So I joined a "group" is that the same as a clan?
I did so in order to achieve the "Task'".
It is day one and so I am asking:
1: How do you speak to a group or a clan? I'm thinking Discord but is there a messenger built into the game?
I am a 25 rank, still only 3 Mechs in bay, working close to my 4th. (I have 6 Mechs) Running 2 Griffs and a Leo right now. All about level 6 with weapon 5-6.
I play om Amazon Fire Tablet.
2: Does this even approach the requirements for joining a clan?

Some clans may be a fit for you, but maybe grow your hangar a bit. Requesting clan membership is kind of like applying for a job. You have to have something to offer in the way you'll make the clan stronger.

There really is no set requirement, you just have to be a certain level and that's it. It's up to the clan leader as to what requirements they wanna set. Most of the times the clan requirements will be in the blurb thingy when you tap on the clan.

Try to slot your best stuff, and time your application when you're activity has been up and regular.

The biggest thing is that your at least close to the same league as most of the people in the clan you want to join. Second, if the clan is concerned about ranking is your activity level (cups). When my clan was top 100 we had a minimum of 500 cups a week to join and 300 to stay. You also had to be expert league or better since most of us are champion league. We would get requests from silver and gold players all the time back then but couldnt take them because they couldnt effectively squad with anyone in the clan.

And also worth remembering that you can leave if it doesn't work out or if they don't like you you will be out anyway.
just another point that wasn't mentioned amongst the good advise above is that in general clans generally have most of their members at a certain point in the league. This means if you develop faster than the clan you may outgrow the clan. Nothing wrong with leaving under those circumstances on good terms and seeking a better fit clan. You can always maintain the relationship with the old group via other methods like FB or discord. When clans mature some also make relations with other clans and you can take an advantage of that too.
