So seeing as these 2 new bots were just suggested on the test server earlier today, i want to know your opinions on what will happen when they get released. Here is the log for this week: imgur.com/a/UVSNMLet's briefly discuss each of the new features first. King of the hill - Seems like a fun gamemode. I'm happy with it, but allowing a beacon to activate at a certain team's spawn is NOT fair. Hopefully they fix that up Redeemer - Still think it is too powerful. Remember, as the level goes up to 12, it will be stronger than it appeared on the TS Vortex - Its fine. Just don't buff it to 3x as strong as an aphid. Gust - Perfectly balanced weapon. I will love using my gust stalker and trolling people with it Strider - Ok things are getting really weird here. 5 dashes!? Really!? At least it only has a heavy and 2 lights, so it is a dashing vityaz. Exorcist - This is where things go completely out of hand. 4 MEDIUMS!?!??! JUST THAT ALONE MAKES THIS THING WAY TOO POWERFUL TO EXIST AT ALL. Remember how the Doc is a great bot now? Well the Doc can go to hell because this thing is a light bot with 4 mediums and a descend ability. THIS IS NOT WHAT I MEANT WHEN I SAID WE NEED LIGHT BOT BUFFS! So i will leave a poll here. What will you do when these new items get released?

Need an option for the 6pack/custom leagues.
I think that may be my new reason to keep playing - now just need to sit down and figure that out. Never used Line or Discord, or really even squadded before. Weekend project!

If the 6 pack league becomes too popular, I guarantee Pixonic will shut down custom matches.
Funny though, because it offers gameplay that the new stuff they are releasing can't touch.

These new bots are crazy. What has pix/Mail.ru been smoking???
If these bots appear a lot in Gold/Diamond then I quit. No reason staying in a game that's gone to the dogs. If these bots are only in expert +, then I'm fine because I can stay in gold/diamond and be safe from PART of the insanity.
If they leave the vortex as it is (unlikely remembering what they did for the kbots) then I'm fine with it. It's inaccurate, and when it does hit it doesn't do too much. Aphex griffins aren't going to be more than a spydra griffin IMHO if vortex stays the same.
Redeemer is fine, as the time in between shots is significantly higher than tarans. Since dashes are obviously going to be common in the future, you can dash away from a redeemer shot in between shots.
Gust is fine. Nothing more to say. Perfect for bots like stalker who are made for the get-up-in-your-face-and-annoy-the-hell-out-of-you kind of build.
King of the Hill seems to be fine, the only problem is that it goes into the team spawn which they need to fix. Other than that, it's pretty interesting.
TDM is fine, lets say you are on a kill mission, you can do TDM and save your ads for chests/upgrades.
If they couple everything into a random button then I'm quitting. It's just too much difference between KotH, TDM and BR. Unless they give everyone 1 or 2 free hangar decks, no use in staying as worrying so much about just the game mode you are going to get is pointless.

Tough call. I have a maxed meta hangar which I paid a good sum of money for. I can afford to keep up with meta changes every few months but tbh this is getting to the point where I can’t justify it. So I’ll probably quit.

Keep playing if you enjoy, stop playing when you don't.
I've had real issues with the Shocktrain draining my desire to play, and I think these new robot will exacerbate my problems with the game. We'll see.

This. I said the same thing about the dashes. I won't quit when they're released. I will quit when I'm not able to have enough fun in the game to justify the time I am putting into it. I have already slowed down recently. The dashes have taken some of the fun out of the game (things got better recently when the leagues were tightened). I expect these new bots will too. But I don't need to quit early if I am having fun right now.

But I don't need to quit early if I am having fun right now. Leagues have been tightened up a lot on iOS. I haven't run into a Champion for days now. We really need the ability to upgrade more than 1 bot/weapon at a time, at least give us a up-on-deck option so we don't have to watch the game like a hawk. If you want a full hanger of these, that's 4x5 = 20 medium weapons you have to upgrade! That's not even counting the multiple hangers now. Plus MK2 so it's like upgrading them twice to L12, and plus the 5 new bots you need to get leveled up. I'm still waiting for them to break the Orkan and Taran, because those weapons are too cheap by today's standards.

I will quit not because of the new OP bots/weapons, but because the controls are junk (when I hit the target it doesn't get effected. When I glide my Hover refuses to climb, etc.) So yeah.... My issue is technical (not related to Pixonic's strategy) and good bye Pixonic

It's a game. I play for the enjoyment. Dash bots were introduced, I play my game. More challenging? Sure. But it's still fun, and part of the challenge is dealing with the new adversity.
I could whine about it or go out and try to beat these things. Old bots might be outmatched but they aren't unarmed. Many an army has won against all odds.
Those moments when you defeat a superior for are what it's all about.

Not too fussed, eventually they'll come down the leagues, but not for a while. The only annoyance is that it's components, yet again. This means the BM will get even more saturated with random component wins. I don't know what the win percentage is to spin a components win, but with more bots and weapons added, getting the components you want just keeps getting harder.

Whenever I pick up the game I run into a new wave of frustration. Now that I see more Shocktrains around (seems enough players used the Royale or already completed the event), the game resorts to "zap, you're dead". I found myself ejecting from 4 games in a row a couple of days ago, being alternatively fried by Shocktrains or Inquisitors with Embers. Without any chance of defense.
My event progression is at 60%. Well, 60% for the second task, the Natasha, working on part 4 now. Somehow I must have played enough to win 15 games for the Magnum. Mind you, I used to play this much in a single day, on a bad day.
And now, a Robot that can carry 4 Shocktrains? Pixo, go to hell.

This kinda reminds of me of the good ol days of lan parties and playing AVP 2 . The DLC allowed your alien to spawn into a queen which was pretty much tyrannosaurus killing everybody. All the other players actually got a kick out of that so went nutz making aliens into a Queen to see how long they could survive or enjoying the glory of killing this thing eventually . They had more fun then the person playing the queen alien .
To heck with being fair and rank . This makes life very interesting and lots of FUN as far as i am concerned . Nothing in this world is equal , war or competition. Sure perhaps you get crushed in one game by an exorcist ? But the next game that player is on your team . A big superbot running that needs multiple bots to focus fire on it to bring it down is awesome for me . I would love a game mode like that . Could bring down the prices of heachi assuming dash bots are obsoleted .
This is sad thing about paying money to freemium games . You will lose interested faster because you paid money . There is no point in spending money if your super bot gets replaced every 6 months with something better although once again this like reality and "robot technology advancement" . Great RP perspective .

Nothing in this world is equal , war or competition. But the whole point of competition in general is to see who is more skilled and develop your own skills. It isn't to see who has more cash. Both sides in Chess have equal pieces when they begin, who wins is decided by skill, not who makes more money. Every runner in the Olympics has the same distance they need to cover in any given race, who wins is decided by skill, not which country is richer. The reason I can see myself leaving this game is because there is no skill development here.

With the recent turn of the game into P2W in Champion Tier, as an old-school player, Un-Fun level of the game has risen to the point of now it is an occasional distraction to play in between RL. From a daily addiction trying to find more time to play - to now daily tasks do not generate the desire to complete. The addiction came from the competitive level of the battles, competition is now dictated by the equipment you have. I recently had my highest damage battle @ 1.44 Million - it felt hollow as the number of those battles are so rare. My hangar is old school, nothing newer than Lance / Fury and Orkans / Zeus.
For me Dash x Mk2 x Shocktrain = cancer on the game. Its OP Its No-Skill Its No-Fun

Welcome to real life .
Guess what bro everything is about cash and who has more of it . Lotsa cash is a factor in determining weather or not you made a success of your life . That guy who wins Olympic gold for running , gets fame , glory and a mega fat purse to spend on that cool new WAR ROBOT .
Rich people can afford bigger guns. Your skills are not paying Pix,s rent . Pix made this game for the sole purpose of a tidy profit , not to worship skill or give trophies . A useless gamer with a fat bank account that cries about you being better , will be attended to ASAP.
I do agree this game is way to overrated for the amount of dogs droppings the Corporation shoves down our throats and yes the best answer is give em the finger play for free or find a better game . I myself play for free and give my moonie to a better game .

I don't think it will be all that long and I will have to quit. Game used to play awesomely on my Samsung tab. Every major update has steadily eroded game play quality. It has also decreased the fun for me.

So I’ll probably quit. I hope, upon reflection, people see value in monies or time invested in getting a top hanger together (meant with sensirity). However, it is rather obvious we are part of an aggressive monetisation strategy where such investments are hard to justify.

There is no point in spending money if your super bot gets replaced every 6 months with something better although once again this like reality and "robot technology advancement" . Great RP perspective . Yep, playing an alien was fun. That thing could climb walls, so it was pretty disorientating to control it. And the pounce attack was cool. Some of the ideas for my spider bot come from this game. The night vision (pred had infrared too), the climbing, fast movement, and pounce. Not many marines knew that their hand held detectors with the infamous beeping dots only detect motion, so an Alien could hide and not show up on their monitor. Made it easy to get really close to them, as Aliens only had melee weapons (their claws or fangs). Plus you start climbing air ducts, and hang off the side of cliffs waiting for them below patiently. Not many expected that. Each race was OP in its own way. The asymmetry made it fun. If you ran an alien into a bunch of marines, they could see it a mile away. Plus they liked to run in large groups to increase their survival odds, so it wasn't easy being an Alien. But I'd always pick off a straggler and they wouldn't notice someone in their group went missing. One of the things holding this game back is the need for balance. We're getting these robots that follow a paper-rock-scissor model so you know if you're holding paper, you're gonna beat the rock. To me, that isn't fun when you already know who is going to win the fight. That's not skill. I actually like the blurring of the lines, and the bots becoming more and more OP. When you don't know which bot to pick as a direct counter to kill another bot, but you still can pick an OP bot, then it becomes a question of which of the more OP bots will win. To me, that's more interesting. The only way we are going to reach something as OP as the Predator (stealth, shoulder cannon, claws, 3 vision modes, jump, speed, net) is if there are more OP bots released. If you look at the ridiculous amount of things that that race could do, it's ridiculous how much firepower, speed, and abilities are put into 1 race. Right now, we can't have any cool toys because the majority wants to artificially clamp down the power level. Now, I don't expect them to copy AvP2 as fun it was. And there's still a boring way they can proceed to make more OP content, so I'm not suggesting that either. Here's my thread on the OP spider bot that's based on mother nature (ok, mostly as spiders don't have 8 guns mounted on each leg, but do we really need more uninspired designs that look like a B52 bomber on steroids?). Plus, I can see I forgot some special abilities (like the net that shoots out to immobilize prey). war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/17863/spider-bot
