I searched and didn't see what I sought so, here goes. Mods are free to revise, delete, sticky, whatever fits this sub forum. Cliff notes in (parenthesis) cuz (reasons).
(how much time commitment is expected, min/max)
I am not sure if I play enough to warrant clan life so I want to ask first, is a part timer even welcome in the genre? I only play one other game, it too has a clan like feature, but it is very part time friendly in a sense because matches basically last 3 days and after about a year in that world, showing up once a week is probably the 'expectation', grinding every day is stellar of course but not showing up for a month puts you on the kick list. My time is super variable, I have RL, I have work go up and down, right now down so tons of time but as soon as that changes, play time will go way down. Please share on the topic of time commit.

I see its 1500 Au to form a clan so its possible I might never click that cuz (reasons). So twice now, I get an invite to join a squad and about three people show up. We go to fight anyways, run a few battles, win at a much higher rate than solo (clan guys better pilots than solo guys?) and then for whatever reason.. the leader bails.. then the others bail.. then I'm left alone in a squad of one. Well the first time this happened, I just clicked 'leave' and that was that. In review, if someone payed the 1500 and left, and I am the only one left, do I own it now? Is it like I paid the 1500 myself and now need to fill it up? This just happened again last night and in spite of posting some wins, getting all the gold and what looked like a great start, here I am and I have to admit I don't even know how to name this. Maybe I don't own it? Please share on clan leadership, how/what/why anything.
(unique names, fonts/symbols, where is a list so a duplicate name isn't attempted)
From a casual pedestrian view, it seems really obvious who is in a clan and who isn't. I see there is a moniker like handle abbreviated in brackets [CLAN] and also a more formal clan name elsewhere. Is this bracket handle automatically added to the user so it shows up right, or do you rename yourself manually? Also, when I click myself, I don't see a bunch of things I see when I lurk clan people and it looks like I'm not in anything. Like I said, I basically inherited one as said above, does the lack of buttons I expect confirm that this clan isn't mine? Please share on the topic of new clans, how do you name it, did you pay 1500 for it, is this why I don't see these buttons.
