I tried hellfire. The rhino doesn't turn fast enough to keep firing while the shield is up. Not worth the effort.
I personally use PDB rhino. DB is also good but I prefer to have that on a griffin.

Ok, with another week or so playing the PDB I'm starting to really get it. The biggest problem with the Rhino is because of its speed you can easily get yourself into situations you can not get out of.

The biggest problem with the Rhino is because of its speed you can easily get yourself into situations you can not get out of. For the longest time I *loved* my plasma rhino but kept getting ahead of everything into horribly fatal situations. Switched to DB, and now Hellfire rhino. Play it more patiently, plus rushing in suicidally is almost expected from a DB. But I recently discovered that you *can* run away in a rhino (well DC and PP are very forgiving). I've done it a few times in my Hellfire rhino, and it's worked a charm. But you have to do it decisively, and you have to do it either *early*, or while there's a distraction.

I played the plasma rhino like a PDB Griffin and I sorta got it. Besides the DB set-up is way better on a Griffin and I don't have 2400Au spare to buy another pair of Orkans ATM. I think that's the right move. Typically I run (and recommend) 3 plasma bots and 2 splash bots. It's hard to call any bot "best", because it's all about balancing you hanger with the right attributes. That said I find plasma very strong on shield bots, with the Galahad my favorite, the Lancelot probably second and the Rhino 3rd. I'm not as big a fan of the plasma Griffin as many top players due to its vulnerability to shielded plasma bots. For Orkan I typically prefer running them on Griffin first, Lancelot 2nd and Rhino 3rd. However these preferences take a back seat to hanger balancing. I usually don't like to run more than one Lancelot due to their slow speed- I want to be sure I get every bot into action in a tough match. In fact depending on how long my bots are lasting I'll move to a faster platform like the Rhino even if the Griffin is generally the stronger bot. So while I'll agree that Orks are stronger on Griffin, I'm currently playing the following. YMMV: Incredible. While not having taken your advice (got a lance rather than a fury), I have ended up with a near identical hanger. Down to the pragmatic DB rhino even while preferring to run plasma and the plasma lancelot. The only point of difference is that the fury is a claytons: Natasha with tridents and crvs.

I don't know if anyone has looked at the Legend League in app. If you start going down the line from the top and check out hangars. Almost every hangar has a DB rhino in it. Which confirms to me that the Rhino still has a place in TT. And by the looks of it, a very strong place.

Expert League here and I'm also noticing a slight surge of Rhino use.

I've seem many combinations of Rhino lately, one of note was a RDB Rhino standing guard as a turret in Springfield (which proved annoyingly successful). I'm definite no expert with the Rhino, my only success with it is using the Hellfire Combo. I love running at enemies with my magnums to soften them up or throwing up my shield and forcing them to retreat while my Orkans reload.
If it's pure DB I feel like the Griffin is much better suited (also currently in my hangar).

Almost impossible to find a hanger without a Griffin, however...

In fact, i feel like plasma Griffin rules 80% of Griffin set ups, if not more. Some of the top guys on Android seem to be running the aphid/ork set up with Griffins. The DB set up with Rhino's, and plasma seems to be left up to either Thunder Carnage or Lancelots.

I'm playing Android, and despite the massive damage output that a Plasma Griff can have I prefer plasma on my britbots.
As for the Rhino, I wonder, I value the ability to jump out of a rocket attack very much. And the Rhino is very vulnerable to rockets. But yeah, I may also get a Rhino someday and try it in place of an ADB griff.
