Please please devs add chat were playing a team based game with no way of communication running around like headless chickens. This is probably the only team based game with no chat....to the guys like phoenix and others who post funny game moments on youtube thanks to you all you had me in tears with laughter your videos are great and even though I'm at work just make me look forward to when I get online and kick metal butts

If in game chat was added as a feature it would actually undermine Pix, especially during events.
Imagine if you could say "can someone beacon swap with me?" during a match.
Maybe that's why it cost so much to change your name too Otherwise players would be renaming themselves to "only need 2 more beacons" and the like.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it as it would increase the social aspect of the game significantly. You could say hi to the regulars, instead of just the in-clan or in-squad chat which is pretty clunky.

Great idea, but...
1) Pix/RU are really struggling to provide the production environments to cope with the squad txt message and basic game bandwidth, never mind Voice Over IP.
3) This is a very emotional game, the language would be enough to make a rap star blush like a girl.
3) I get by in a few languages, but would not understand a word of what is being said.

A lot of the folks I game with use Discord. It's free, there are profanity filters that can be put in place, it's lightweight and very service
able.

amd if Discord pulls too much data if your running it on the same device as War Robots then you might consider LINE app as a way to communicate with your squad/clan.

We won't be adding any new features to the game in the future because again, there are no pixonic devs here. |

I think a better idea would be a sort of quick respond menu with basic buttons as seen in Overwatch like "Help" "Defend" "Attack" "Fall back" "Hello" etc, because technically speaking, having your keyboard pop up during a match would obscure everything on-screen for phones, maybe not as much on tablets, but i dunno, plus, i bet if we HAD full control to say whatever we wanted with a chat we'd just have a 「fluffernutter」TON of lennys and self centered elitist saying "Ew, he isn't using premium weps, what a skrub".

OK I will give an Example probably a bad one but one neither the less whilst in match you say hi to all and try to discuss a tactic (are both sides able to see chat and if not how would you separate it (How would you get an extra screen on for the chat bearing in mind that this is a mobile game) OK you worked out how to do so and your in game and one of your team mates is being a total *** and is doing nothing to help. Are you at the time, going to be totally calm and collected and just ask them to help or lets say this in real life at the time in the middle of a 10 minute match you going to call them all the names under the sun. Basically I am trying to say no matter how you do chat all you are going to get is players calling each other names because they are not playing how you think they should. I do not think this would be a very good Idea maybe a general chat outside matches might work but you will still get the name calling but after the matches. Still not sure if it would work. just my opinion. |

No messaging/chat/voice at all please. I usually turn it off (if possible) on other games and use TS with friends. Have known people to actually tape over the chat window in some games due to all the crap that comes through. No one understands GG anymore anyway.

Not sure how I feel about this going forward, but it appears some of this discussion may come to fruition: warrobots.net/en/posts/188...We keep looking into how we can keep promoting teamwork and togetherness across all levels of play. Don’t worry if you prefer to be a lone wolf though — there’s plenty of features that might benefit you as well. In-game communications — looking at you. We also consider adding clan tournaments, in-clan trading and some other things for already established team warriors to have fun with. |

You'll see fluffy bunnies hopping around and firetrucks driving by. Watch out for stepping in the poo-poo though. It can be treacherous at times. ** Mods, don't get me wrong. I find it refreshing not having to wade through the profanity one sometimes encounters on these forums. Pixonic could take a page out of your rulebook. |

what about a system similar to some other apps whereby you can select from a predetermined list of 'shouts' in game.
It could be as basic or advanced as you like.
You could even toggle it on or off like auto aim.
Basic layout like four buttons on the left with 'Beacon!' Hold, advance or whatever.
This would address the risk of profanity and allow basic communication. I completely agree with the OP

I think chat is a really bad idea. When I am in a game I am concentrating on strategy and do not want to bother with pop up chatting...while You guys are chatting im going to be shooting.
