First post.
I've been really enjoying the game over the last month or two. I'm a new player, and I immediately fell in love with the game. I've been pitching it to all my buddies, and hooking as many of them as I can into it as well.
I felt the frustration of the seal clubbers. I cheered the new MM system as I saw it roll out.
I felt the growing pains of the new MM... I'm running a midrange hanger, 5 slots, and classic 4/6 loadout as I slowly upgrade and progress.
The first mismatched games I was a bit stunned. Why is my hangar running against maxed heavies? But it's growing pains. It's just the new MM. Grind on it, it'll get better.
It's not getting better. I watched my non gep win rate of 75-80% drop to 50%. It'll get better soon here! Nope. Still, my mid weight hangar gets matched against high level bots and weapons. Nowhere near my level. I use every ounce of hard earned strategy, but for all the getting the drop on the enemy , I'm barely even scratching their paint. Game after game. For 45 minutes I play, looking for just one win. Nope. And every game, even with my win rate hovering in the high 40%, I'm matched with enemy bots and weapons far beyond anything in my hangar. I'm all for tossing out the seal clubbers, but this is getting ridiculous. I've grinded and hung in there, but this game is rapidly losing all the fun it had. Something is badly wrong here.

It's very easy! Just get a maxed hangar like this guy and your win% will go up how it used to be(or better)! Needless to say that you will need some of this $$$ to achieve that >

I've had periods like this, where my win% started dropping as I progressed against stiffer competition. I worked through it after studying bot configuration and weapon use strategies. It's better now. It will probably happen again. Don't despair, you can do this.

...and so a game dies.
Please don't let this game die! I really like, and want to like this game! I wouldn't mind kicking in a bit of cash for the devs, (I already have) but I'm not paying $40 for a bot.

" Match making: the final frontier. These are the battles of the War Robots pilot. It's continuing mission: to explore strange new Elo system, to seek out new win rate and new maxed hangars, to boldy go where no robot has gone before. "

Still facing impossible matchups after many hours of playing. The fun is gone. I don't enjoy piloting moderate speed mediums or tank slow heavies.

Playing on Android I'm still safe from what you are facing, but I know what you feel everytime I switch to my "off-the-shelf-all-ag-hangar" trying to be successful with it. Why I'm doing this? Doing something different and develop some skill - not winning because of all those gold weapons. Win rate is always going down. Sometime feels useless effort. What we are facing is change. For most, that what worked before no longer functions. But I do not agree that one can only be successful running full 12/12 hangars. I get my fun from doing other things: Taking down that one Lance, or Fury or just once turn that central beacon on Yama blue. Sometimes it costs me three bots, sometimes I get almost no silver. And I see my team loosing. But I will develop my Thunders, my Boas and those RDB Griffs. All paid with silver. This is my game inside the game. I do not plan to play top so I can level other things than just on hangar. And it will get me somewhere. I call this the Muhlakai-way. He may ban me for this, but read his post about what he calls brickfighting. That's the attitude to begin with. Keep it up!

Your frustration is understandable. But, the MM is starting to settle down as more and more players amestablish their Elo. A system like this settles from the top down, basically the TT Guy rise up and it calms from there down. Basically people like you, mid/low strength hangers with and established Elo are the proverbial whipping boy, you're the ines doing the hard work of sorting the system.
I'm at ~9/9.5 and I was seeing tons of 12/12 guys, but as the system settles down and fewer and fewer of those guys need to establish their Elos I'm seeing a greatly reduced number of them. I also never see anyone anymore that is close to as weak of a hanger as you. That means that once the system settles nonone but the absolute worst players with strong hangers should be anywhere near you, well except for the guys purposefully tanking their stats maybe, but Pix has acknowledged the problem of people dropping games for that purpose.
The system is already settling towards the top down and it'll only get better. I'm now maintianing a very consistent 56-58% winrate that hasn't fluctuated past 54-60% in a while now. I'm not Top Toer, but I am high enough that I'm seeing the start of the settling.
Give it more time, S fewer and fewer people have unextablished Elos the system gets much better and will continue to fine tune. It's been five days.
