So am I the only one that thought the pulse weapons should NOT be released? The last thing this game needs is weapons that require no skill to aim and fire and can hit through any shield or wall.

Crap, Pix is increasing the damage and bubble distance of the Pulse weapons.
I was hoping the feedback on this weapon would kill it. This weapon makes no sense unless structure now blocks the weapon's effect.
A new map is nice, but the last thing this game needs is another indirect fire weapon. If this weapon comes out, I'll probably be moving on from this game not shortly after that as the game is getting boring already with the current amount of skilless weapons being used.

Creates a whole new kind of knife fighting, and really, REALLY annoying camping strats.

Playing the test server last time with the translucent Ork outlines it felt like fighting robot zombies running at you

FFA I would adore that mode! Trying to kickass on 11 pilots at once? Hell yeah! But 5 slots would be the new general meta, and yet still have MM matchmaking headaches from equipment disparities. Also, I would expect an FFA mode will trigger a lot of crap players to get into hardcore camping. Last man standing and all that.

New map on the test server. It's like a WW2 trench in European front. Lots of cover. But if you can jump, you can jump onto the wall.
I managed to jump onto the highest structure in the middle of the map to see the whole area.

There are lots of spots where griffins/rogatkas can jump up to and do some serious damage on this map. I setup griffin heavy hanger specifically to test this map's various high ground. I was able to kill some unsuspecting players in this match.

Pulses can be interesting if it is merged with Ancile, and can be used with scaling damage and range equal to current Ancile.
Assault Armor be on War Robots.

Yes, the pulse weapons require no skill to hit. But, all weapons can be hit easily. The real challenge is using them effectively. And staying within 150m and still managing to avoid enemy fire long enough to do substantial damage does imho take skill.

Saw both vids of new map by yhondeh.
My thoughts: -I think that Pulses are pretty much confirmed to be in. Unless they want to make the center beacon actually unique and not it being designed for pulses. It's like Canyon center beacon, except made more unique and closed. -I like the map. It is small(and I like them less usually), but not as cluttered as PP/DC or as open as Canyon. I hope they will give it good textures.

I don't mind the pulse weapon. I was not lucky enough to get the new map yet but I think the pulse weapon is easy to defend against. I did put on on an ancilot with a taran. I worked okay but I have not seen enough battle to make an opinion yet. I'll know more when I play the new map. What I do like is that if the new weapon is released, it will force us to change our current tactics.

So the new map looks you combined power plant, canyon, and yamantau. Doesn't look all that interesting.
I'd like to see a test on a sixth slot.

I didn't try it myself, but I watched a couple videos and the new weapon is just ridiculously powerful for something that hardly requires any thought to use. I think the map is great though.

Definitely you are not alone with your thoughts ! I agree you and I'll quote myself what I think about last time when they were in test: --- 28 Jan 2017:
My thoughts about pulse weapons:
- no more tactics needed, just run into enemy and fire - no more "Lock on Target" needed, just run into enemy and fire - no more cover needed, just run next to cover and fire
... just pointless strobe lights flashing all over the map, robots running point A to point B.
I'll stick to ordinary weapons. Thanks.--- No change to my thoughts. Pulse weapon concept is good, however pulse should be light-based pulse which does not penetrate covers and maybe only concentrated narrow angle burst toward targeted enemy. New maps are always welcome! That new map feels to be good in size, to me it looks like Power Plant and Canyon together... waiting for textures to it !
