I had just about enough. Sure I want to earn gold just like everyone else, but at what cost? I don't find it fair to earn more gold than someone else who did more damage, captured more beacons or had more kills. It doesn't happen a lot but enough to get me feeling bad for the one(s) who truly deserve it. Okies, I'm done ranting. Your thoughts/opinions?

Why? You pretty much said it all. Sometimes a person feels guilty if they're a lower, or even the bottom point scorer, have the same number of beacons as one or two higher scoring players, yet you're awarded the Au bonus. Go figure why that happens. I feel bad about it sometimes, but then sometimes karma catches up, and I'm a top three scorer, but somebody with a lower score, but the same number of beacons wins the Au.

If Medal of Capture is awarded randomly (some debate about this), then in effect it is being split evenly between all those tied for most beacons. You just have to average it out over many games, but then that's exactly how gold accumulates - over many games. The only way someone is getting screwed is if they are 5 Au away from buying some überbot and have to wait a little longer due to luck of the odds.
People's understanding of probabilities is so poor in geberal, I bet we could have a vicious debate in Off Topic about the Monty Hall Problem with lots of good name-calling!

In all honesty I don't concern myself with where I am in the post lineup, truly. However having noticed me being on bottom and gaining my precious gold forced my rage. Interesting calming words in your replies. Hmmm... *begin entertaining explanation* I'm in it for the team. Period. *end entertaining explanation* As I see War Robots, it's team-vs-team. Period. Best team reaps good rewards with a few spending $s... To gain the same faster. Yeah I have goals and you have goals and we all need to make PROGRESS and etc but in thinking of oneself always, one might loose a teammate who could have helped in the future. For crying out loud, we've all got the SAME TEN MINUTES and loads can be done by more than one! If I could take screenshots I'd have good stories of TEAMWORK to tell you! (I had the pleasure of battling next to good folks who pay attention. Others, well, robot droppings at best? *shrug* As for medals I can't remember how many I'm holding. Maybe over a thousand? Two thousand? *shrug* 1 Au, 8 Au, it all adds up. Main point I was originally posting about was directed towards actually playing the game and not intended to bring up data and stats of all data required for calculating final results. However your points indicate my bringing the topic up with a semi-neutral swing caused all the replies. Fascinating. I'll confer with Drone's programming to understand this better. Which brings us back to Do. Er, I'm not trying to sing "Doe a dear". I meant brings us back to my original post and I guess somehow involves programming. I also know it involves some of the previously emphasized words I used : teamwork and progress as well as the mentioned same ten minutes. I think I may have even mentioned something about "playing the game" and not just "duh" playing. I'm not sure. *shrug and ends rant* (Still see some anger in this post? Yeah but just some.)

The bottom line is that a win is a win and if you play your best, you've contributed no matter how many caps, kills, or damage accrued. So if you get the gold, just accept it. Many times I'll have low damage and kills but tons of beacons. Other times, I'll have high damage and no beacons. When playing solo, I go where I think I'm needed and hope to bring home some gold. Also keep in mind that sometimes damage relates to the level of your weapons. Many times I'm lower on the damage scale because I have level 10 and 11 weapons and I'm teamed up with level 12 MK2 team mates.

If I understand it correctly, Medal of Capture is awarded for "greatest contribution to the team's Domination score," i.e the amount taken from the enemies' domination bar due to beacons each player captures. By that measure, a beacon captured 5 sec in and held for the entire match is worth more than one captured in the final minute, or capped an immediately liberated. Hence a player with only one capture may get the 5 Au bonus instead of a player who spent the match Beacon-Swapping with 15 caps credited.

No, it always goes to a player on the winning team with the most beacon captures by quantity. If there is a tie, one player gets it, but it never goes a player with fewer captures than another player on the winning team.

If I have beacons in my tasks I'll try and take one or two but 80% of the time I'm chasing after a beacon about to be captured by the enemy. Occasionally I get killed after recapturing the beacon and head that way again to reclaim it. Is that swapping? I prefer to be on the flanks to watch for roaming enemies. I'm always watching my allied forces to make sure they aren't being bombarded too bad but I do try to avoid taking their kills unless the situation is critical. Is this action considered in the distribution of the Valor medals? Somehow it seems like I've gained better comrades in arms for battles seem more organized and involved, win or lose. Maybe this thread inspired people? NEways good chat going on. Thanks all.
