What i believe Grimlocke is trying to say is that this game has transformed into a pay-to-win game and i do not disagree. If you want to win, you have to hanger a gold fleet of bots. That takes time and silver. Consider how much real cash you have probably invested into this game to get the hanger you are sporting. If you mean the bots I'm sporting, of which I posted pictured here and there, not really. I've spent on the games exactly 10,15 dollars in 10x1,03 (1 euro at the exchange rate given by the game) installments during the Halloween contest... and that for pumpkins, not for actual gold. I've won respectively 838 and 1405 gold in the Halloween and Christmas contests. The rest is mission and game gold. With that, I've 3rd, 4th, 5th slot, 2 Galahad, 2 Orkams, 1 Fury, 2 aphids, 2 Zeus, 1 gepard (yes, gods of gaming forgive me, but I had to try ONE of those) for a grand total of 100+1000+5000+(2500x2)+(1.200*2)+5000+(750*2)+(1500x2)+1200= 24.200 gold. I've started playing last July, let's say 210 days ago, and I've been pretty methodic (can you tell? ) at 63 gold average a day of mission gold (I've tried my luck with changing mission to get more 40 gold ones) that means 13.230 gold earned there and with 2.238 victories that makes 3,8 gold average for victory for teh rest (minus gold won in contests' lotteries).. and that was mostly beacons, as I found early on the advantage of stalkers at low level in the previous MMs while I was playing a "silver" hangar to build a "gold" one. It helped that I found the forum within the first week of playing and so I could maximize bot choices and upgrade lines and time used. Everybody can access the forums. Joining a clan very early also helped, as it increased my winning rate and gold earning A LOT. With the new MM that'ss even MORE relevant. I win maybe one third of solo games against two third of the squad ones. Also, since I don't have to worry about (most) of the teammates doing idiotic things, not capping beacons where they can or bail on me, i can actually concentrate on my game, be that damage or beacons (yes, "10 gold win" times, which were already rare for me, are probably a thing of the past). Everybody can join a clan My hangar is not top tier by any means, but I've a bunch of bots level 10 (two Golems, figure; The Galahads are 9 and 8) and weapons level 10 (Tulumbas, Orkans, Tarans, Pinatas and Pins) and with, now, a 50-60% win rate is both competitive and, usually, fun with the right amount of "what the heck is that guy doing, we are losing this game and he's running circles". Unless you are willing to spend real gold, you literally are merely targets for those who are. All this boring post to say that, no, I -fully respectfully- disagree, this isn't a pay per win only game, nor the new MM will make it so (even if, again, I admit it will make it slower for not paying players if it stays like this). Spending money helps speeding up things, yes, but that's about it, right now. (Usual warning: anecdotal, just my experience and so on).

very good post, greed is 100% the driving factor in the new mm It's so happen that is also 100% the driving factor that made them create the game in the first place and 100% the driving factor in correcting the MM if they will see it will drop new players population and, thus, future earnings. "It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. "

To those above: if their strategy is to keep throwing people in matchups like this to force them to spend real money the game will die in a very short amount of time. The new players will just get fed up and move on before spending a dime while the other players will get tired of a stagnant game. Yes, stagnant because I have read many of them here saying they like to run a variety of different hangers on different tiers just to keep from getting bored. Well if you are going to throw their "silver hanger" against TT bots, then they are just target practice too. I bet they just play their TT hanger until they get bored and leave too. I hope pic is smarter than this and they find a way to put tiers back in the game with patch 2.6 that is due out in a couple weeks (they say mid February).

" If pixonic (or any other mobile game maker) wants to make serious money all they have to do is sell in game adavantages at a reasonable price, people are willing to pay. $.99, $1.99, and $4.99 are about right.

I started to play this game late December and seeing as I never bought a game in years the wife ok'ed me spending some cash on gold. Got a pretty good hanger or so I thought. After yet another evening of loss after loss I'm done with it. For them to match light and medium bots with a couple of heavy's thrown in against full teams of heavy's with way more powerful weapons is just stupid.
I've followed the hints to not mix ranges, weapon combinations etc and was sitting at low 70% which dropped down to 30% and I have clawed it back to low 40%. Just not worth the stress. I used to think this game was great, now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I wish you all success and happy bot hunting, hopefully they will sort out the mess they have made.

Anyone notice today being better? I have a pretty sneaky suspicion that the server reset that happened over the weekend either reset the ratings, or skewed them in some way, that made us have to re-establish our own to a degree. Mine is already leveling out... I am now facing mostly even hangers (Mine is a 7/9, most are higher but not by a lot) and the pilot skills themselves are damn good. I used to think I was pretty good By the way, I do get the occasional 12/12, on my team and the reds, but so far they have been matched with the same sort of hanger on the opposite team. Sometimes one team has one more TT player than the other, but they might also have a 5/6 hanger whereas we don't. like I said, it seems to be matching the players with like players, but not everyone is in what we used to call "tiers" so, it's sort of a crapshoot determining what the battlefield looks like. the top two might be 10/12 to 12/12, the middle pack 6/9 to 9/10, and the bottom a level 27+ player that is anywhere from 5/5 to 6/8. I have stopped playing aggressively for now, and my damage is suffering a bit, but my 3 victories for the day were quick, and 2 of my dailies done... All in a total of 3 games today... I had to adapt the way I play... I look around a LOT more before I make a move, I don't try and take very many one on one, and I try to help a teammate whenever possible by either distracting the one that is after them or doubling up fire. Even weaker bots in numbers can hurt/kill a TT if they are smart and don't try and take them out by themselves. I guess I have moved more to a support role, even with my KFs. Also, beacons. Get them. Seems at every level there are those that refuse to care lol. Now, if we are winning and the team we are fighting is not going to win and, as a team, it is obvious we can keep them contained I will advocate leaving the beacons at 3:2 in order to get as much Ag as possible... but otherwise, I have only runners and cappers in my hanger for the now. I too was used to being top of my tier, 1st place every match with a non clubbing win rate that was always above 75%. Now, I am just endeavoring to get the most from my bots every match without suiciding them (unless it is needed for a pivotal moment) Sometimes you have to adapt and overcome the obstacles, rather than rail against them... so it seems. Anywho, just curious if anyone else on Android has noticed the smoother matches or if it is just me?

I friggin hate my internet it starts doing this crap about the same time every day Pro-Tech-Support here. Lag spikes in a generally timed pattern like that are usually due to some kind of network saturation. Although it could be your family eating up all of your bandwidth at home, it's far more likely that all the folks in your neighborhood that use the same ISP are eating up all of the neighborhood's bandwidth. Cable ISPs like Comcast (comcrap) and Time/Warner (time/waster) are well-known for this issue, and it doesn't matter what speed tier you are paying for.

I know it's not the family only have me and my man a total of 4 devices in the house and he wasn't home today. Got Comcast. Two cell phones one computer and a blue ray player that we watch Netflix on. Was doing it today and my cell phone was the only thing connected.

Been kinda busy the last few days and have only played about 40 more matches. Things do seem to have leveled off a bit. I am now playing mostly against bots equal to 6/6, 7/7, 8/8 and an occasional 9/9 heavy. Its still not the "fair fight" I would like but it is defiantly better than playing 12/12 bots. My finishing position has improved so that I am most commonly 3rd or 4th. I see 2nd somewhat regularly and every once in a while I actually top the damage board. Not exactly what I hoped for but it's better than it was and seems somewhat stable.
Oh BTW currently sitting on 48% win%.
