You folks are absolutely right. After the Trident Fury came the Ancilot. I'll make sure to upgrade my memories to a higher level. Lol...
Also gotta mention, I've paid for stuff. I had premium for about a year and occassionally bought Au or keys to pile up gear. I wanted at least one of each bots and enough weapons for full variety. This resulted in ridiculous upgrade costs and neverending upgrades.
When the new MM was announced, my highest leveled item was an Ancile at level 9. Since then it has been level 9 for me. My inventory is a little bit like test server inventory. Just at level 9 instead of 8. I could have easily maxxed stuff. I went for quantity instead.
Orkans for example, I have 10 of them at level 9, another 2 Orkans ready for upgrades. 6 Tarans, 6 Thunders, 10 Anciles (6 leveled), 9 Tempests (5 leveled), 7 Scourges, 3 Bulgs (2x bronze chest before components, 1x event prize), 3 Shocks, ....everything pretty much. The only items that are currently missing are Butch, Inquisitor and Ember.
Due to all of my gear being level 9, the league placement is pretty much below the whale zone. I permanently swap out stuff and have a good time fighting the reds in high diamond/low expert. I often run my old vintage favorites like Thunder/Punisher Vityaz. I could prabably easily make it into champions league if I only ran my premium gear. A full Dash/Storm/Orkan face-wrecking hangar comes in handy for kill tasks, though.
So in level 9 I've found my sweet spot to hang around. Never getting lazy with upgrades has finally paid off for me. I just recently cracked 4k wins. It was actually precisely my 4000th win that gave me the Bulg from the event. Being that long firmly bound to level 9 and having that much leveled gear to choose from makes my perspective maybe slightly lopsided.
I'm that collector kinda guy, I guess. Fun is more important to me than maxxed gear and prestige from high league placement. I've worked hard for placing my budd so comfortably. War Robots has not bored or frustrated me yet.
Just wanted to add this huge pile of personal 2 cents to my earlier post
