Curious what's the best Ember build you've run or the deadliest you've had to face.
Also, can anyone point me to a list of tactics for using the Ember? I just got ONE through the gambling game and I've been trying to learn it. (Thinking about keeping it at LVL 8 so it's not as OP, but my noble aspiration may fade once I realize its power.)
*Note: I lumped a couple of bots together because they're similar (fury/carnage platform). Also, not everyone has a Fury of Inquisitor that they can use, so the Lance and Carnage are alternatives. However, I do understand their not exactly alike. Your opinion is appreciated.

Ember is the one thing I do want currently! Curious to see the feedback here. Mine's only at LVL 1 (lol) but when I run it with my tarancilot I usually notice fear and second-thoughts on engaging from the enemy team. I'm a lowly 8.5 hanger going against Mk2-max dash hangers in Expert, but even they stop and consider when they see the glorious ember flame! You'll love playing with it once you get it.

When an inquisitor with maxed ember jumps in they can do some serious damage to whatever I am running before I can start returning meaningful fire.
But since I am still 20-50k WSPs away from an inquisitor I will try the lance out once I can level an ember and carnage if I ever get a second

So I don't own an Ember yet, but I can tell you what I've run into and what I believe (right now) is the most deadly Ember build for a one on one standpoint.
I've had the most trouble with an Ember Carnage. It has speed damage capability and the Ancile. Plus I've never seen bots melted as fast as that double Ember Carnage with both Embers going through all shields.
I believe that an Ember/Taran is a deadly combo, but not the deadliest against a red team. You can still go through Anciles, but your Tarans are stopped by physical shields.
If the Ember doesn't actually hurt physical shields, which I don't think they do, then the most deadliest Ember combo against a red team should be an Ember/Shocktrain Inquisitor as you can get two good Shocks in before the target can even respond to you (while continuously doing Ember damage). While you're on the ground you also have the ability to Shock indiscriminately... when anyone approaches Ember them and/or jump to safety.

For having only 1 ember:
- Ember Taran Inquisitor is best - Ember Orkan Inquisitor can be good, but the range difference makes it a little more tricky to pilot - Ember Lance in both configurations are a similar piloting experience to running a weapon on Lance other than Ancile. - Ember Magnum Leo is great fun
Pilot Inquisitor like a DB Griff
Pilot Ember Lance as you would any non-Ancile load-out on Lance
Pilot Ember Magnum Leo more carefully than many pilot the Leo. Just charging ahead like you're invincible, doesn't work out so well. Staying near cover where you can withdraw a bit when needed is ideal.

Dont overestimate one ember mine is only lvl 7 but it dose the dmg it have on paper ....in a 1vs1 costum situation without lag and a not moving target in battle fear factor is more worth than the dmg (at the lvl my ember have) you will have to lear aim it as i do atm
Ember aim doesnt fit with tarans vs a moving target one weapon will miss

If the Ember doesn't actually hurt physical shields, which I don't think they do [/p] It does. That's why it's deadly if coupled with Tarans: the Ember melts the bot AND the shield, and then the Tarans can finish the job.

I ran into an Ember Raijin that was pretty heavy. Maybe the best loadout for a Raijin.

Ember aim doesnt fit with tarans vs a moving target one weapon will miss This. Ember and Tarans match up from a range standpoint, but I find I tend to focus on aiming one weapon or the other, and so you miss with the other. When I use ember, I use it on a carnage as a pair. But carnage is already squishy, and ember carnage gets a lot of attention. You need to find cover to shoot overtop from, or hit and move. Exposing yourself for the full 10s burn will result in losing your ember Carnage/Fury.
