I have finally gotten my hanger up to where I can compete and not just get hammered 75% of the time. I have given them some $$( less than hundred) over my 3 months of playing, just a lot of grinding ( broken leg with a lot of time)
Generally I run a couple Griffin level 6 and 7. One punishes level 8. the other rdb level 7. Lancelot level 6 level 8 thunder with level 7 Orkin on the sides. Leo thunder pinata 9/8/7. Just switched to a rog taran 3/8/10. I know some of those are a bit unbalanced made a few mistakes early on when upgrading, live and learn.
I still have leveling up I want to do to balance them out better, but I have gotten to a place off enjoyment I this game.

Welcome and get well. Heavy Panda said it best. Dont be afraid to make mistakes. Some of the most fun moments come out of those. Lots of experience here in these boards just dont be afraid to ask.

So after that I got bumped up a league. Lower diamond. Started playing people with 10/10 hangars ave started getting beat up again. Now that I have played a day in this league I have found for the most part I still do well, not as well as before but still well generally top 3 in damage winning or losing. But when it is my time boom I get destroyed for a couple. Good fun. I understand the MM issues but I am not sure there is a prefect system 100% off the time. You win big they push you up. Lose some slide down.

Lose some slide down. As you say, you should be able to have some balanced games in D3. Prepare to spend a long time in Diamond League. Don’t try and race up the leagues too quickly. You are getting close to the Diamond 1/Expert 3 matchmaking purgatory which can be VERY unpleasant. If you are in Diamond 1 and have a good winrate, the MM will put you in the top matchmaking tier. This means you will face 2 to 3 Champion League players each game, possibly with maxed MK2 hangars. This will also happen if you squad with someone Diamond 1 or above. Believe me, you do NOT want to expose yourself to this before all of your weapons are at least level 10, as it’s really discouraging to play games where the outcome has been determined the moment you start the countdown. Furthermore you will find even camping snipers will score more damage than you, which is especially frustrating when you lose the game because of their unwillingness to challenge the beacons. Enjoy Diamond League for the next few months to maximise your enjoyment of the game. Ignore this advice at your own peril. Best of luck with it and good to see you on the forum. DV |

So much fun. I've been running my tharnage lately. Jumped in him to hemp defend a beacon ended up with four kills. The fourth wad the best. I had worked my way through the center of the ship blasting as I went along. Got on top did more damage. Then dropped back down worked my way towards their spawn. Poor unsuspecting fujin with full health didn't see me coming. Rushed him for a few spots in before he popped his shield. Then walked into his shield and finished him off. He only got three rounds in me as was shooting hydras so it was a very fulfilling kill. I hate hydras, can't wait until mine are leveled ?.

The Carnage is indeed a good bot, but always play between covers! I noticed that you don't use any plasma weapons, I suggest you to make a PDB Griffin (with two magnums and Tarans) after you get the fifth hanger slot, it's a very good setup. |

So latest update for excitement! I have done a serious changer in my hangar , for three reasons.
First to become better at lighter faster bots, beacon grabbing prepping for the event. Generally I am an in your face brawling type, so for me to run light and medium bots I have to get better at the stick and move.
Reason two to become better at distance support, not camping mind you. But I want to run my carnage zues and be helpful to the team, emphasis on helpful. A lead hose griffin has been a staple in my hangar since I put it together, but everything else knife fighting.
Third I want to have some fun before the big grind, the Christmas event.
So right now I have in my hangar a cossack with a shield, Gareth rdb,boa zues punisher, rog dual punishers and a spydra griffin. Outside of the Gareth and griffin these don't make sense.( see point three)
To that I jumped into dreadnaught in my cossack met up with a red Gareth on the far right beacon. He started shooting at me a ways out i just kept coming. I realized i had backup about the time he ducked behind some cover, so I ran in there to push him into the open so my boy in blue or girl toast 'em. I learned two things first I could neither push him out nor jump connected to him. Second if a Gareth is shooting punishers he can't hit a cossack at point blank. My guy came did what was needed and we got the beacon, won the game and o foot gold for the beacons(4). I felt really bad so when cossack's life was near complete i found that pilot and surrendered my life.

Not so excited. I was on Shenzhen inn the rhino running around the stair beacon side. Destroyed a fujin by running into his shield. Progressed further saw a carnage but he didn't see me. So lather rinse and repeat, right? No, this stalker with mags just kept shooting Abe what does the carnage due? yeah you guessed it, turn and fire at the big guy. Luckily I was close enough to run the rest of the way into his shield and hand him some orkin love, but I like taking less damage.
Moral of the story. There is a reason why you can't see a real sniper. Because the element of surprise is important.
Do please stop shooting youy little weapons for one second ave apply some team work for once. Thank you!

I have a new reason to be excited! I won a haechi. This thing is cool. I can see the reason for the complaints. I am only in diamond 2 and plan on staying there. Which means level 8/8 for everything. I think if I keep it there I will have fun and not become the whipping boy for the top dogs.
I mainly share this because I don't like the negative tone I find on many of these threads. So I wanted to bring a little happiness.
Anyway, I don't mean to brag. I don't mean to boast, but I'm intercontinental when I eat French toast.

I have recently stopped to look my position so closely in the league. Reached Expert 2 and was in halfway to Expert 1 when it did strike; why should I be worried about points or league rating ? I don't skip maps or game modes and do play every match as best I can. Yes... I drift a lot now in Expert league, mainly inside E2 but games are somehow more relaxed. I'm F2P player with some occasional Premium purchases from the past. This is not a lifestyle. Not to me at least |
