Hi All, I've been playing this game for a couple of months. For the most part it is very fun. But what I can't work out is how guys like in the picture are in Gold League II. There was a whole clan that turned up and simply wiped the floor with all us new guys with under levelled weapons. I've spent money on the game with my bots and weapons playing the style I like but this is crazy and can't compete. It happens probably 1 in 6 games which is pretty crap. Or the game before that there was only 2 guys on the other team. And there was a game yesterday where there was a clan full of Cossack's! Like a swarm of them then they all just left the game once their first robot died. Is this tanking? And if so why or why would you bother coming down and killing off under levelled guys trying to have fun?!?  |

Cant see your picture yet but, my guess you see a level 30 OP player in gold. He is a tanker. He purposefully lost a lot of matches so his league points would go down. He cant handle the big boys so he has to pick on the lower leagues. He is disgusting and one of the main problems with the game to date. again just my guess as I can t see the picture.

Sadly it's an epidemic in the game. It happens a lot and it's rife even in D1. When I saw it was happening I adopted a "a damage limitation" approach. I tried to survive as long as possible against the heavily armoured and equipped red team - I wasn't going to win but i wasn't going to lose without a fight either. Good luck!

The advice I've been getting, and like someone here already mentioned, is just get as much damage as you can. They're in every league, the problem isn't going away anytime soon, and we just gotta deal with it. Hopefully with integrity, ya know? Oh, and have fun in spite of them. Or just TO spite them. Even Leroy Jenkins had fun haha! I see them dropping in expert and I've adopted a no fighting back philosophy against them. I'm usually close to a beacon by the time I see them and they start shooting me but I ignore them.
I try to make them score as much damage as possible or until they destroy my bot. I then get ignored and they die to someone else.

This clan and some of the 6666 clan member tanks a lot as well. They do so by exiting the clan then when they rank enough, join back to bring the clan point up speedy. Rinse repeat.

I left a clan because someone suggested we do this. He asked us to join a Facebook group to become friends in the game and tank together. SMH what a loser. |

Those funny symbols, where the name should be, translate to "The Art of Tanking" Unfortunately, you're going to have to get use to it. |

I play in master league with 3 natasha a fujin and a wayland, one natasha is mk2 but the rest are 9 and under. I have no idea how I made it this far but I literally cant compete. All my robots get wiped out in the first 2 minutes of a match. Is there a way to drop leagues without being a dirtbag? BTW my highest weapon is a lvl 9 calamity. Im getting ready to say the hell with it and find another game, loseing a few is ok loseing them all is not fun in any game.

We are an anti-tanking forum here... it may be that it's not as big of a deal now since Pixo has screwed players with the point system but the rules still state that condoning tanking or explaining how to do so in a post or thread will get you banned or suspended by the mods. I am not one, and don't care as much as I used to (I'd still never do it) but just a fair warning for you.
Maybe read up on how to deal with it without tanking, or some of the fine folks here can help you out on a new thread... or PM someone to see if they will help, but as a whole, stay away from placing tanking in a positive light or asking how...

Nope... to combat tanking they limit the amount of points you can lose after a few bad losses (I don't know the exact formula) and it eventually causes everyone to rise. It's one of the many things wrong right now.
And be careful leaving... you do it too much (couldn't tell you how much is too much, either) and they punish you for that. Never leave after the countdown is done if you DO leave.
As far as dropping... all I will say is FFA. I won't answer any other questions about it since I like it here.  |

Suggestions? I like the game, love the gameplay but I am not going to dump hundreds of dollars into the game and playing 50 or 60 matches a day to get my daily tasks done is getting old.Anyone able to help me out or am I going to hear the typical "build your hanger up over the next 8 months and keep loseing till you win" that I keep reading on the boards?

BTW I have never left a game, I fight to the bitter end usually only takes 2 minutes and then sit and watch helplessly as my team does there thing. Any help suggestions or advise would be appreciated.

As I said I have no idea how I got into this league I thought it was scaled for player skill and/or bot levels but beleive me I am not skilled and my bots suck. you want to manage your league, right? play ffa, and dont try hard. a fourth place will still advance you, but the fifth and last places will get yo negative points.i do not know how many losing streaks it takes before you stop receiving negative points though. i play ffa in Champions League since december with lvl 9 gear now, but i do like the challenge. your bots and their levels may or may not be a fit for the league you are in, but i do believe you have every right to manage yours. of course, out of courtesy to others who try and enjoy this game, you should consider doing so in solo gaming like ffa. good luck and enjoy |
