I have heard that the matchmaking algorithm favours players that spend money. Since realizing that I have paid special attention to my opponents profiles, with some very sad results. I don't spend money on this game and I have found the MM system favours opponents that do, so that non paying players are forced to pay so they can win and paying players are matched against players that don't so they win easily. This game is corrupt to its core. Buy a AAA console title and forget this piece of crap.

While I agree about closing this one, i do have something to say about the matchmaking. However, its more on the algorithm than complaining. I am a programmer and I do know that code needs adjustments or enhancements if you will. I for have spent money on this game because it deserves it and because i would like to compete. Don't misunderstand this for complaining, this is more in trying to assist in better balancing. This game has been out long enough to have some good solid data feedback on matches. I quite often have match-ups where its very one-side, in my favor and against. Only about a quarter of the time do i get a solid match where it comes down to the wire with the final few robots and time left on the clock. The algorithm worked! I view profiles after battles and I can see why they are lop-sided. I don't think you are using a weighted mechanism on the placement of teams. You need to give weight numbers to the players robots (robot level/weapon level) at that time of the battle. There is no way this is happening or at least correctly.
Another issue with the match making is when a whole clan comes in. When a whole clan comes in and absolutely demolishes you, it is not fun. However, you can see what happens if you spend lots of money, plus put the correct equipment on the correct robot. It does help prepare for building your future robots. I don't mind this, but you should have the option to turn it off. Then you can play with the same group of people as yourself. Who spends a few bucks or not and wants to last more than a few minutes. Clans are an awesome concept with any game, it prolongs the life of it. You should be rewarded for spending a few hundred dollars to get the latest robot, or weapon, but not at the expense of others whom are casual gamers. You have to adhere to all minded players, not just one. Again, dont get me wrong, because some one will, this should be an option to turn on/off before you join in a battle. This also could seemingly tie into the algorithm issues, with getting some balance against high paying clan members or paying members, as myself.
One final fix is the locking on issue with robots that you cant actually hit. Depending on weapons. The worst is when i am in the middle of a fire fight and someone walks above in the flag room and my target moves to them. I cant seem to shake it and i get railed. The space map with the beacon in the middle room above the walkway to the enemy side. Also the Mars map with the beacon in the middle walkway, i fight across the way and someone moves under the bottom and the lock moves to them. I cant actually hit them and i'm in the middle of fighting, but the target switches to a robot that i can't even see. You gotta fix this issue. It is a hard one, but should not switch if you mouse button is down fighting someone else and move to a non-hit-able target. This is a tough nut to crack.
Again to help prolong the life of the game would be more maps. If you are building it with a designer, you should be trying to punch them out. How about winter maps? Forests? Other planets, out side of Mars - maybe the moon? Cities on Earth? ie: Chicago, Paris How about a jungle map? Desert?
Anyway, great game! Just needs a few adjustments IMO.
