I find it really annoying when you're in a good game and it's pretty even and there is still 3 minutes left on the time and the game ends winner or loser this really pees be off this is not right ruins a good game

I was in one game and I was the last one the last robot alive and there was still like three minutes left on the time and the other team was up one beacon and I was just about to change the beacon to our color and the game ended what was that about and the other team had like two robots left this happens way too much

gravediggers : Have you noticed those blue and red bar above the beacon letters ? It sounds like dominance bar was depleted completely from blue team before time runs out. War Robots Wiki - Beacons and see "Dominance bar" section. edit: changed word under to above

I think the blue and red bars are actually above the beacon letters but the link will surely help ;-) I blame Pixonic for not having a tutorial on the beacon bars. Seeing this is a predominately area domination game it seems kind of stupid. And a lot of people are obviously clueless about the importance of beacons and how it works.

The objectives are clearly stated at the beginning of every game but no one seems to care - at least in the games that I've been in.

Yes, true, but it seems a lot of players still are clueless about the beacon bars.

The objectives are clearly stated at the beginning of every game but no one seems to care - at least in the games that I've been in. 9 out of 10 players understand this as "most beacons in the end wins". Many players think they can sit back and try to kill enemy robots, and capture beacons later.

Maybe we should have a sticky on top of this forum like "Important info about beacons", lol, or perhaps I should just get over this and move on...

In Dead city, when the timer ran out, it was 2 blue bots (me and my teammate) vs 1 red bot. Both of us had 2 beacons with one beacon left uncapped (Blue side - Right. Dominance bar had a sliver of blue and red left. Of course, we don't see numbers so red could of had a higher value. We lost with the message "Enemy has Strategic Advantage". Still no clue how 1 bot vs 2 is a strategic advantage. Maybe it was time of possession of beacons or maybe their dominance bar numerical value was higher.

I think you get the strategic advantage message when the timer runs out before both bars hit 0. It's not determined by number of beacons or bots at that moment. If their bar was larger by a pixel, you lose.
I've been in games where we were up 4 bots to 1 and 3 beacons to 2 when the timer ran out, but still lost because of strategic advantage because they had controlled more beacons for longer, so their bar was larger.

Some games you can't tell till the end... I have won and lost those, and love the endings like that! It's a damn good game if you don't know the winner until the pop-up at the end!
