With the old MM from weeks ago I was doing great, and had a 60-70 percent win rate. Then my win rate went down to 40 percent and I am facing hard opponents. With the MM from weeks ago you would face easier opposition when you had a lower win rate, but it's not like that anymore.I was using a used to be low gold hanger. After that I switched to my used to be bronze hanger, and that was also crushed. Do any of you notice this? By the way, I use iOS.

Your performance rating under the new MM is based on damage done per match, relative to the other pilots' damage rates, aggregated over time.
Using your bronze hangar, regardless of intentions, will get you tagged as a seal-clubber by a new security feature of the new MM, and it will rate you based on the strongest weapon you own, no matter what guns you are using. Other former clubbers have reported needing bots and weapon levels greater than or equal to 4 (possible 6) to avoid this "feature".
Otherwise, hangar strength has a very minimal impact on the new MM, and you will NOT see results after a significant hangar change for several matches.

I am on Android and it is saddly the same horrid experience I have had for the last week and a half (with the pleasent exception of when they used the old mm a few days ago due to a tech problem)
Level 6/7 hanger and level 8-10 opponents. It's becoming a chore to keep playing at this point.

I'd like to hear this. Yes, yes I would...

I'd like to hear this. Yes, yes I would... This is only my summation of the results of many other threads dedicated to figuring out the new Matchmaker and how it works. All is speculation until Pixo figures out that security through obscurity is a bad idea and tells us what is really going on. Level 30 players that attempt to use hangars with bots and guns below level 4 (possibly level 6) are thrown into matches with very, very strong hangars. I believe this is a 'security feature' intended to end seal-clubbing as we knew it. The apparent effect is that you get an internal Hangar Score based on the highest level of guns or bots that you own, period, rather than the bots and guns actively in use in your low-ball hangars. Thus, if you have a level 12 weapon, but load up all level 1 equipment, your hanger score matches that level 12 weapon. Drastic hangar changes do have an immediate impact on your matchmaking placements, but it is so subtle that most folks don't even notice. Trying to switch from a 'gold' tier to a 'bronze' tier hangar will be painful because of this new 'feature, but it has nothing to do with the 'normal' matchmaking process.

Check my thread called "looks like the new MM is back* I have been documenting my results there. After 35-40 matches I am finally seeing silver-trash gold bots. I was running a 6/6 hanger when I started but now 2 bots are 7/6.

I must have landed I some perfect pocket because I seem to be one of the few who have had a good time with the new mm since match 1. Sure my 84% winrate went to 70% but I'm having way more fun. Currently a few upgrade away from an 8/8.5 2x plasmahads 1 zeus carnage and 2 aphid ork griffs. And my matchups have always been very fair in my eyes. With the occasional slaughter win and lose but hey that always happened. What I do notice is win or loss the matches are longer and more intense. I do recognize that alot of players consistently end up matches with full heavies. Which would suck. But since I never ran a clubber hangar, ever, I can only assume such a long string of high winrate is a large factor in some people meeting a long string of upgraded heavies.

Above shows my current hanger w lvl 6 heavys. I have some higher heavies I dont use, but will be good for testing this theory! Level 7 Natasha & Leo. *edit Nat was lvl 6, leaving in my Rhino Level 8 Griffin I will pair w lvl 7 Galahad & Carnage. Let see what happens! Attachment Deleted

Been playing lvl 6/7 bots with equal weapons and having no issues with MM. Yes win rate has dropped from 78% to 48-58% range - BUT - the matches are epic. Regularly face level 8+ and weeps 10-12, but generally each team is evenly matched.
Long live the new MM.
