I am in a clan that has a couple of active-Ish players. We have a pretty broad spectrum of levels. We are trying to tighten things up: min. 4 slots, high diamond/Expert, Discord for squading. The problem, is we have one guy who fluctuates between Master and Champ, I am Expert 1, we have a smattering if others in Expert and then everything else. With limited players, how do you guys balance squading? If we play with the Champ, the level is too high for many. I am getting tired of playing solo and trying to get this clan more into squading but it is tough given the range. Also, do other clans do clan night or mandatory inter squad matches? I am curious how your clans are setup.

Carbonite this weekend our clan had some custom matches, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3. I had prior commitment and couldn’t participate. From the looks of our Discord server and all the convo in the channel we setup for it, it was a huge success. Lot of the members recorded videos of the matches, all are available to watch on our Video channel. One member is even making a montage of some so we can see them all together. Rules were flexible but we had from Silver to Masters (no Champs in our clan) playing in them. Good natured ribbing. Lot of these ? after the comments. Maybe this is a way you can go and have some fun in the clan. I know for sure next time I will be there. Time zones is our biggest problem for clan squad night, because it could be afternoon, morning or wee hours of the morning for our clan. So it is hit and miss for that. If a couple are on, then they get together. But it does pose a problem for a bunch of us to get together. ?

Don't mix leagues. Its a mess. Unless you are talking about gold-diamond. Mixing lower leagues with top tier is suicide.

Will comme make enough of a difference that coordinated attack will mitigate lower level players? I don’t really care about results but rather the prospect of playing with others.

It may not be the answer you were looking for but like before-mentioned don't mix. Other alternatives? Not many in the current state of the game.
- Hop on comms, sure it'll help to a certain extent but but there's only so much a certain level of gear can make up for against high level competition/gear. You're always going to be playing with a handicap most of the time. You might not mind, but not everyone's going to enjoy getting the tough matchups and getting stomped a majority of your games. Depending on the time of day, the matching-making and opponents may not be too bad, and most other times will be rough. Just my 0.02 on that. - Have the person who's higher level create a second account. That way you won't be getting top competition all the time. - Just do custom games together. If you're not concerned with winning then just setup your own matchups. You can find another similar level clan and try to matchup on a given evening. This may be the best approach. A certain level of organization and planning will need to happen but not a bad route. - Join custom level tournaments like "the 6 pack" All gear and bots are level 6 or similar parameters of the sort. another way to play together. - Start over together on another platform - Subdivide your clan into an expert and below and masters and above squadding. That way you can try to avoid the bad matchups.
Just a few routes and ideas to take. Good luck, that's my 0.02 for ya.

If you have enough people playing, with discord you can always time drop squad versus squad so long as you maintain a balance between the squads.
We do this in our clan regularly. For example, you'd need a master and an expert to balance the champion player. It takes some trial and error but it can be done.
If you'd like to see it firsthand I invite you or any other clan to join us on our open discord svs channel. We squad regularly in the evenings.
Anyone interested is free to pm me.

Will comme make enough of a difference that coordinated attack will mitigate lower level players? I don’t really care about results but rather the prospect of playing with others. I have one squad of 6 in my clan that can squad together. Comms helps, but usually just lets you use your voice to tell the others you got meched. The other issue is resources, if you squad with your clan and say average 100K a match in silver, the progression from a resources stand point is shot. Its a very frustrating change that pix made with the introduction of leagues. Essentially it picks the highest player in your squad and matches to that. My way of countering this is to play with others from other clans that have well developed skill and hangers that matches my own. Again I am talking about facing Champ league in IOS, a much smaller pool than android. You can have the best strategy but if you have level 9 bots and weps you are facing clans that have even better strategy, that have played 1000's of games together, are on comms, and have full MK2 current meta hangers. The real issue is the MM and the direction Pionic chose to go, which does not make mixing leagues advantageous and hinders clan development.

Hey Brother. Word to the wise. If you are in this game long term, don't get settled on 1 clan. You will either outpace your clan mates or they will out pace you and eventually, the clan will die due to the match making algorithm. It was a sad day when I left the clan I created due to this (I was playing a lot more than the others and spending some as well) and outpaced them to the detriment of the clan. Clans in high level (Champ) league are dwindling due to consolidation since many F2P players are leaving or have left. Eventually there will be absolute power at the top with all the MKII Clans ruling the roost. Its the path we are on. My advice is once you get to Expert II, look for a top 100 clan and send requests. By virtue of squadding with them, you will earn league points and advance quickly. Be warned. It comes at a price as you will also get a lot of beat downs unless you are running premium gear at a high level.

I can dig wanting to build camaraderie in a clan by squadding, but unless you like losing as a group, avoid wide disparity in your squads.

I don't think I've seen these mentioned yet, so here's a couple:
- You need to find & join another clan for yourself, or your group, that better fits what you all are looking for. - If you're unwilling to leave that clan, then your group needs to actively start recruiting for the things you're now looking for and maybe cycle out some folks that fall too far outside the new requirements.

This thread makes me sad. But i know the pain, and there are some strong points in here to address the issues that come with a mixed squad. However, there are more options then just throwing your hands up and just ditching for another group. Top 100 groups were mixed groups at one time and sure the higher up in leagues you go the more geared players you find, but theyre almost as plentiful in gold ans silver now. Sure, many tank to seal club but some tank to play more closely w their friends. Only one post offered the suggestion to do 2v2 or 3v3 custom games with others? No offers to group up with members of your own group at their levels? Just ditch those guys theyre holding you back...「fluffernutter」ing lame.
Come play with us, bring your whole group Ill play any league and we got plenty of all levels to make multiple groups at other levels too. Teamwork is worth investing in. We are US time zones on Android. Anyone interested get on my discord or msg me.
