OK, so I have a lead-hose Griffin (all punisher). A few times in the past two days I have been attacked by a Plasma Griff at about 300m And for some crazy reason they decided to jump CLOSER!! And then sign their death warrant, as my damage output ramps up. Crazy peeps..

LoL he was over-confident and didn't know how much damage Punishers do up-close. To be fair, there is no reason at all to go under 330 340 m if you are using Tarans, no matter the opponent.

Yeah, love this. I still get amazed at how HP disappears when firing a lead-hose a close range. A full clip at 100m takes a Tarancilot down shields and all

How is lead-hose Griffin against a Thunder Punisher Leo? I'm not longer playing my FB account and I can only remember few encounters, but I never checked the upgrade levels, later...

That would be interesting. I run a thunder/punisher Leo, but I don't remember ever going head to head with a lead hose Griffin. Probably depends on who gets the drop on who. Hit point wise, a Leo has the upper hand though. Can't wait to MK2 mine to lvl 12... it's an insane amount of hit points.

That's like rushing to close with a Thunder Carnage...I guess they gotta learn somehow.
The thunder pun Leo, like any ballistic load out, will be more effective the closer red is. I run one (all lvl 6), but haven't gone 1 on 1 with a punisher griff yet. Even if it happens, red would have to be all lvl 6 for a real comparison, and that would be hard to engineer. Will update if I get the chance.

I have 7/9.5 Punisher Griffin and 9/10 Thunder Carnage in GR, I would not run too close to Thunder/Punisher Leo with my Griffin but I will run to Leo with my Carnage. I’ve never done the calculation, but I guess Thunder probably doing 4 x damage from 300m to 50m, Punisher probably around 2 to 2.5 x damage.

Well three punishers and a Thunder vs 2 Punishers and 2 Punisher-Ts has to be pretty close... but as much would depend on how full the mags for the Puns are on each bot, as well as the Thunder, as it would on whether the Griff had Jump available... assuming both are at full HP and even levels. One factor is Range... Thunder may be more affected by it than Punisher... at what range would the ideal test be fought?
With Custom matches, though, it should be easy to arrange a quick shootout to test just raw damage output vs HP. The edge may just go to the Leo... but I don't know... The Leadhose is a beast.
A Jesse the Body Ventura Rhino vs ThunPun Leo, however, would prolly be a closer match if the Leo won the Leadhose battle...
Hmmmm....

I had recently tested. Thunder shooting at a Patton.
For a Thunder, it is really, really bad. "Range/% of max damage" output looks like this 500 - 1%, 450 - 7%, 400 - 7%, 350 - 10%, 300 - 10%, 250 - 13%, 200 - 24%, 150 - 36%, 100 - 76%
It's worse for a Cossack as target (eg. 41% for Cossack vs 76% for Patton at 100m and 18% vs 24% at 200m), so one can assume somewhat better for a larger target.
Griff vs Leo, I'd expect the Griff to win _IF_ the damage output is high enough to toast the Leo before the clip is empty. Otherwise the Griff is probably going to be dead before it's Punishers have reloaded.
Just my 2cc.

My little experience points toward the Leo as winner, In as straight forward rush without hit&run tactics. As I stated before I forgot to check the stats of the opponents, later, so it's not a real test. Damn, it seems I'll have to get back to my FB account and look for some other encounter.

My Leo is packing MK2 lvl 12 Punishers and a lvl 11 thunder, so it wouldn't be a fair fight. Shreds Ancilots, so I'm guessing it would have the same effect on a Grif.

A comparable lvl punGriff at 400m would outhit that Leo everytime unless you were able tp close the distance. Unlike Puns and PunT's damage from a thunder is trivial above 400m. You can shred ancilots at that range b/c 100% of what you shoot hits the ancile at that range and all 4 weapons do 2x damage to their armor.

My daughter is crazy (or maybe not) She now has 3 Punisher Griffs Still in Silver though, eventually she will realise that the Armoured Bots are more Punisher-proof.

I was in a Pun-galahad, and this Plasma-Giff jumped right into my face. I couldn't believe it.
Didn't even go through my shield before it died.

How is lead-hose Griffin against a Thunder Punisher Leo? I'm not longer playing my FB account and I can only remember few encounters, but I never checked the upgrade levels, later... Because of the Thunder, it totally depends on the range. I run a 9/9 Leadhose and I always try to stay back with it. I try to keep a distance of 400m from all enemies when I begin to engage. Once I get an enemy down to about half health and I’m fully loaded, If I know I’m clear, I will then move in. Playing this way I can take out anything, including said Leo. Now within 200m, the Leo will have the edge. I’ve fallen in love with my Leadhose. It’s great to bring in late in a game. Especially for targeting Ancilots. I take them out with ease. Sometimes without them ever getting a shot on me. Engage at 400-500m, keep backing away if they approach. Save jump for if they close in 350m and jump back. I’ve noticed that the smart Ancilot pilots quickly run away and get behind cover though when the Puns start spinnin’.

I've considered punishers to be used "close as possible", and in fact Griffins who took this approach against my Leo fell. But it was on FB account with a large spread of rankings. Regarding my main account on Android, I can tell that Punisher Griffins are a rare sight in high diamond / low expert, so I've unable to see many of them in action. The vast majority seems DB, followed by RDB/PDB more or less in equal measure. In fact I have a Griffin waiting for proper equipment and I have to take a decision.
