a 10' pole.
