I'm used to different forum software, which allows you to get a notification when somebody replies in a thread you've posted to (or manually subscribe to a thread). Is there an equivalent in this forum software?
In Profile > Settings, I already have everything that can be switched on, switched on. "New Thread" is disabled, as is "New Posts". The latter might be what I'm looking for, but maybe not. I was actually hoping it was the "Participated" option, given its description, but I see no notifications for replies.

I think only way to get notified is that someone tags you ( CtrlZ) or quotes you. It would be good if some notification occurs when thread is replied and you have been posting to it - I'll use it right away. |

Yeah, oddly enough the ProBoards (software being used, apparently) documentation seems to suggest that the 'participated' toggle should be it; www.proboards.com/user-guide/notifications"when a thread you have participated in is updated - If someone posts in a thread you had previously posted in, you'll receive a notification. If the notification is sent by email, you will receive at most one email per day containing a list of all updated threads." So, I'm not sure why that's not working. |

I get a little "new" icon in my participated button every time someone replies in a thread I've participated in. Oh, it was link ! I didn't noticed that (I'm using aQuatic5 theme) - well now it is easier to follow those participated threads ! Maybe CtrlZ wasn't noticed that too ? |
