To all my teammates tonight who in multiple high bronze games stood around shooting at the enemy while our beacons were being taken and our life bar was dwindling fast while I died multiple times in solo charges on enemy lines...next time...
ADVANCE ON THE ENEMY POSITIONS AND TAKE THE BEACONS!!!!

How many times have I done that? Headed out from spawn at the gun. Captured the home beacon, another one along the way. Drop a 'bot. Find two others down about 20% and send them to their makers. Maybe drop a 4th, and maybe even a 5th, all on your first 'bot. Then, in a moment of rest while you figure out where to go next, you look up and see 4 red beacons and one blue. Thanks guys.

You underestimate the power of my Noricum/zenit combo!
*The sad thing I recently realised, is some of these players are aiming to do easy damage to farm silver.
It's kinda hard to imagine so many people being this bad on purpose...

Yeah, when inflicting damage is the best shot at winning gold and numerous games are won by whichever team has the player that doesn't belong in that tier, this is the result.

There is another problem, the game sorta teaches you that killing bots is the goal, or that was the idea I got from playing my first set of <level 5 games.
The lack of any meaningful tutorial was a problem too.

A lot of this could be solved with some basic communication during matches. Wishful thinking I know, not only would it end up like xboxlive but there would be a need for some hierarchy of moderators to police the chat. None the less I can't help but wish we could pull people aside and say, go for this beacon I'll kill the guy with the plasma, or your equipment simply does not work, or you are out of your tier consider visiting the forums for more information.

My clan uses Line for voice comms. It completely changes the experience for the better. |
