I just left a match where the sides were so lopsided that it was over in mere seconds. All the red team characters had shields and big weapons where the blue team was a small bunch of weaker bots. Maybe there should be multiple levels of the game so that gargantua cannot fight against non-gargantua.

For the last 3 days I've been in games that last no longer than 4mins. The whole team meching out in no time at all and it always seems to be my side getting the wrong end of the stick. I hate these dash bots and the shocktrain? whats that all about? that weapon should be scrapped and that big ugly griffin hybrid needs to go too. what a ugly bot and proves this game is getting stupid.

My take?(spittballing obviously, but with basis). We are all pretty aware of the lengths Pixonic will go through to beat a buck off a customer. A lot of the changes they have been making, (forgive me if I miss anything) nerfing backpedalling, increasing damage relative to health, introducing the kbots, mk 2 and now shocktrains all serve to shorten games on average. The reason? The more games completed within a certain span off time, the more planned behavioral change makes an impact on the bottom line. If pixo can make the average player reach for the wallet sooner by say 5 minutes per 100 games, he can fit more spend cycles in a given period. It may sound diabolical but then, I've learned the hard way about putting anything past Pixo. Nobody hires a dev team on based on high ethical standards.

I can't agree MORE!! I am getting REALLY pissed at the fact that the team I am on ALWAYS seems to be massively lopsided lately!! I am no noob, I have been playing for a long time and was always in the top 4 spots predominantly, now I can't even get into the top 5 mostly. 「whiskey tango foxtrot」 is so hard to understand the concept of teamwork?!! It's capture the flag after all!! I guess if you don't spend your entire paycheck on updating robots and weapons, you don't have a chance! I used to love playing this......now it sucks! Oh yea, and why can't I get into a clan? This is a serious question, I keep getting denied, however, my stats are usually better than some of the existing clan members? That one baffles me!

So the game is stupid, because players are bad at playing? Did I understand the argument correctly?

Yes, this game is stupid. I created a new account to see how the low level bots compete today... I was Level 13 and running low level bots when matched against these bots... a Butch with trebuchets and Fujin with taran. My bots: And the big guys from the Red team that kick our 「multiple dookie delivery chute」:

This sucks. Old War Robots (when i didnt play) was evidently a whole lot easier: so much gold crap: gold bots, gold weapons, lots of gold, gold. I can also guess that the prices were much lower then. Present War Robots (when i am playing) is a terrible kind of tyranny: disgustingly high prices for in-game currency purchases and real currency purchases, so many players with 10x more power than my strongest bot in their weakest bot, crappy predetermined "chance system" in Black Market and War Robots Royale, and deals that are expensive because they have what you need paired up with something so pointless and unnecessary. These knuckleheads better fix this, because this crap makes the game no fun for newcomers at all.

Besides, what is the point of attempting to obtain 10,000 components if they give 5 or 10?

It seems to go in cycles, though I'll be damned trying to figure out how or why. I came back to playing after about a month off, had some fun mixing up my old hangar, even rejoined my old clan. Not playing anywhere near as much as before, mostly to try to keep the frustration level down. Wins and losses have been pretty even, so upward league movement is pretty slow, which is just fine with me. Then all of a sudden yesterday somebody flipped 'the switch', and every game was crap. It wasn't even MM, just one team after another of idiot players playing BR with hangars full of long-rangers and missile-lobbers who wouldn't know a beacon from a pencil sharpener. Every. Damn. Game. The only one I won had two clan tankers on the reds dancing around all game with ECU Cossacks and Stalkers. I mech'd out futily capping beacons that the reds would change right behind me, but the end was pretty much a foregone conclusion about a minute in. Zero fun in that.

Played about 20 games last night and won 3...that's right...3! I was top 2 on my team in damage pretty much every game, but there is no hope of a win when your team is made up of one or two level 30 players and then the other four are level 7 - 24 and the reds are all high levels and are often times a clan squadding together. Why can't Pix setup MM so that the bots are all of a similar level or at least put in players that are of similar levels? Low levels typically have little to no impact on the game which is frustrating for them and for their higher level mates. I really want (NEED) some of the prizes being offered in these events but I can't even get through the first half of the Magnum!
I am one very frustrated player who loves the MechWarrior type games but now seriously considering quitting. Going to give it another go tonight so hoping for a better result.

haha, well yes, the game is a mess. An absolute mess. One has to adapt and play with clan mates. Also, low level players that are reading this...CAMPING MAKES A TEAM LOSE. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY SELFISH PLEASE PLAY CANDY CRUSH

When I started playing over a year ago, War Robots was a well-balanced game. Yes, there were the heavy-spenders that were running all maxed lancelot hangers, but they were separated from the less powerful players by a hanger based matchmaker. A player with patience and a moderate game budget(say $20/month) could, within about a year field a relatively competitive hanger. A number of light and medium robots remained viable into the higher tiers because they could outrun/dodge a lot of damage from missiles, which were far less powerful at the time as well. Skill could make up for a lack of spending to some extent. A hanger-based matchmaker meant that you weren't as likely to get your butt handed to you by sheer overwhelming force. Then Mail.ru took over and balance went out the window. As we see now, the matchmaker is designed to make the heavy spenders feel like they are getting their money's worth by trotting out droves of underpowered opponents for them to roll over. Missiles got huge buffs, making light and medium robots virtually unplayable in all but lower tiers, and to add insult to injury, they "fixed" the ability of these robots to outrun/dodge these weapons. Soon after which of course, we get 300 dollar robots that CAN do these things, plus they have the health and firepower of heavy bots. These super-powered robots broke the rock/paper/scissors model upon which game balance depended... essentially turning the game into a pay-to-win proposition. You can't even buy these bots, you have to buy components to "build" them... one of the most shameless cash-grabs I've ever seen. Finally, in a move that makes Pix look even more like the greedy cash hogs they are, they added advertising monetization as well. So.... stupid? Well, yeah.... at least from a gamers perspective. From the perspective of the CEO who is at this very moment rolling around naked in your money? Not so much.

As a sharewhare author, I may be a tad biased, but to me saying you refuse to pay a dime for something you use regularly and enjoy is not exactly a badge of honor... I'd say it's somewhat more douchebaggish than leaving your trash on your table at McDonalds when you leave. As for your second statement... it's a bit like saying, "If you don't like getting butt-「grape」 by Chester, find someone else who will do it more to your liking." Just saying.

I used to spend twenty bucks or so a month before the 3.1 update. Haven't purchased anything since. The Influence system was bad enough, although most players that actually took advantage of it w/ fake emails and such benefited the most. The component system is even worse. I won't support this loot-box nonsense either, much less the Battle Royale pop-up. I can't imagine having to deal with any of these features if I was a new player. I'm not even going to get started on the Shocktrain debacle. Something that was completely abhorred in Test yet still made its way to the Live server simply because Pixonic does not care what its consumer base thinks. Much like Ajit Pai.
