I'm on iOS and I'm trying to develop a balanced silver group.
I'll have three medium robots, all about level 3 (at the moment). Weapons are all with various regular, gold and wsp light and medium weapons - no heavy, and eventually all be lvl7 weapons.
Right now one is a Rogatka and the other two Pattons, but I'm close to replacing one of the Pattons with a Fujin.
My question is I've thrown a Stalker in there as a fourth bot, but it seemed very underpowered at lvl 3 and lvl 7 weapons. That's when I found the wiki.
So I'm upgrading the light stalker to lvl6 and the two weapons to 9.
If I'm reading the scale correctly that should get me close to where the medium bots are on the scale.
Am I reading it right? Is there a different way to go?
Thanks in advance.

Based on a 6/9 Stalker, you can make your mediums higher. The rule of thumb is one level less(both bot and and wep), although some say WSP bots are weighted heavier. I'm not a tier guy, someone else can answer your question more accurately.

So I could run the Stalker at 5/8 and have the mediums 4/7?
That would be fine. Then I could start working on a medium/heavy group. Ideally I'd like to have three groups at different levels for different gameplay.

Do you want to have separate groups based on size, or tiers (levels)? Since you're no where near high gold, I think you'd want a couple of beacon cappers in whatever line up you run. 6/9 heavies should keep you out of gold, at least it used to... Again, I don't want to steer you wrong, some guys love to stay in silver and they can fill you in on the current state of matchmaker.

Currently, I'm loving the level/tier I'm in. I don't know if it's low silver, high silver, whatever. I'm running all medium AG level 4 robots and all of their weapons are level 7. Two with a single Thunder and a single Taran. One with 2 Mags and a single Thunder. One with 4 Mags. One with a single Thunder, a single Orkan, and a single Pinata. To sum that up: 6 Mags, 2 Tarans, 4 Thunders, an Orkan, and a Pinata. I rarely (Maybe 1 out of 10-15 matches) will see a Rhino. I have a level 6 robot hangar, but I'm liking where I am right now.

Ideally I'd like to have three groups at different levels for different gameplay. Right now the MatchMaker penalizes your entire hangar (i.e. Adds a percentage factor to your hangar score) if you add any WSP bots, regardless of how the individual WSP bot is leveled. I dropped my stalker from my low silver hangar completely because it jacked up my hangar score too high for the rest of the bots, and I was put into matches that were totally out of my league.. I only ran Au and Ag bots in silver tier because my only WSP bot was the stalker. If I had other WSP mediums, I probably would have kept the stalker. Anyhow, that's how it is right now. Pixonic constantly changes the MM so no telling how it could change in the future.

Strangely, it feels like I get penalized more for having a boa with a heavy Zeus in that group. But I read that about wsp bots - doesn't seem right with all the tri-mag Gepards running around.
I have that stalker at lvl 5 now. Would taking the weapons to 8 from 7 throw things off too much? Think I'll get all the other bots to 4 first and weapons to all 7 before I move those. Thanks for the advice!

Gepard is Au WSP weapons do not affect MM, as far as anyone knows Yep, Gepard is gold. Five lvl1 Gepards all with lvl 8 mags is even more gold and lots of wsp - and I see that all the time. When I see a Gepard with three mags - and not in Yamouto (sp?), I leave the battle. They can seal club without me. Your mileage may vary.

Gepard is Au WSP weapons do not affect MM, as far as anyone knows Strange..... I must be the exception to this...I'm level 22, I run a single bot hanger.. currently running a lvl 3 destrier w/ 2x lvl 2 mags and I'm fighting heavy bots all the time..but I have not fought on the yama map. If I switch out to 2x lvl 6 gau, I'm back to lights and meds.

If I remember correctly, heavy bots can get into high bronze with low enough weapon levels and low enough winrates.

Col. BlackJack,
Just curious, why do you run a single bot hanger? By lvl 22 most pilots have opened three and are working for the fourth.

So certainly possible that on an otherwise noob bot like a destrier lvl 2, that would other put you against rookies, having any "premium" items would bump you out of rookie matches.
