Also Stalker would be nice.

You're a terrible person. In response to OP, my motivation is the last three prizes of the first event. I won't be giving much of a crap during the second chain, since the storm is relatively cheap and easy to get, and the Hover is such a terrible bot. Well probably just try for another Orkan and stop on that one. Of course I'm a terrible person, I'm pondskum not Ghandi  It's okay, I beacon swap in my Orkan Haechi, so if anyone disobeys they die |

So most of the input here from people hate grinding and I agree.
The event tasks should be fun and stress free to do, not make people lose interest and hate the chores you call tasks.
I noticed that Pixonic is just repeating the events, chain tasks with just slightly changing one or two chain task rewards.
Also the chain tasks get harder as you move up, it's like pixonic did this on purpose so they don't lose money for people who get the end prizes (bulgasari, 2 shocktrains).

Zip, it's too soon after the last event, too long, too tedious, and can't even be bothered to tank to make it easier. The prizes are crap, until the 10th, how about a change, gold, WSP, components, instead of...Orkan, Magnum, X unusable bot with Y skin. Just the same as the last events. Same tasks 12 with poxy subtasks. Bugusari / Hover, meh. Even the end prize is pretty lame. Christmas is a time of giving, Pix read that as doing the same ?poo-poo?, for similarly ?poo-poo? prizes. Totally agree. Also have to add that I haven't seen tanking to this extent before. It becomes laughable after a while. I think it would actually be better not to have any leagues at all for the event and just let the wonky MM do it's thing. |

I have to say that I agree with the pilots who are doing this to get items I would otherwise have to pay RM for. I am a committed F2P and the roadblocks that Pix puts in place are IMHO not worth overcoming for what is waiting for you on the other side.
Now I love the game so I play it a lot anyway, prizes or no, so going through the grind is just motivation to get free stuff.
Bulgasari - very cool bot and one I want and will use. I prefer the Haechi as I am sure most of you do.
Shock Trains - Absolutely and will max them to lvl 12 NO MK2! BUT I want these in my hangar not armed (Sure I will have some fun with them from time to time.) I want them for when it all goes to poop and EVERYONE is sporting these as if it makes them a better pilot OR the battels dictate them as the onlt road to survival and victory.
I do want the Hover. I agree it's a novelty bot but it looks like a fun toy and I do like its capping ability. It will have its niche place.
But TOTALLY agree that Pix needs to mix it up the prizes along the way are truly boring crap save for a few always choice weapons. Orkan's and Aphid, maybe the Ancile.
Has anyone else noticed that finding games is taking longer? Wondering what level of participation the community is at these days. This event is clearly not getting the traction of past events and for an X-Mas event it is pretty unimpressive.
Oh well...guess this is life under Mail.RU in the world of War Robots.

I'm not grinding, prizes don't matter for me this time. I have more than half of components for Bulgasari already, so i'm getting it this way. Also, hover, too (have ~7000 comp for it).
I'm not a fan of shocktrains also, damage is not whats behind my choice of weapons, it doesn't seem that i could fit it with my style of play, so it would be useless for me now.
What kills my motivation to grind the xmas tasks even more? Tankers. And the thing they seem not to understand, that if everyone tanks, it's not working, so their strategy of grinding works against them. They all drop to lower leagues and kill the game for newer players.
On the other hand, without so much tanks in Expert + leagues, i my have chance to get something good out of this event without tanking after all, have had some really good matches last days without those parasites.

Since I restarted those weapons could be of use. But I'm not going very far. Currently I'm at Natasha lol.

whatever you do, don't think about the total numbers, just one match at a time, or just need to cut this task by this much, and you'll stay motivated.

I'm in it for pretty much everything I can get. I've transitioned from iOS to FB GR so I need to build up my arsenal. Got the Green Griff (dunno why they couldn't just give you the paint job, now I have to level it up a bit). Aiming for the two WINtrains, but there's no way I'd make it to the Bulg. I have a life you know. |

emerald Griffin and desert storm stalker . I have not touched a griff since I was below level 20 so is kinda brand new to me again . Am thinking of making it a main hanger bot for next year .
I do have a stalker with that paint job , but heck it's a stalker , best dirty little beacon thieving squirrel in the land .

While the Shocktrains and the Bulg were initially my motivation, my new motivation is killing beacon swappers :) I don't think I'll grind it out for the second portion of the event to get the Hover. I'm just not excited about it. I figure I can buy it for $50 versus spending more time grinding. My Orkan Kumiho eagerly awaits you, as well as Scourge Hover :-D |

The only prize I want is the Bulgi and I'd rather have the Kumi or a Haechi so I'm not gonna grind for it. I never thought I'd get here (though I was warned on the forum) but I need silver more than anything so I'm basically doing the extra playing for the silver... The task ag rewards are a bit silly though - win 9 battles for 125k when I can can make 4x that in a single battle.
The other benefit of the extra play is the au and the free bronze spins - these in particular. |

I said I would grind the xmas tasks for bulgasari, in 3 days I made it to Ancile 1/5 task and I'm starting to get lazy because the win tasks are so mundane and annoying. I have a rule, when I drop in my hover, see either a cossack/stalker enemy bot I will cease fire to do beacon swap and if they don't get the message I will kill them. Funny thing is that, the only enemy reds who get the message to do beacon swap are tankers  . The cap and kill tasks are a breeze to skim through, but winning is the most dreadful task. So what's your motivation to grind these chores? I find the capping hardest and i think that if i play well i will get some of the good rewards |

My motivation is Silver + free upgrades (every three games I watch three ads).
As for prizes - I really don't need any. I am sad, sad that they won't give me Rhino as I still got none :( And same skin for Carnage... really, Pix?

Ahh good ol times, Merry Christmas Russel . Dont worry , My Raijin is not going anywhere. I am replacing a Carnage not Raijin . I will always have at least one Raijin in my main hanger but I do have have 4 other slots .
I dont see a power difference between carnage and griffin but its probably more fun than say 2 thunder carnage ?
The event offered a Paintjob Griffin something i dont have and I am taking advantage and gonna play with that . If it gets me into expert faster so i can brag I am Expert with a Raijin in my hanger ........ XD .
Perhaps it will remind me why I dont like Griffs and I will relegate it to my fun bots hanger . I enjoy hp and the ground so poptarting and ambush tricks should keep me scratching my head and swearing for hours .
I have no interest in Hover or killing myself grinding for Hover . If i was mad enough to spend cash on anything , I would buy Butch XD. Sad fact is there are better games with better value in game purchases that deserve my 2 cents more as far as i am concerned .
I am spending WSP on Haechi crumbs , maybe i get Heachi in a year , maybe i wont ? Wont lose sleep over either outcome .

I'm up to the green Griffin. Not all that hot to get it as I have a bunch of Griffins already. Right now I am in the process of upgrading what I won, so if I get anything more, all the better. But getting top prizes isn't in the cards. I have a life outside of War Robots. Still have to decorate the Christmas tree. And I get that dang wrist pain thing playing too long.  |
