I recently sniped one of these out of the air on yama which was being piloted by a japanese dude who had it fitted out with the punisher setup. I'm not sure what he hoped to achieve on yama but his time playing with the hover bot was short lived while he was trying to land on the covered walkway top. I enjoyed watching that piece of junk fall out of the sky after lazering it. I see no point in the hover at all. It seems absolutely worthless with its weapon setup. If it had 4 light points and a physical shield it would be a very interesting sniper or kinetic weapon setup. As it stands now hover is a joke bot and I hope more people run this so I can blow it out of the sky with ease. Btw has anyone tried a RDB setup of two tulumbas and a pin on this thing? I guess you could theoretically play it like an ambush bot rdb. I tried the RDB setup on the test server but I just don't think it did enough damage. Personally, I liked the Shocktrain paired with a Gekko the best. |

So whoever's curious of what I won in the superchest, I ended up with the new flying robo, well I'm not saying it sucks but it seems weak/weird and I'm gunna try and see how the ability works. I like this robots color, it's nice to look at though. Though damn this is kind of disappointing because the XMAS event has the hover bot in the reward task chain :V. Edit: God damn keyboard spelling mistakes.  How did you get a superchest after only 7 days!! I spent half of the month grinding to 1000 keys. He used the new add feature that allows a spin after each battle. The Hover bot is Pix's give away Bot. Not OP, a toy and fun to play with as a gimmick that does NOT upset the game balance and may restore a tiny bit of faith in the game. A brand new bot that they are giving away in the X-Mas event should tell you everything you need to know. Right now it is a surprise Bot, pilots are not used to seeing it or looking for it. BUT as soon as this period is over it is going to be the 4th of July on these Bots as they are going to make very nice fireworks. Treb snipers are going to wait for a hover to cap beacons and simply take them out as SOP. There will be some great pilots that make this Bot work but it is going to take work and practice. That being said as many point out if you forget the Hover ability it is not a half bad Bot and can be effective. Happy Hunting. |

Played multiple rounds with my Hover last night with Level 11 Plasma and Splash set-ups in Master League. It owns on some maps such as Valley and Power Plant. Reds take their pot shots at me and get some hits but I've managed to pull off a pretty good kill ratio with Hover now at 250-350M range play including several finishes in just the Hover to the end. Some Reds are like bugs with the light and focus their attention on me which I don't mind as my team eventually finishes them off in their own distraction if I don't get them myself. Tulu's with an Aphid is a nice set-up for Dead City, Valley, Power Plant, etc. Allows you to get within 350 behind cover, jump back and nail them while staying out of range. Be aware of the Zeus however. Sure you can run the Pin, but my Pins are level 11 and my Aphid 12 so I prefer it.
On Canyon and Springfield I fly initially to grab the far left or right beacon with the ability but then remain mostly grounded and only use the feature as a defensive move. I like to pair up on the ground with a shielded bot and use the right side for corner shooting when possible. On Yamantau you can make it all the way to the beginning of the ramp up to the center beacon on your 1st jump from spawn if you feather the gas right. A good Kumiho will beat you to it, but I smoke Rogatka to it when Kumiho is absent.
I read a lot of comments about how "I love blowing them out of the sky with my Trebs" blah blah blah..sure..sounds so much fun and how skillfull to mash a red button from 600+. Hey, your style, not mine and the Hover is finally a FUN option to play that is within reach of many players.

During the test server I recall having much fun with them. But in many games I hardly use the special ability at all, using them as a straight up Orkan platform. I use the glide ability sparingly, mostly at low heights so I can land quickly, either to move quickly from one spot to another, or to poptart over cover. There are times I would fly very high to the max so I could shoot down, since at the angles presented at that height, isn't available using a conventional jump.
Overall, new content needs to come with its vices and weaknesses. That's what balances them.

I'd love to see a hover with tarans in one of my games. I run 3 knife fighters, 1 mid range kinetic support, 1 LR. Hardly makes me a camper. |

Not sure about that. The health of the Hover is quite high compared to many bots. At Level 8, the Hover has more health than a Level 10 Rogatka/Haechi/Kumiho and at Level 9, the Hover has more health than a level 10 Griffin. The mobility of the bot is quite nice with 50 kph speed. Too bad you are on IoS. I'd like to test your theory.

I use hoverbots in the city map to get on top of sky scrappers. Or quick jump attacks using rockets or missiles. If your a new player DO not use them it takes practice to learn as for the reward boxes soo far I got a gi patron lv 5 I have two lv 6s already if your very very lucky you may get 400+ keys I recommend using them on silver boxes you have a far better chance of getting a good bot than on bronze. I being stupid wasted 400 keys on 40 spins on bronze belive me I nearly cried I got nothing good

Don’t compare that bot with grif..grif is only silver bot which can keep up against dash..even rog sometimes can’t keep up..to sell grif for silver was worst mistake for pix or atleast that’s what they must be thinking atm..I won’t say grif is best bot but it can go 1 vs 1 against ANY bots..hover can ? Nope..although I maybe wrong coz I don’t own a hover |

I don't like the hover (attention seeker bot) at all due to its play style and it's the first bot I drop in to capture beacons fast. I'm trying to build a mobility hanger consisting of medium bots only and so far I have Fujin, Doc, Hover and Natasha for the time being (soon to be replaced by Carnage). When I get the Bulgasari, I will have to re-arrange my 1st and 2nd hangers around. EDIT: The reason I rather have Gareth over Hover is because it has a physical shield and it can push its way to beacons, given the enemy doesn't splash you with rockets. |

Alright so I have grinded away happily in the event, using all ads on chests. An hour ago I had filled the super chest bar and let my kid take it for a spin.  Definitely not the best prize but as I love my current Orkan rog I don't mind another. Saves me the gold as I had considered a second with tarans for hunting carnages and haechis |

LOL. I just won a Fury from the superchest, and I don't camp. Immediately got an offer for 3 Trebs, but I already have 3 lvl 11 bug zappers to slap on it.

Great prize! My brother won 2 shocktrains from the event and put them on his hover.
It was a blast to pilot. Given he was in silver league but on valley i shot up to the top and got top damage wreaking havoc on reds below.
I'm only 1.5k away from my own hover and 2 tasks away from my second wintrain. I mean shocktrain.

Mainly the events as sometimes in events they give extra keys for games like on Halloween if memory serves. Every game you get a free Bronze chest so that helps add to the Superchest bar alot faster. I'm 80% of the way towards my second Superchest and we have 12 days to go. I was rarely lucky in the first Superchest in that I only once I think won 400 keys. Every other prize from a Bronze or Silver I did was very few keys. |

If you enjoy playing the game for fun then you will fill the super chest bar progress without realizing it. Win or lose, move onto the next match and game is great for killing stress after work.
I love playing with my Taran Fujin, Aphid Jesse, Orkan Bulgasari and shock train hover.
My favorite is the aphid Jesse setup, it's the first bot to spawn in, so mobile and deadly.
My aphids are only lv5 but they still pack a punch in a griffin's face while they try to pursue me.

Only time I ever got a SC was just luck I spun a gold chest and twice got 1000 keys so 2 more golds and as many other silvers as keys I won and ended up with a scourge from the SC. It's gathering dust with the Gareth in the Hanger somewhere. |

While I'm working on getting 2nd Tempest, I hit superchest and wallaa I got 9.6K tempest component.
It just a matter of time before I get 3rd tempest to play with.
