Suprising how people had literally turned into peasants, farming all day. Do you really have to have 80%+ win ratio?
I wasn't top tier and I still am not with my 6/8 hangar but these battles are so much more satisfying. I was at 90%+ win ratio and now at 60%.
Screw farming, this isn't a farm simulator. You people had forgotten every other way of enjoying the game other than getting 1-10 gold rewards.

After playing 100 rounds or so, it's pretty obvious this change will primarily benefit paying players who have bought preimum bots/max weapons who will reap the rewards. Players who have bots/weapons to the highest 11/12 levels and earn the most damage-based gold and survive long enough to capture beacons. As others have said, it's gold clubbing. The problem is that it becomes very difficult for free players to be competitive. Free players can't earn gold/silver and will fall further and further behind. Since free players can only win 50% of the games and low chance at placing gold (due to low damage output), the earned income will take much much longer. You could play 10-20 games and barely get any gold/silver. At least that's been my experience. I disagree, a dB rhino/griffin only costs 2400 gold which can be earned through missions, capping beacons, or most damage. Plasma rhino/griffin only costs time. Rdb griffin only costs silver... I think it's funny you're complaining that the people who pay to keep this game financed can do these things quicker. It costs money to keep the servers up and running and it costs money to keep updating this game. The way I see it, I make more money in an hour than the gold I can grind in that same hour. Knowing this and knowing I really like this game, and that i'll most likely continue playing it, it makes more sense time-wise to simply buy some gold and use the time I've saved on having fun with my bots.

I think it's funny that you assume I'm complaining about paying players. I've spent more on IAP games than I care to admit. :)
You're correct, IAP should only accelerate time. In other iOS games I've played, the matchups were even and players play with similar classed assets. IAP players competed with other IAPs or high level people who have grinded it out over periods of time. Developing players play against similarly sized players while they grow into top competing form.
I'm pointing out this is not the case in the new MM. Players as low as 7/8, 8/8 etc are constantly being pitted against top players with maxed out hangars. The non-IAP players lose the ability to catch up and progress in this scenario. This disparity is where things start breaking down. Look at the difference in win % and damage output and it's not hard to deduct the conclusion when 8/8 players are matched up with 11/12 players.

It may be so right now and not so much that anymore (It was definitely two 72 hours ago, but in my last games there was probably a 2 levels differential, and I'm on the weaker side of the equation), but not in the long run. Why? Because, if it's true that there is this ELO system, in the (hopefully only relatively) long term, maxed hangars will rise in the ranking and lower hangars will drop in the rankings and they shall not face each other again. How long will it take? Ah. Apparently, for IoS people it took a week. I suspect there are 10 Android players for each IoS one so... 2 weeks, if we are lucky, but probably about a week to see reasonable match in a consistent way. I suggest squadding until then. I don't know by which method (maybe they average in the squad rather than taking the best player for the ELO?) it seems to me squadding games (even with people not of your clan, but picked up while you play) to be more balanced and the more players in the squad the more so

Didn't hit Android until this morning. Let us know how your experience with the new MM is. Yep, by all accounts, it is here. Funny thing is, today when I take my Fujin (lvl7/7to8 Tulumbas) for a ride and put my lvl6 Natasha (9 weapons) storage while keeping rest same (7: boa, gala, boa with 9 weapons and 6 rhino with 8 weapons) my team mates and enemies are like lvl 12 bots with 12 weapons. So it seem this new mm give quite hard penalty when you change your bots "on the fly". It might be that my winrate (70%) have something to do with it but anyway... I felt bit lightweight comparing our best (we both get 5 gold, I for capping he for blasting things up) lvl 11 Fujin 12 orkans, 12 Leo/12, 12Boa/12, 12 Griffin/12, 12Griffin/12 with 72% winrate. (GodofDestruction clan) I guess I go back for my Natasha now and try not to change for bot for few days... maybe mm will ignore me if I ignore it Edit: and after change (back to Natasha) best enemy was with lvl 6 bots, lvl 8 to 11 weapons 5 slot. Our best was 4 slot, 3x 8 bot and 1x10 bot with 9/10 weapons. Were 3:rd and this is OK. Enough of challenge but not only 11/12 or 12/12 against and with me. And I get 40 gold bonus for killing 4 bots in single fight... good way to start a day.
