Golden Gate:Two opposing cities connected by a bridge as long as the one in yama and has cover from the sides(like the one in yama).the bridge is slightly elavates towards the center to avoid fire from campers near the spawn(it is also the location of the center beacon which cannot be captured from below). The home beacons are located near the spawn but the side beacons are at each side of the map and those beacons are covered from a cargo ship like the one in PP.The side beacons can provide cover from enemy camper fire and allied fire can be done to pesky cappers/beacon runners. The main feature of this map is the large bridge and foggy dried up river bed. War Zone:Two opposing bases and a large building at the middle which contains the center beacon.Around the building are large trenches which is (practically more like a maze) where the robots can freely move and some areas of the treanches has bridges if some choose to go over than under.Main feature are the trenches(the new moon map is very simmilar to my concept of this map) Highlands:Very large lake and a midevil collapsed castle at the center of the lake and connected by four bridges(with side cover) that forms a cross if viewed above(location of spawn, home beacons, and side beacons). The castle itself is at least the same size as the center of shenzen but with lots of cover and an elavation towards a tower where center beacon is located.Main feature is one can drop on the lake but movement speed is decreased by 25% and no way of climbing up back except going back to spawn(which is a pain in the butt if you decide to walk balk).Main feature is the lake Under World:Very large mining area where the ceilling is low enough to prevent zenit/noricum rain but high enough for jumpers to jump.Very hard to establish ranged fire support except hydra/spiral/aphid(included aphids cuz one can sit behind cover and just chuck it to someones face little or without return fire).lots of evalations and cover.beacons yet to be determined.Main feature is that being underground. what do you guys think? My favorite would be highlands and a perfect place for the knights too .

I think war zone is a good idea. Highlands sounds cool too.

Gonna say Golden Gate. With heavy fog in the valley as well as smoking, wrecked robot hulls.

would be cool to see all those maps in the game (personally Highlands)but....the chances of any map ideas getting put into the game is next to nothing.even telling pixonic about your ideas is a hard task.and since they are releasing a new map soon (SUPER HAPPY)they probably won't be planning on making any more for at least 6 months.do love to read through ideas from the public and imagine them.
maybe we could have a contest of some sorts.see who can create the best map.then we get someone to draw pictures of the map and then forward it to pixonic, they will have to consider it then.

I'd like to suggest dropping the smaller maps altogether. The ones we have could be expanded. That would enhance their playabilty a lot. I rarely play in those arenas since they're so confined and crowded with obstacles. I'd rather concentrate on manuevering, aiming and shooting than avoiding crap that stops me from doing so.

If anything, I would vote for dropping the larger maps as they have very little to contribute to strategy due to the oversaturation of midrangers there. The smaller maps require more skill to play as you have to be able to avoid ambushes while moving through cover and flanking enemies. The only strategy for the larger maps at this point is just to field as many midrangers as possible. This will work 90% of the time as long as you are not facing a highly skilled squad.

Well that's a rare opinion. I personally like the smaller, cover-full maps as it promotes choke-point strategy, rather than flat-out exchange of fire. To most people, "avoiding crap" isn't too much of a problem, except maybe for Rhino pilots XD. To be frank, people don't like the larger maps because of how little cover there is, and how easy it is to just dominate with ranged weapons without contest. These maps promote camping, and we don't like campers do we?

I'm referring to the crap on the floor that stops you cold not the larger items that can be used for cover. I should have clarified that I suppose. And you're right about the overall cover on the larger maps. There could be more.
I'd really like to see destructible terrain features. Buildings and mesas that crumble under sustained fire. Maybe be ble to shoot those smaller annoying terrain features I mentioned earlier and destroy them. Some tougher than others obviously. A player wouldn't be able to use the same cover for the whole game then and it could add some more of those annoying smaller obstacles(lol). And maybe add some woodlands with destructible trees as well.

I wonder no one likes warzone, people wanted close range maps so I thought a trench fight style map would work.Golden gate is understandable though, its just pretty much the same as a yama bridge fight.

I now know what you're referring to by crap on the floor, eg the drain in Powerplant, the wires on Canyon, the sides of the centre beacon hills in DC. But the point of these is that experienced players know where these obstacles are, and they know to avoid them. It's the game's way of naturally dividing the noobs from the vets. I'm not sure whether you're being completely serious about the destructible terrain features. That would bring in a crazy amount of bugs and glitches into the game with that many new entities... I like the lag how it is now. I am a serial victim of lag spikes, I would not like any more being introduced by the addition of hundreds of new entities around the maps.
