It was about what you would expect as far as performance. What I didn't expect was how many enemies would focus on hunting down the sniper haechi.

Or does, generally speaking, the off-the-charts mobility make hunting you down nearly impossible? What level molots did you use? thanks, Yat

I just got carved up by a Molot Tempest Leo (lvl 12 weapons). He took 2nd highest damage on the winning red team. Granted, the map was Canyon. Those Molots can be effective. One shouldn’t underestimate them.

I still play my Molot Doc from time to time, it's a shredder on canyon/yama/springfield
The problem is it's so 「fluffernutter」ing terrible on every other map.

I could see the Molot Haechi being an interesting build... worth trying before I comment on it, specifically... but tbh, the only 2 builds that I really like with them on any map are the Tempest Molot-t Lance and the Molot Griff. The Griff for the vertical mobility coupled with the firepower, and the Lance because it is versatile enough to work in the backfield of any advance... providing mobile support (I know debate exists on that build, but it works for me). Both have places on every map, but also have enough firepower and defensive ability to hold off close range intruders (as long as you aren't out in the open all alone... swinging in the breeze... ) On long maps, I like the Rhino Molot for anti Sniper work... it excels at it. Amazingly well. Rhino's shield is still a beast. IMO, YMMV

Most of the vulnerabilities of the high jump are negated at 800m and I couldn’t think of a better bot to manoeuvre to the perfect firing line for the Molots

Tempest/Molot Golem is great and I think would dish out more damage. Maybe try Scourge/Gekko? Do you know what does more damage at 600m? Molot or Scourge?

I'd bet an order of 500 Au that the Molot out damages it at 600. And I think I agree with DV that the Hover is a good "on paper" build. That is the one ranged build for it that I gave only small attention to... 2 or 3 games. I got fed up with always getting the wrong maps to really test it. I ended up putting Puns on my Hover after reading about someone's experience with that build on the Forum, and I have to agree that it is a great build. Taran Mag is my second favorite. I will give the Molot build another try... at the time that I tried it I was mostly using the Hover for Beacon running so shorter ranged builds seemed to be better, and were. I stick with the Storm Gust Gala for that now... on that account, so I can use the Hover for more tactically complex roles (at least until the Beacon portion of the Lunar event hits... Hovers are damned good at eating distance and will go back to being the first drop).

One shouldn’t underestimate them. I have a 9/10/9 Tempest/Molot Leo that I occasionally will use on the large maps such as Yam, SF, and Canyon. It does a fair amount of damage. I'm anxious to take them up to level 11 in a couple of weeks. Maneuvering a Leo is like trying to walk through deep mud. It's an awkward beast, but incredibly durable, even at level 9. And deadly, if carrying the right payload. BTW I saw an MK II Gunship on Canyon a week or two ago. That guy/gal was doing some serious mayhem from 600-700 meters.

It worked pretty well if you were up on top of a building or on a high cliff. One problem, though. You can easily be Trebuchet fodder. And if you get too absorbed with one target, somebody can slip in to RDB range and quickly melt you. One thing I noticed is that a lot of cliffs, towers, and spires are higher than the hover can reach. Too bad, too. Could really open up a new avenue for the Hover.

Probably about as useless as the Molot Kumiho I am running this week...
