Title says all.
Note: Trident and RDB in my opinion is sort of getting less powerful as Dashes dash away. Ancile shields stop all splash.
Put reasons below. || || \||/

If you despise Shocktrain, Tempest Carnage is nice.

Shocktrain Bulg / haechi, Scourgasari, zeurs fury, temest fury are all awesome.
ST bulg is my pick. He can dodge rockets, and none of the plasma midrangers can even scratch him except tempest.

Damage-wise, the best is the Zeus Fury. In terms on influence on the outcome of the match, the best is the Tempest Fury because it's soooo good at suppressing enemies. Never tried Shocktrains so I can't compare.

Shocktrain Bulg / haechi, Scourgasari, zeurs fury, Tempest fury are all awesome. This, they all very effective at mid range. Shocktrain - effective against red in group Zeus Fury - Good dps against none physical shield bot Tempest - good against almost all type of target, easily break physical shield and energy shield with good dps. Only downside expose time longer than Zeus and Shocktrain. If no Gekko or Trebs in red, basically every red need to find cover.

I voted Gecko-Zeus Natty, because I have never played Zeus Fury.

Tempest Fury can also defend itself, it's a great build.

Tempest fury in my book but shock train is better it's just with a tempest fury you could still get a beacon ...RDB is good but depending on the meta

Shocktrain Haechi my dude Definitely Shocktrain Haechi. It's really the only mid range weapon to consider right now if you have them. If you don't have them, Zeus Fury is the best in my opinion. I don't have a Fury or a third Zeus so Zeus Carnage is what I run, and I'd say that is just behind the Zeus Fury. The Ancile shield is so strong versus Molots, Punishers, Tridents, Tulus and Pins.

Shocktrain Haechi my dude Shocktrain on Heachi or Bulg is my favorite. I like the speed of the Heachi but the durability of the Bulg. I've taken out many Zeus Fury as I can charge right at them with with a Bulg with the shield facing them.

Shocktrains are generally a little better on Bulgasari. Much better survivability on long maps while Haechi has somewhat higher damage dealing capability on short maps. Edit: As per the original question, from a champ league perspective, it’s tri-shocktrain > tempest fury > Zeus fury. No other mid range is worth running.

Shocktrain Bulgogi.
I run Molet T Tempest Molot Golem. Too expensive to keep up with 3x heavy weapons, first Trident, then Treb, now Zeus and Shocktrain. If someone else has Fury Tempest on my team, we will focus fire and pop the reds like unwanted pimples on the face of Yamantau. It's the best suppression weapon.

Tempest Fury can also defend itself, it's a great build. I think the Tempest will (should?) end up being nerfed. It is a bit too effective. That said, I consider it a long range weapon.

Tempest carnage and shocktrain anything beat most on this list.

I find it quite balanced as it still is easy to take out. I think the Trident Fury back in its day was a lot more frustrating to deal with. Those were the real death buttons.

Seeing lots of Trident Fury’s recently, not sure why exactly, probably to counter Shocktrain Bulg’s, but certainly seeing lots of them again.

Idk about best, and I know it's not on the list, but most fun? Rdb hover is quickly rising to the top of my list. This thing gives you such a different perspective of the battlefield. Plus tulus and pins kind of force you to stay out of the 350m range. Nothing more satisfying then getting a kill kiting someone while you're actually flying backwards. You are literally the kite! Yeah they might be great for target practice, but this thing is making me take back all the bad stuff I previously said about it.

Shocktrain aside, I'd go with Zeus Carnage. That's what I ran before I acquired my Fury, but I switched back to the Carnage platform because the mobility and energy shield is superior in Domination, especially against Champion players. Zeus Furies don't tend to travel much outside of their spawn, especially in the beginning of a match. You have much more control over range positioning, and as long as you don't run out into the open w/ a drained shield, have protection against RDBs, Trebuchet and Nashorn users, and other kinetic weapons to some extent.

I am having lots of fun with Zarnage. If things get complicated, you Rush and remain alive AND also the ancile helps you against those jealous punisher / molot / RDB griffins

in the upper meta, Bulgasari Shocktrain is the bot to beat for mid range. Those things at max mkii are just hangar wreckers.

Carny Zeus for me. I don't like slow bots in the mid range game. I don't own a Fury so I suspect that has something to do with it.
