I think I spent enough to buy 3 of the latest consoles plus monthly premium. I Have not spent anything apart from gifts to clan mates over the last couple of months and I will not renew premium this month either.
It has gone mental and even I realise that I cannot keep throwing money away at a virtual game irrespective of fun I get (not that much these days) at the end I have very little to show for the money I spent. Before anyone says anything, my money, my choice.

$0.00 and playing since December 2016. Saved up gold through events and battles and bought many gold bots and items. Also got 3750 as a welcome back bonus for being inactive for 3 months and unlocked my 5th slot. I got my Galahad for 500 gold during the anniversary event. Silver chest, got it on the 5th spin  I have no problem with saving silver as I have 400m right now. A few of my clanmates have over 500m silver. My au is low because I've been speeding upgrades trying to catch up to my clanmates after being inactive for a while. |

TLDR: maybe 100 dollars over the course of 3 years. I've been playing for a few years years, and before October last year, I spent an average of 5-10 dollars a month to support the game and grab some gold. Since October of last year, the game has taken successive steps towards being pay to win, the last and most brutal of which was when they released the dash bots a little bit ago. They are expensive and crazy unbalanced. The worst of it though, is the new MKII thing that lets you reset a level 12 item back to lvl 1 but with a 20% stat bonus. Players who don't have the money to pay for the silver to upgrade their hangars to MKII have a very very long grind ahead of them to even their odds of winning. Generally-speaking, the upgrade system is the most insidious feature of the game because the math works out such that the higher a player's robots are leveled, the less likely skill is to be the primary factor in determining the outcome of a battle. Don't play this game. It's too late for most of us. We're already addicted to robots and this abusive relationship we're in with Pixonic, but it's not too late for you. Run. Run far far away. In my dreams, I tried to run several times, but all I have is a crippled smoking natasha with 25 hitpoints left, and once I start "running", Pix releases its hounds which are 10 stalkers on steroids..... Everything happens in a weird Springfield, the sky is devil red, I wake up screaming.... XD Bahahahaha! |

Playing around 1 year. In first week then game looked very fun and competitive I donated 5 euro. No more till now. At first days of play I got 5 Geopards and collected quite nice amount of gold to be able to get Lance and couple Gekkos and Orkans. Thinking about monthly VIP, but still hesitating  And, probably, after Korean bots entered game I will not spent any euro, because now small amounts not playing any difference - you need to shell 300+ euro or nothing Im on the "nothing" side |

I started about a year ago, just before the last year's Christmas event. I spent ~$200 mostly on buying chips and golds for gambling on the first two events, which gave me a Rog (loved it), three Galahad (used one, stored one, and sold one), two Jesses (upgraded one and used none), and a Butch (never touched), plus so many Aphids (upgraded two, none currently in the main hanger) and a Zeus (upgraded and on the bench). I also made a lot of mistakes like rush-upgrading something unimportant while other upgrade going on, buying three Gekkos before the fifth slot, etc.
after the first two events, I bought the premium twice ($20). with the premium became available through Battle Royale, etc., I don't think I am going to spend any money in the future.
I had a second account where I tried an optimal hangar growth path without spending any real money. it reached diamond1, but I stopped playing it to concentrate my silver earning to one account,

60 € of keys when its was the black market and it was more than worth it.
It was when the dash was available only via black market.
I was always openning the 100 chest and i get 2 haechi 1 raijin and one stalker and a lot of silver.
i know im a lucky one.

I've been playing since April this year and have spent maybe $250 altogether. Mostly for premium, some gold, some chests. Not sure if this makes me a whale in the forum slang  I have a reasonable hangar for Android Expert/Master from that, with some Gold bots and 6 Orkans and a ton of other stuff. Still no Dash bot but 8500 Haechi components, so it's going to happen soon. I regret some of that money but not all of it. I have a family and a well-paying job so I'd rather spend $20 here and there than grinding for days, simply because I don't have the time for that. Given the time I play the game that should be well under $1/hour, which is perfectly reasonable for me. And since the MM update I'm thoroughly enjoying the game again. But let's just say I enjoyed spending the money a lot more before Pixonic blackmailed players into spending and introduced the $300 bot .. |
