This is not a recommendation, it is not intended as that.
This comes out of a discussion in my clan about seeing hangars with single 12/12 bots (usually trident fury) where the rest were say 9/10.
This is also in line with the new 'non-tier' system.
(For full disclosure, this idea was soundly shouted down by those that saw it).
With the cost and time of upgrades and the race to get to as high quality hanger as possible.
What are thoughts on levelling portions of hangers more the rest?
Say in my average game I go through 4 bots and rarely bring out the 5th (Not actually true but it's hypothetical).
Would it be a plan to say have a 9/9 bot to begin with and scout out what else is on the field. Then have 3 11/11 brawlers and then have a last 9/9 bot in reserve (where if you are going that badly then it it likely not of much use anyway).
Eventually everything could be levelled, but in the meantime you have higher level bots on the field doing damage?

Maybe they try to get paired with more powerful allies?

Maybe they try to get paired with more powerful allies? In the current MM environment I don't think that would specifically change anything.

I understand what you are doing and I am going to level 4 out of my 5 bots while I wait to replace it with an end game bot. I think that having only 3 high level is not such a good idea but I'd rather have 4 awesome bots say at 11/11 and the other stuck at 6/6 than 5 at 9/9.
Basically, I'm leveling so as to avoid the (mis)match maker pairing me with super strong bots by having my own super strong bots.

The majority of my hanger is at 7/9. I am bring up some other odd bots and weapons to the same level before permanently choosing my final hanger.

Also, 4 at 11/11 and one at 6/6 is a hell of a lot more time and silver than 5 at 9/9. Upgrades are not quite exponential, but they get very expensive in time and silver.

Theoretically, you'd be versed against other 11/12 hangars, where your 9/9s would be disadvantaged. I'd rather have the fighting chance. And it has happened to me. I'll at least keep my weapons equal, if not all bots within 1.
Hypothetically speaking of course.

In this new MM, I'm leveling weapons over bots. Get weapons to max and bots to max speed, so 9/12 mostly. Pushing bots to twelve will be the last step, with my brawlers going to twelve first.

In terms of bot performance, level 9 is max speed for alot of bots. Hopefully game will feel much different (competitive) at that point. My plan: 9/9 9/10 - evaluate *performance and feel - where do I stack up stat wise - Dam / War Robots / earning Au - how long do I last in battle. From what I've seen mostly like will go 10/10 then diverge based on purpose. Knifer do bots/weps and support do just weps. I have seen more 10/10 hangers and alot more 10/10+ variations then hangers with level 9/10+. I revamped my hanger, changed out 3/5 bots and many weapons. Both stats Dam & War Robots are moving steadily up. Game is turning back to Fun vs. Frustration!

I don't level that way, but I'll take my lowest bot out first, and seek out the bigger threats to wear down with it, before bringing out my better bots.

And also the point of getting everything up to 9 to have full speed. Would you take three knifer bots up to 12/12 while leaving say a glass cannon and a RDB at 9/11 or even less? PS - Been running three griffins again for a couple of days. I am really experimenting with my hangar.

Been running 3 Griffins steady for quite a while. Now running 1 Griffin. Really changed my game. Exactly with the rdb (that was my mid range), I would (old MM - level those weps 1st, I feel the same now. When I reach level 9 my mid range (now a Leo) - I will definitely try 9/11 before I would spend time getting the bot to 10. At level 9, I hope that higher weapon levels would be a more effective combo than bot health. The knifers, will wait and see - I like Dam over HP, but if they are not lasting I will certainly level a bot to find out. That would be new, have always done weapons first. I am now into experimenting as well.

Absolutely completely missed the point of this thread. I agree, but you are missing the implied topic of your stated topic, "Leveling levely", something related to a question I asked in another thread. You should have titled the subject, "Upgrading Unevenly". Moving past that, everyone disagreeing with you is basing their arguement on their experience of being satisfied with a different choice. None of them have empirical evidence that your idea will or won't work and are only theorizing. You will be discussing this forever if you try to get a consensus of a single theory. You should only listen to opinions based on actual experience trying your suggestion. Lacking testament from anyone with experience, I suggest you end discussing theory and move into practice and just do it. Then, your experience will make you the best authority on that topic and you can come back and tell us if it works or fails. At worst, if it fails, you will just spend 2 weeks bringing your lagging bots up to speed.

Funny fact is that after all the nagging on clubbers, the current mm favors the "old" clubbers. People who harvested a lot of gold in times of old mm are doing much better now with Au gathered. And it's a common fact that clubbing was fastest way to lots of gold. Moreover the new mm creates conditions for even more demonstrative clubbing than ever before. Ones that clubbed did not show much skill before, but now they don't have to at all...they can use the Au to continue clubbing just with different bots and flawed mm. Win-win situation all the way

So even assuming I have 2 lagging bots and I haven't levelled anything to 12. The lag would be over a month.

Yes and since we can only upgrade one item at a time, there is some uneven leveling most of the time. Upgrading a hangar to 11/11 takes the same time when done evenly or unevenly. You should try your idea of leveling only 3 and if it doesn't work, you will just upgrade the other 2, spending the same time as upgrading all to 11/11 evenly.

I level levely. If I was to do anything unlevely I would run any sniper/ midrange bots a couple levels lower (same weapons). They stay far enough back that the extra hit points will not be missed as much. If I had a light capper I might run its weapons a few levels lower. This is because the not isn't really designed to engage the enemy. These conditions would be temporary just to free up some time/silver to upgrade the knife fighters in my hanger levely.
