I think he meant full clan squads.
They definitely will play randoms. Not enough other full clan squads for them to fight at any given time.
But you do see mixed clan squads now to form an all-star try-hard squad. Life is short, must try-hard.

Now, ending up like that with randoms is unfortunate but luckily not very common.
The insanity is that it happens routinely when you squad in expert with more than 2 other people.. in fact, nowadays, squadding with 4 or more exprtes is suicidal as 4 out of 5 times you end up facing full maxed clan squads.
For the ones who don't know, the MM check maximum level of the best player of the team (and expert, master and champions are all the same for it) and then looks for number of players in the squad, matching with the "appropriate" squad that is closer in numbers. Apparently, there's not many 4+ squads around and top clans are, of course, more likely to run full squads hence... massacre.
What is worse, this situation is destroying clans, in particular those comprised of mixed levels members: it was already the case that the higher level members couldn't squad with the lower level ones (hence, the training of new players while earning silver and gold is essentially not possible anymore assuming someone still does, that's possible only in custom matches), but now even squadding with too many of your same level mates is a recipe for disaster.
Yay.

this is why I love being a random and successfully beating a full squad.

I bump into full BoAm squads reasonably regularly.
It's so bad it's funny, but I try to evade as long as possible lol

Okay...I'm glad you guys brought up this clan thing. Besides stomping the he** out of non-clan players in Random battles, is there any other benefit? Do you earn gold or credits with clan membership? Do you get to win things like bots or weapons by scoring higher than other clans? Part of my problem is I don't own a mic/headset and most clans require voice comms to join. Plus my boss (wife) gets disturbed when I get too vocal playing the games. Yacking constantly during a battle wouldn't go over very well. Also, I have gone down the list of clans on Facebook. The majority of them don't speak English. So they are out. I have been in clans in World of Tanks. I am an old curmudgeon. When there are clan members that start cussing and screaming about a loss, I don't enjoy that. And taking orders from some 12-year-old, even if he is a master player...not gonna happen. I took orders most of my life. I am retired now and I don't take orders from anyone...except the wife Sorry other than being able to Squad up and have some fun with a few mates, and learning a few new techniques, No there is not any other advantages to joining a clan. However as you said before the main two things here is that you get a reasonably balanced team and you have fun instead of the usual imbalance you get 99% of the time when going solo. Being in a clan does not mean you cant go solo just gives you the choice to get together and have some fun. Now for finding the correct clan for you. well good luck as with life there is bad ones good ones and the ugly ones.

Played a game yesterday that had to be the shortest one in history. I didn't realize that clans could play together in regular, random game play, but it appears they can. Holy cripes. We got swarmed and the game was over in a matter of seconds. All top tier, fully upgraded bots with maximum upgraded weapons. I'm sure my whole team was left with their jaws hanging open and saying "What The Fudge?" I forgot the name of the clan. I think is was 3 letters. But it was one of the least enjoyable games I have played. Is this common? Are clans allowed to play as one team vs a random team? Seems like something like that shouldn't happen. I mean you have players with bots that are brand new and not upgraded and they hardly know how to operate them against a team that has the "best-of-the-best" and are pros. Even in World of Tanks, the most you could play against in a Random game was a platoon of 3. It's tough work being the computers that run the Kingdom of Loathing. Even computers deserve a break once in a while, so every night, at about X:30 PM (your time), we have what we like to call nightly maintenance, or as the community calls it, "rollover."

Once in a long time you get a really good one. But most of them have to be "carried" by a few good players. Not saying I am one of those few good players, but I have done my share. I have seen a few forum members in the game. A bit frustrating I can't "team up" with them in a battle. Heck, can't even say hi to them.

You could, in theory, if you have a facebook account (or if you make a specific one for the game). Then, you just see their facebook id on the profile and connect with them, then they will appear on your "friends" list in the squad screen. In case, I'd suggest PMing them here first or right after, so they now the friendship request is from you (on facebook, at times, you can get dozens of random friends requests and at some point one might just ignore them)

Not necessarily, although, on a practical point of view, you would only recognize, and therefore check for the facebook id in their profile, those who do have the same or very similar id there and on the forum. So, the ones you thought you have seen, you would possible be able to get in touch with, the others.. well, you can always ask them in PM.

Meh...seems like way too much effort just to play with someone. I'll stick to solo. But thanks anyway.

In FBGR, if you solo in Dom you usually don't run into full clan squads. I run 7/8 bots solo often.

Had this one tonight. Not quite a full clan. But the rollover was spectacular.
