Deadeye, how does it feel to lose your Orkaechi to a DB Griff?

That was 1 vs 5 encounter and that haechi was hit by: shocktrain, orkan, scourge and ember in the same time. So... Does it say anything about anything?

Does it say anything about anything? 1: he lost a one tenth of his health from that encounter and i've already lost more i think that just levels the playing field 2: none of us had a direct line of sight on him 3: most of the encounter only him and i are directly engaging 4: when he lost all of his health only i was hitting him 5: a legend league player in the strongest clan probably have a better assessment of the situation than a gold league player and i wouldn't have shared this video if it was a 5 on 1

Hey, I know that guy...lol
TheWWRNerdGuy it feels...well it's quite common actually. Actually, I think I remember that EXACT game and remember thinking he played it perfectly. I need to watch again to remember how I played it.
FeistyRaccoon I'll get you back in BoT later.

Yep, that was the one I was thinking of. He played it perfectly. In retrospect, the better thing for me to do would have been to, 1) regroup and let my shield recharge (that would have taken precious time that wasn't available at that point in the match) or 2) to charge just when he started taking off my shield. I didn't do the first because I felt the sting of losing my shield, but that shouldn't have stopped me, he was able to regenerate orkans/piñatas while I waited and my shield wasn't near replenished enough for it. His jump also nullified my orkans to a degree. I couldn't shoot him on the way up or down.
I also suspect (FeistyRaccoon correct me if I'm wrong) that his DB griff has Mk2 maxed orkans/piñatas on it. That wasn't the deciding factor, but it would add weight to the victory if true as my Haechi and orkans are Mk1 maxed.
All that said, what that video demonstrated was a master class on patience, situational awareness, corner shooting and solid griffin piloting. What was demonstrated by my group of randoms was impatience (so many guys just jumped into the hornets nest by themselves and died quickly) and a lack of teamwork. I spent almost the whole game in my Zeus Fury, but couldn't justify ditching because it is my only long range bot and there were enough shocktrains out as to warrant my maintaining some distance. I moved forward toward center when I realized my position was ineffective. I can zap many foolish folk from there. However, you'll notice FR jumped only when he needed to. If he had done otherwise, I would have hit him. Griffin pilots, DON'T JUMP UNLESS YOU HAVE TO...unless I'm on the other team. Then feel free to jump until your heart is content...or fried.
Good game FeistyRaccoon!

Good game FeistyRaccoon! Ouch, that was a beatdown of epic proportions! Feisty made it look easy, but I know I'm in those same situations too. Not easy, DB Griffin vs Orkan Roachi. I run a lot of legacy bots, so it's good to see utubers with them.

Good game FeistyRaccoon! You are class act, Deadeye. Personally, I think it's kind of lame to use somebody's bad move to make "look at me!" video, but you are great sport about it. Btw, while FR's play has been pretty good you can also be critical of it: he gets so focused on you he jumps right in front of your teammate and almost gets destroyed before getting you. One might argue that with 5 to 2 advantage you shouldn't lose bot at all.

Great game play. You inspired me to bring my Griffin's back out!
I do struggle whether I should upgrade my Kumiho to level 10 or my Dusty Griffin...both are level 8.
