I am mainly in bottom Silver for ratings. Can anyone tell me how upgrading bots and getting placed in battles with tough opponents works? Does upgrading weapons or bots automatically cause you to see higher level bots? Right now I have all level 6 bots. I am just getting their weapons upgraded to level 6. If I upgrade individual bots to higher levels (above 6), will that cause me to see higher level bots more frequently? If I upgrade bot weapons above level 6, will that cause me to see high level bots? I really have no interest in seeing high level matches or advancing up to gold, diamond, etc. I just like the competition and blowing stuff up ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) But I am not real crazy about facing whole random teams of high level bots. I am talking about bots that take 2-3 shots and poof...you are dead. I've only faced them a few times. Not fun. Dep

You're gonna be facing high level players no matter what, so just keep upgrading your stuff in a balanced way. The matchmaking in this game is FUBAR'd. I'd recommend doing a lot of reading and research into good builds here. RDB's are an excellent build that will last you a long long time. If you're playing light and medium bots, NEVER go head to head with ANYONE, even if they look easy. Try to buddy up with a blue, shoot at corners (with rockets), shoot AROUND corners when possible, hug the walls of cover like they're your long lost friend, and most important of all, have fun.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I play all heavies.

Even if you're playing heavies, avoid going head to head with anyone. And for goodness sake, do NOT go chasing after light bots. People who tend to play light bots in today's damage centric world tend to be VERY skilled with them.

There is a trick many are using of getting you to chase them and suddenly you are being smashed by multiple bots. I've grown VERY cautious since having that happen to me a few times. Hard to stay back with a sniping bot and not pursue someone that you hurt bad. I have a Trebuchet mounted on a Leo that really kicks butt at long range. I also have a Gekko mounted on it, and combined, they do a lot of damage. I figured out the weapon setups for close-in battle and long range battles. I like to experiment and discover setups on my own.

STOP WHERE YOU ARE!!!
I also have an all 6 hangar, and trust me on this one, War Robots is far more balanced overall at the silver level. Get much higher and everything is a db, and the Cash bots are rampant. In silver you see one now and then, but the landscape isn't cluttered up with them.
Take it from a 2 year player with a Champion hangar...I have more fun in silver. Even left my clan cuz TT play has become tiresome and demoralizing. Spend all that time getting to the top of the heap, and suddenly a fresh load of poo gets dumped on you.
Stay in silver, man. Don't say nobody told you.

Advice worth considering unless you are hell bent on reaching top tier play. if you are than be prepared to do what ever it takes to get the premium stuff or the future looks bleak.
Edit: if circumstance change you can always climb fast. you can also consider upgrading stuff but not using them. Mainly orks and tarans. The premium stuff is OP. one well equipped Haechi as an example could wipe out an entire team in silver. that's how good they are. Well not just silver even much higher up.

Stay in a League, I mean, without having to make a conscious effort? Even if you maintain build status quo and keep damage level constant, you'll still win--and hence progress. Or do you eventually hit some sort of equilibrium when the MM tries to get your win rate 50%, and you therefore become "neutrally buoyant" (for lack of a better phrase). I run a low-level account for fun but once I get to 5/5 I have to delete and start over since I'm going up against more robust builds.

You will tend to oscillate. Ive got 7/7 mediums and oscillate between silver 1 and gold 2.
