I'm interested in trying out a Boa with Zeus, and I'm trying to decide the best weapon to complement it.
I'm looking to use it in a modified brick fighting role, where I will encourage the reds to come to me, while I peek out and give them some lightning and rockets to eat.
Tulumbas would reinforce my damage at range, Orkan would help me shred them more quickly as they try to close with me.
Thoughts?

Honestly, I'd put the Zeus on a Golem with Tulumbas and pins. You'll be doing most of your fighting at 500m, so the extra HP of the Boa won't be as beneficial as the dps of the pins.
If you are really set on the Boa, tulumbas are your best option imho.

Wow, that's a toughie. I would be loathe to answer without saying something along the lines that miscanthus said at the beginning of his post... Zeus and Boa do not usually make efficient partners. However, you could go with Tulumbus if you want, but that seems to finalize it's role as a Mid-range support bot. Same with Hydras or Molot Mk2s. If it were me, I would go all energy and throw Tarans on there to cover the short range fight. True, you are losing the ability to handle Shield bots head on, so that limits the Brickfighter role, a lot, however, you are guaranteeing that two of the best damage options in the game are able to provide near sustained energy fire. You will be an Ancile bot's nightmare. And any shield bot that shows you its soft side, will get tazed like a college protester at Berkely (or whatever the school was that served as the setting for the infamous "don't taze me bro!" scene...). The only other option in my mind, is an Ork. You have to have something close range to fill that particular (Brickfighter, even modified) role, IMO. I guess, if you want to experiment, try them all... but I don't think you will get the Brickfighter performance you want with the Zeus.

I'm sorry, I just can't see a Boa with a Zeus, at all, ever.
My Boa helped carry me to TT with Thunder and Taran.
I still bring it out, my level 11 Boa with its little lvl 10 brother to have fun and climb on a Rhino, so they can say, "What the heck just happened to my Rhino."

I've had some success running a Zeus with various kinds of Punishers, including on the Boa. This allows you to close when needed, or stay at the 400m range when fighting plasma/rockets.
If you go with a Taran or Orkan (which also can do some damage), then you need to play it a little differently and think of the Zeus softening them up for the close range kill. If you like the option of keeping the range open, then you won't be served well by the short range rockets or plasma.
If you want to keep the range open, then you might try a Hydra.

Wouldn't run a single Zeus on any bot. Either buy another and put them both on the Carnage or buy another two and put all three on a Fury.

Hydra for the range match, and to annoy your enemies

No Hydras unless you want to be targeted first by both the enemy team and your teammates.

I would pair a BOA/Zeus with a Thunder and an Orkan (thus removing the Zeus). I joke, of course. The best medium weapon I can think of to pair with Zeus would be Tulus, but I think you will be sad when your Boa sneaks up to a bad guy, as Boas often do, and all you brought to the kill party was some tulus...

I just watched a team mate with a level 12 Boa, with level 12 Zeus and Orkan. It looked good for about 15 seconds. Then is was destroyed by a Rogue Nation clan member.
I sure hope he is on the opposition next time.
I have the pilots name, but I can't bring myself to put it into text for all eternity or at least the very near future. This pilot was boasting a 31% win rate and an impressive 2.1 average kill

A Zeus Shlutze is a fun bot to play. I wouldn't put a Zeus on a Boa.

There is nothing about brick fighting that works better at range. Certainly there is no point "encouraging the reds to come to you" and then mounting weapons that give up high damage for the ability to reach out to longer distances.
I hate prescribing loadouts or tactics to anyone, but there are obvious exceptions. Boas should come with Thunders permanently mounted... there is no other heavy weapon that suits their advantages and disadvantages. The only decision you have to make is Orkan/Taran (assuming you have one of each) or Punisher Mk2 (maybe Tulumba... but even that's getting a little crazy) while you save up for an Orkan or Taran. Orkan is best IMO, if you can spare the Au.
Boas kick butt up close and that's where they belong.
