Shocktrains are instant killers that requires a LOS - more and more people will get them eventually (event prizes, etc). Embers ignore all types of shields, also requires a LOS and leading shots. Inquisitors have this strange habit of being stealth somehow associated with their being in the air and after a touchdown. And the recent MM changes did make the matches balanced more often.

In all, I think this video (no sound, sorry) represent how a typical battle in a small map look like these days. Dead city, Beacon Rush:
I started with a Taran Rog. It scored a couple hits here and there whenever a red expose itself for a split second, while staying away from Orkan ranges ... until everyone get into their positions.
Soon, the battlefield become somewhat silent. Blue and red split beacons 2 by 2, center un-capped yet. Every coner and cover around the center had a Haechi or something with Shocktrains, etc. hiding there.
There are a couple occassions of disturbance in one of the side or home beacons, but soon they became silent too. After all, all other beacons except for the center are too exposed to do anything, when both blue and red had Shocktrains, etc. Exposing yourself = getting hit. And that applies to Shocktrain holders as well - they may be great killers but they don't have the ability to push towards a beacon. Ancilots were immobilized as well, because of Embers.
It's more like everyone camping, sorry, not just Shocktrains. The center beacon remained white until 4 minutes and 20 seconds since the opening of the battle.
Finally, a blue Ember Inquisitor descended upon the center beacon. It capped it and excuse itself relatively unscathed.
Red tried to recap it, but failed until a couple minutes later when TWO Ember Inquisitors simultaneously jumped into it. I was looking at them on my Doc and killed one of them (the already almost dead one) and another red, but not before they turned it red. I basically exchanged my Doc here with two dying reds (was on the kill task).
Afterward, camping resumed. Red had a Tarancilot and blue had a Ember Carnage, they immobilized each other, the first exposing itself would be killed.
And then there was a blue Shocktrain holder (Bulgasari?), camping. It cannot advance to the center, it's not their specialty. But they deligently killed dying reds one after another (... my kill tasks ...).
Eventually, I, a cheap DB Griff, jumped, not to kill a red but to break the stalement. While jumping, I poured Orkans on top of the Ancile of the red Tarancilot. Blue Shocktrainer and Orkan Haechi took the hint and acted togehter. Red Ancilot killed immediately.
That brought a 5 to 2 advantage on remaining bots. Now finally the blue could cap the center. Before, it would be impossilble without an Inquisitor.
...
I guess this type of battle would be more and more common. Even in small maps, one will have to wait a lot, as if it were a Yamantau. Inqs and Exoes will be valuable breaking the stalements, although I still think the association of stealth and jump ridiculous and unfounded.
Conclusion? I don't know. I still kind of enjoyed this one particular battle, although my damage / kills / beacons were all average.
