I am really wanting to like the new robot Hover. I just feel like he falls between an awkward spot between Rog and Griffen. Accept he doesn't have the speed to be a beacon rusher like rog and lacks the fire power of Griffin. While Glide is a different ability than jump and may arguably be more useful it definitely isn't worth 10 movement speed for beacon rushing or a 2nd light hard point in fire power. All this would be fine if it was a bot purchased from Ag. But it is being sold with the ranks of the new dash bots and doesn't feel premium at all. I think they should lower its health and add an Ancile shield to provide a different type of game play experience from Rog and Griffen and not having it feel like it fell short between the other two bots.

Notice that the Component cost for Hover is not the same as Dash and the Inquisitor... it is significantly cheaper per component... and is, in my mind, NOT a premium bot.

Nope, not a premium bot. Just the most BALANCED new bot they've released.

It is just meh to me. The hover ability does nothing for me. I think I am better off sticking in my Rog.

I beg to differ. Give it a chance. Its easily the fastest bot when gliding. Its got better footspeed, hp and a longer and higher jump than the griffin, Its got more glidespeed, hp, and firepower than the rogatka. Think of it as a good solid mech with added benefits. It will take a bit to learn, specially if youre used to piloting the rog or griff. If you play it like either of those, the experience will suck. But if you learn to play it for its own strengths, you will be surprised. Its also as close to a silver/wsp bot as one can get. Its not OP, but has the potential to affect the meta.

Basics of the Hover:
1. Stay on the ground as much as you can until the conditions are ripe for your ability. These include but not limited to: - No snipers - or known snipers have just fired - or you are sure no snipers are looking in your direction. - You have a tall building that can shield you during that initial jump. - You want to attack from above - best to do from the side or behind as well if possible. - You want to get to a super high place (Shenzhen roof or those tall buildings on Dead City)

I guess my issue with it is, everytime I have seen it in action I have been less than impressed, now I guess it could be a few reasons 1)under levelled 2)bad decision making by the pilot
I know I will win enough components at some point to finish it off so I guess I will have to level it up and throw either taran or orks on it and see what happens. I have enough storms but don't know if 2 are powerful enough.
