I hug the walls because there's some serious crap falling on DC and my ancile's glowing so much it's sensory overload. I'd just helped mow down an Ancilot from the back. I rush to get to better cover. Later I spy three reds at 2 o'clock. Despite my proximity, they don't seem to be aware of me as they're not making a move to approach or flee. I pause by an opening, expecting to get pummeled by rockets. Nothing. I take a quick peek at what I'm up against. I don't believe it.
I heart rate goes through the roof. The last time I got this roused was with a couple Dutch exchange students at a Milwaukee Summerfest (not quite). My heart pounds in my ears in anticipation. I wait till one has fired everything before I bust in screaming, "Here's Johnny!" I fight the urge to go for the easiest prey first and go for the one that poses the most threat: the Fujin. I don't fire; I know I'll need everything I got for the feast that lies ahead, so I wait till I'm inside his Ancile before pounding him with thunders. Die! DIE! D--IE! He goes down but I know he'll spawn into something more lethal, so I make haste.
I approach the zenith Fury savoring its outline from the back. He doesn't know he's under fire until hammered twice by thunders. The thunders struggle but they eventually do what they do best at close range. I turn toward the Zenith-Nori Tasha. Unlike the Fury she knows I'm coming because she watched the whole spectacle. Why she didn't eject and instead fire her weapons fruitlessly behind me is a mystery. I pound her nevertheless but the thunders are painfully slow and lag makes aiming challenging especially at close range. I start to doubt whether I'll be able to take her out when I see yellow plasma sparks hitting me from behind. I don't bother turning to see what's coming but rush ahead and put the Tasha between me and the coming embodiment of revenge: a Plasma Griff. He be bigly pissed. I could wait to reload and save my shots for the Griff-- the logical thing to do--but the heart wants what it wants and it wanted the Tasha taken out. With a final, "Why don't you just DIEEE!" I pound her and she crumbles. A parting point-blank shot at the Griff's face before getting taken out.
The Thunder Carnage is an incredibly balanced bot and epitomizes what used to be (and sometimes still is) so awe inspiring about the game.

Great stuff.
I personally get my rush (pun intended) with Orkan Rog most often. Players are generally more afraid of a Thunder Carnage, and I get extra joy out of killing bots who confidently thought they could easily take out such a soft target with just 2 medium weapons.

Don’t you just love it when they don’t bother to look around and you slowly go inside their ancile and boom..kill it..although I love carnage those plasma weap hurts it so much..if I get out of hiding those treb,zues,plasma grif users won’t target another grif standing beside me..but will target my poor carnage..if only it could get some type of protection against plasma..maybe a weak physical shield like lance would be gr8..although I still use zues carny however find it hard to use thunder carnage in dom mode..in beac mode they work nicely

Love Rogs as well but it wasn't till I had a surplus of Au and didn't know what to do with it that I bought my first Rog. Man, they are fun to run and great at harassing Kbots. |

this is a bit old battle at Diamond1 leagues with clan mates. Thunders were only level 6~7 at that time. anyways you gotta love when Griffs, Rogs, etc. keep jumping towards you while waiting at the narrow alley near B beacon at PP  if the video does not start with the Thunder Carn, watch from 1m 46s: link to the video (up to 1440p) |

100% agree with the post. Those, regrettably rare occasions, where you'd kill 3 or 5 with the good olde TC!! Took carefully crafted skill and application.
Now all you need is an ancile, three organs and a couple dashes

Bravo!  . Dead city is a beautiful place to spawn when I have my Carnage thunders and Rogs in. it is the map that I took one carny thunder to enemy spawn and magically lasted until everything was dead and I had scored just over a million. Never happened again and probably never will. What a feeling! |

Since the Thunder nerf, it doesn't hit that hard anymore. I used to see chunks of health fall off.

That was what War Robots used to be, and THAT was what made it a great game. Not this Dash bullcrap.
I had five Carnages on my main acct. Running a full Carnage hangar was risky but FUN. Miss those days.

I was thinking about creating a thread about the Carnage and Rhino and how they are so well balanced and interesting. They have serious drawbacks that give them a high skill ceiling. The Dash robots, particularly the Haechi, don't really have any drawbacks. They are durable, the most mobile robots in the game, and have great firepower. I had a feeling the Dash robots would ruin the game, and I warned about how strong they were... and here we are now. |

Carnage is relatively cheap to upgrade. One could get it to Mk2 lv12 without breaking the bank (takes a long time, but if you're Ag-limited, that doesn't matter).
However, I'm fearful to bring any bot to Mk2. Would have greater faith that the taran and orkan will be viable weapons over the long haul than any bot (including haechis due for a slow series of nerfs).

I was thinking about creating a thread about the Carnage and Rhino and how they are so well balanced and interesting. They have serious drawbacks that give them a high skill ceiling. The Dash Robots, particularly the Haechi, don't really have any drawbacks. They are durable, are the mobile robots in the game, and have great firepower. Except haiechi both dash bot are well balanced,,they require skill to play. .I have a kumiho and I find it easier to pilot rog compared to my kumi..so as long as game don’t have shocktrains,haiechi and fix mm game would become gr8 as it was before While all robots require skill, some more so than others. The Leo is easy to play with a low skill ceiling and relatively low potential. The Rhino is has a much higher skill ceiling and potential, but it is harder to play, harder to extract that potential and that is how it should be. The higher the skill ceiling and potential, the harder a robot should be to play. Good players should always be piloting the hardest to play robots because they have the skills to bring out the potential of those robots. It is what separates good players from bad players. You see a greater separation in skill if you compare a bad player in a Rhino to a good player in a Rhino, than with a Leo. Easy to play (low skill ceiling) with high potential is a recipe for disaster and should be avoided in games of skill, because you don't get the seperation of skill. I used the analogy adding to Queens to Chess previously to explain what Pixonic is doing to the game and it applies here. The Queen is easy to use and has huge potential. If both sides had 15 Queens and 1 King, Chess would be a trivial, low skill game compared to what it is now. Because the Knight has such restricted movement paths, it allows players with a lot of skill to use it much better than low skill players. You can't really say the same about the Queen. The ability to play around a drawback (as you have to do with the Rhino) is a hallmark of skill. The Dash robots offer no serious drawbacks, they are Queens. |

My biggest rush is getting into the bubble of an ancilot with an orkan rog or db griff. The griff takes timing since its so slow and the lance backs up when they realize whats up.

Easy to play is not a prob..no one asked peeps to choose rhino over Leo but he still chooses it assuming he had both choices..If easy to play would not have been implemented no one would like to play the game if skill required are too much...skills are developed gradually..I am playing game since quite a while..at start I didnâ??t even do like 100k damage with my 5/5 weap now I am doing 600k+ in most of the games with 4 slots lvl 9/10 weap and kicking butt till diamond 1 in expert mm changes a lot though..I do agree with you partially though..itâ??s when those easy to play bots becomes so op that it takes too much skill which rarely very few peeps have and even if skilled and weap lvl are low they might end up losing..Leo might be better than rhino acc to you however against ancilot it donâ??t stand much chance however DB rhino can rush inside shield and kick ancilot ?bum-bum? although it requires skills however I donâ??t see a skilled player killing ancilot with full health with his Leo assuming both of their bot lvl and weap lvl are max ..a stalker is too easy to kill for anyone but give it to a skilled peep with max mags assuming u got no physical shield he might end up taking more than 2/3rd of your health..although to play with stalker is too easy not all can do it..hopefully u got what I mean ..and except haiechi I can bet 2 peeps can kill a dash without lowering his health by 1/2..actually even old rdb grif is deadly against those two..I thought same that they are so op till I got kumiho from event but man it do require skill to play with the speed it got |

I think the original post says Kumiho was harder to play than a Rog? the post does not fit the narrative that Kumiho is expensive and easier to play with higher rewards (hence a problem)... I think both Rog and Kumiho are okay in terms of balance. there are bigger problems... |
