Here in my pain, reading everything that's on Internet to help me with swollen gum pain. I've been through a lot of physical pain in this life, but never such one as this, does anyone have any idea from their own experience on how to reduce the swelling/pain ?

Assuming you don’t have numbing spray, warm salt water or a stiff drink absorbed by the gums might help. But only as a stopgap till you can get to a dentist.

I did salt water like 3 4 glasses until right now, and the stiff drink might just irritate my gums even more(I read tobacco and alcohol is bad,cuz it irritates the gums). Anyway, I'm using ice to reduce the swelling and I don't think it is reducing the swelling but at'least I'm feeling less pain in the gum, until 7 8 more hours hopefully.

Gum infection? Mouthwash. Slows down bacterial growth. Btw dont drink milk in the meantime. Has the opposite effect.

p.s. gum pain / toothache in the upper teeth could also be the result of infected sinuses from blowing your nose too vigorously.
