Can anyone else replicate this bug on iOS (or any other system)?
Twice this morning, I watched a commercial video to complete a task: "40 Au - Area Domination: Liberate 2 hostile beacons with a light robot in a single battle"
Clicking Add Progress bar and watching a video resulted in 1 of 2 tasks being completed. However, I assume b/c watching 1 video only completes 1 of 2 tasks in a single battle, completion of task is never achieved so there is no benefit to watching a video for such tasks.
Anyone else experiencing a similar problem with that or other single match completion tasks?

If you watch two vids back to back it kills it, Thanks for testing it. What you say would suggest that it is a bug or flaw in the design in the commercial reward system b/c no notice is given that watching 1 video does not complete a single match task and watching videos in other contexts completes more than just 1 of a thing. For example, watching a video for kills or beacon caps will get you multiples of either (3, I believe) -- roughly analogous to what you might expect to achieve in a middling game.

I don't think this is a bug so much as a incorrect assumption about the difficulty of capping beacons on Pixonics part. Nothing in the system is actually broken, it just doesn't reward you as much as it probably should.

Nothing in the system is actually broken, it just doesn't reward you as much as it probably should. It doesn't reward you at all. Watching 1 video does not clear the task. No notice is given that you need to watch 2 videos, so if you do not have 2 videos available you just burn the commercial. That is either a bug or it is a design flaw in the user interface.

I guess this happens only for tasks that must be completed within one battle. Sounds like a bug to me.

This happened to me also, once I got a mission to kill 3 robots with a medium robot in a single battle, and when I watched an ad it only completed one out of 3. I don't consider this as a bug, just normal because if you could complete a mission like that in one ad I'm sure it would infuriate the players who swear to no ads.

I have this on Android and posted the topic today,I was trying to complete a gold task and it needed three kills to complete, would watch a video and it would drop to two,did another battle and went back and it was back to three. Also getting it now on the reduce twenty minutes on upgrade time,it was on one hour, watched the video clicked the button and it’s still on one hour.Have messages Pix and got the automated reply they will get back to me so let’s see

Ah OK, sorry I think I misunderstood the problem initially. Watching one ad will take out one of the beacons, but if you go participate in a battle and don't cap any beacons, your progress is reset. That seems like intended action (no technical bug), but I agree it's definitely a design flaw on Pixonic's part because it's not explained.

I consider this a bug, at the very least poor design. Those ‘complete in a single battle’ tasks have always updated with the last battle stats and they didn’t modify that behavior when implementing ads. Ad progress should act as a ratchet and keep the count from going under the number of ads applied.
I’ve also seen weird behavior with the ‘liberate 13 beacons’ task. I swear I applied an ad to make it 5/13, played a battle and it was then 2/13. Now I’m watching it very carefully. Apply an ad for 7/13. Ok, it added 5, that’s normal. Play a battle, no liberations, and it’s stilll at 7/13 (maybe I miss remembered that initial 5/13), but when I apply an ad this time it only goes to 8/13. The next battle and ad finally completed the task.

On one hand I agree that it could be better explained, on the other it's not that difficult to find out on your own. It reads 'Add progress', not 'Complete a task' and it does exactly that. It may add different amount to 'Do 3 of this' than 'Do 40 of that' (and there a better explanation is certainly possible) but that is hardly a bug. And to those one battle tasks. There is never a task that require more than 3 of something to be done in a single battle and you can store up to three adds. So, it all adds up in the end.

The ads fill your tasks by ratios, about 20% of a task I guess, the numbers get rounded for the benefit of the player. That's what I think.

On many occasions watching videos to reduce upgrade time has done nothing. I think it's a UI failure to display the "PLAY BATTLES: 1" message instead of the blue "play video" button when you have reached your quota of video shortcuts. I notice that when this starts happening, if I quit the game and go back into it, the button changes to "PLAY BATTLES: 1".

next time just stack 3 ads, then watch them to complete task in single battle.
Its the same if you go into battle, and you only manage to complete partial of it, it will reset on next battle.
Its not a bug

Happened to me, too. For tasks that require things to be done in one battle, to be safe, just ensure that you have enough ads to watch. Don't know if it's a bug but that's quite irrelevant now.

If it says you can watch a video to reduce upgrade time by 20 minutes, and you watch the video, and it doesn't reduce the upgrade time, that's a bug, plain and simple. ;-)
