When I click it, it shows the thread I just read, which contains posts from relatively newer people. Will this act as a notification when the quarantine is lifted in the thread?  |

I got that for like a day or so a couple of weeks ago.... then it was gone... I assumed a glitchy glitch had occurred.

Are you a member of the vsft or whatever it is called? That is the notification I get to check quarantined threads for approval. No, I am not, although I once applied for it. And I was not able to do anything on the quarantined thread appeared in that notification. |

You are now a VSTF member. You can approve quarantined messages. Press the clear all button to remove redundant notifications.

The notification is to tell you of a quarantined post - (no 「dookie」 , right?)
Quarantined because the poster has less than 50 (I think) posts - it was to stop the gore spam
Click on the post in the list ...
if it has a yellow bar you can read the post and approve it (Approve button - magic eh?)
If it has been approved already then it will have a green tick by the post
If you get an oops message - the post was spam and has been deleted

I am not on the team and I don't have the "quarantine" menu item now... but I did. And it only showed 1 thread with a quarantined message, yet I had no options to do anything with it. It doesn't actually address the posts in quarantine -- it clears the log of the reports. |

If i remember correctly, Quarantine was put in place after some guy flooded the forums with gore pics, thankfully i wasn't around to witness any at the time.

inspirace We have had this problem ever since the plugin. VSTF does two things now. A.) Watches and rids the forums of spammers by deleting posts and banning them. And B.) Approves quarantined posts as needed. For “A”, we pretty much just add you to the VSTF forum group which already has preset permissions to moderate posts and ban members for the whole group and when you added, Poof! You gain your powers and you are stronk. For B however, something has to be done seperately through the plugin before you can approve the posts. Something that only Strayed and maybe SuperHero know how to do. We will get it sorted and I will post back here when it is. Sorry about the confusion. Welcome to VSTF. ? GR If any other VSTF members cannot see or approve quarantined posts, post here and we will get you sorted as well.

While we don’t expect every VTSF/Mod to read every quarantined post word for word, make sure you are at least skimming over the content. Keep in mind that we are not just simply keeping an eye out for gore posts anymore.!we gave the plugin... may as well get the most out of it. With that said, don’t approve anything you think has a chance of being moderated. This includes mostly but not limited to, posts that are encouraging or teaching others to exploit the game and/or the league system, spam, purposefully and explicitly avoiding the language filter and blatant personal attacks. If you see any posts fall into these categories or are unsure, just don’t approve them. Let them sit there or clear them. Clearing the quarantine is the other thing I want to tough on. When you are finished checking the quarantine and have gone through all the posts that need to be, tap the clear all button. Thus will ensure that the next person who comes along will not see the posts you just went through. Otherwise they may be tapping/clicking each one, only to find out it’s already been approved. And of course, don’t hit the clear all button until you have viewed and approved (or not) everything in that queue. I have also approved a few just so I could delete them. You can’t delete them until they are approved. I honestly forgot that they could he seen from from mobile. So yes I agree, something should be done about them other than letting them float around unapproved. If you guys have any that are questionable you can feel free to message myself or one of the other mods about it with a link to the thread/post in question and we can handle it. |
