So today after coming home from work, I looked at this forum and remembered it stated that it wasn't an official forum. I thought to myself "What is the sole purpose for this forum existing, does Pixonic actually read it and take it seriously?
My question is does Pixonic even consider this forum as an important place to gather and communicate with their player base to exchange opinions and ideas to improve and make the game better?
It seems they vaguely respond on Facebook a lot despite the negative things people say to them because it's a stable "form of communications" bridge to communicate with the player base, since it's a social platform and the method they used to bring people onto Facebook is by linking their Facebook account in-game to get 50 gold for free.
I've played many games, visited many gaming forums, most of them have the developers interacting with the community and it was super exciting to see a developer is saying something and the conversations between the developers and the player base was engaging/thrilling to read. However, this is the first time ever I've seen a forum without a single Developers post or say, it's been as though they ignore this forum on purpose and hence why they get flak in return.
Okay, I know this thread is pointless as my mind was wondering curiously about this forum. I know Pixonic has a bad relationship with the player base because they overstepped the boundaries of greediness and pushed through to the end of the line to keep the game alive and revenues going which they have evidently succeeded in doing.
If this forum is not relevant to the developers I will delete/deactivate this forum account and continue playing War Robots as usual then. Their posts on Facebook don't seem convincing enough to me, like they're putting in half effort to even try to take it serious.
Finally I got this off my chest!

It is but therapy to us poor pilots who are feeling the pain of an unloving master; a place where we can share our grief and anguish - disappearing Haechi component offers, mismatched MM, inflated whale-toys, etc. But mostly, it is a moment or two of sweet refuge from having 3 dashes ripping your team with the red-bouncing-laser-death-thingy...

Hey ho... Forums aren't there solely to communicate with the like of Pix... they are there to share ideas , have a laugh about a common interest etc etc

What a strange post. I guess that the forum is so irrelevant that Pixonic contacted me to give out 100 free hangar decks to this forums because we are irrelevant.
Where does he think I got those freebies from? Santa?

Exactly! Ungrateful cur. Worse still, this is the chap that came on asking for forum advice, and the proceeded to argue with the folks giving him the advice. I guess we can just chalk it up to immaturity. He's gone anyway folks. Move along, nothing to see here.

Where does he think I got those freebies from? Santa? I believe OP's point was that Pixionic could utilize this forum much for effectively. Emailing and asking you to create post a giving away 100 decks doesn't really require any effort. It also wasn't done because Pixonic cares. It was done for marketing/promotion of a new feature. It's the least expensive advertising ever. Having an official rep spend time on the forum, developing a relationship where the players feel they are heard, and providing clear information in a timely manner would go a long way, IMO. As it is now, players feel they are heard but ignored. On the other side of the coin, Pixonic has damaged their relationship with the players so much it might be smarter for them to avoid contact with the community as much as possible. I would suspect the abuse they would receive from certain parts of the community may be contagious.

Actually, I suspect that may be part of the reason they avoid creating a proper official community portal. They previously DID have their own forum but it was not moderated and so toxic that eventually more folks were using the wiki forum (the original incarnation of this current forum) more to the extent that Pix contacted us and asked us to be insiders and even linked the forum in game at one point. Sadly that brought many toxic individuals here. They have never had a great direct rapport with community, I suspect language plays a part in that as well. Most contact has usually been via youtubers like Adrian, FB, Reddit, this forum and a few other things like MechSpectrum. I will be honest and say I’m quite proud of the fact that this forum has been stable and consistent enough to get recognition from Pix ame the community as being trustworthy enough in general. We have our share of controversies, but we weather them pretty well all things considered and usually people treat each other with respect and when they don’t, the community and mods and done a decent job in keeping the peace. we are definitely nowhere near as toxic as FB and less cancerous than the old official forum was. And we actually seem to have been able to help a decent number of folks get good or at least have a better understanding of the game. Otherwise many (myself included) would have quit this game due to its terrible instructions, suggestions and lack of explanations of how the game works and what is effective.

Otherwise many (myself included) would have quit this game due to its terrible instructions, suggestions and lack of explanations of how the game works and what is effective. I think some of what you wrote and some of what I wrote interact with each other. The poor management you described on their forum displays itself in other areas touched by Pixonic. I find it difficult to believe there is no one fluent in both Russian and English that Pixonic could employ to represent themself properly to the English speaking portion of the community, which I would guess is the largest percentage by far. While I tend to understand language can be a barrier, most of Pixonic's communications appear extremely unprofessional. I'm sure you're proud that you've done the work Pixonic was unable and/or unwilling to perform to build a stable community. But should fans have to build a stable community for the developer? Some players will never be happy. Most players will be satisfied if they feel they are being heard and treated fairly. Pixonic themselves greatly contribute to the toxicity from my point of view by hearing us but not listening. They build it by treated us unfairly. They build it by being disorganized. Then when they have an opportunity to build good will, like a deck giveaway, they allow the wiki forum to do it instead. I'm grateful for the work you did to make this happen. Thank you. You took time from your life to help everyone. Pixonic on the other hand found an entity that is more liked than them that they don't have to compensate to work for them. If Pixonic actually stopped and realized all the headaches we tolerate to play this game they might be amazed. If they actually addressed the known issues it would repair a lot of the toxicity. For better or worse, we live in a "What have you done for me lately" world. Maybe you'd like to compile a short of list of positive and negative actions Pixonic has taken recently? Many of the more toxic members of the community enjoy the game or at least they did at one time. The game is awesome. It could be better, but it's not horrible by any means. The game is so awesome in fact, it is able to somewhat overcome all of Pixonic's shortcomings which is a feat worth mentioning.

Mr. Kimball and Mr. Ngyuen were two birds of a feather in their posting styles. My more worser thread was inspired by this one, where the two of them had a lot of direct back and forth banter. Possibly real life friends?

What is your relationship with Pix exactly and why dont they kiss up to the admin instead ? The main admin is Strayed. However, he’s not playing the game now and helping here out of duty and loyalty. and technically I am an admin as well, but I choose to wear purple instead of orange since that’s where the most help was needed. It just happened that I was the most “high profile” of the team on other platforms so they approached me. Since then I’ve tried to build a relationship with their PR person. Guess I have the most patience? Golden Sabre was so upset at one point he chewed the Pix rep out. Lol

You took time from your life to help everyone. Pixonic on the other hand found an entity that is more liked than them that they don't have to compensate to work for them. To be fair, Picnic did give away 2,500 hangar decks through their Facebook page. Excellent thoughts though, I agree with the majority of the sentiments expressed.
