For months now, since new MM and the noticeable increase during events, I and many others have spoken out against TC. For the high level players who still do it, I still speak strongly against it. For a select few others, however, I may have to ease up a bit.
I mentioned a few days ago that I started another new account. I simply prefer the lower level gameplay (of course, after spending about 2 years building a max Champion lvl hangar...) where every loadout is not a DB of one sort or another and it takes time to whittle your opponent down. All the while, he's whittling you down, too, and skill is more than knowing when to pounce and hammer the big red button. I determined that lvl 6 is as high as I'm taking anything, so I don't have to see a dash bot every time I turn around. I do still see some, but in most cases I'd say it's someone who's hammered their way thru the event tasks and got the Kumiho. Imo, it's the only dash with any sense of balance.
Just made lvl 27 this morning, in Silver 2, and already seeing 8-10/8-11 bots on both sides. Lots of obvious tanking on both sides, too. I'm doing it with this account also, as I also mentioned in an earlier thread, but at Lvl 6 I'm not being too brutal.
Point is, unless you're going to spend, a new player almost has to TC some to reach those milestones that require gold. 4th slot is pretty easy without it, but 5th and any gold weapons/bots? You gotta farm if you're not gonna spend, and TC is the only way to farm.
I believe it's by design. I'm not advocating or encouraging it, just acknowledging it and saying I understand it for newer players who are building their hangars. High lvl folks who do it for lulz are just being jerks, and I'm not ok with that.
I won't waste breath giving the easy solution to the hi lvl TC problem. Pix is not interested, and most here have read it a few times. So with this new account (all lvl 6 max), having been unable to beat them, ima have to join them for a little while. Since nobody's interested in the solution, I guess I'll be part of the problem.
Hope you all can dig it just a little bit.

Also, just to note, many crap on GR, but it's not loaded with tankers/faders and the big $$$ hangars are further and fewer. Come to the dark side...Hah!

My clan is TC (Total Control on iOS) so it caught my eye when 'I and many others have spoken out against TC'. I was like, "What did we do?!? Did we piss in someone's cereal?" lol |

Well to be Honest just with Beacons as an objective to get, the game leans to this kinda game play especially when you have to get 85 beacons to complete one set of objectives. also we all are competing with others doing the exact same objective it is bound to happen a lot till they change the objectives to just wins damage and kills only. just my two cents.  |

Yes, TC = Tanking/Clubbing.
Also, good point about the sky high beacon tasks etc. They push you to play a certain way that's not always team centered.

oh another thing i learnt today reading through some of the forum posts here, that Face book game room no matter what league you are in you will face both top tier guys and the lower end guys too. The match making here is none existent. pretty sad to be honest.

Before event I had around 3k gold saved up for my 5th slot. The event was a very good chance for me to quickly get those another 2k gold. That's why I camped. Just unlocked my 5th slot yesterday ?
Now I am not doing it. And although you may not believe it but camping is not that much fun. The part where you have to lower your league is really boring. Unless you have a specific goal like I had (unlocking my 5th slot) you won't like it.

Maybe it's an Android thing, but I am Diamond I and I frequently have players in much lower leagues with much lower levels than myself. I must have missed something going on before I started playing.

If you are in Android and are seeing that... I'd be curious to know the definition of "frequently" in this context. How much of a difference in league? How often? |

Yeah... come to where the cookies are at! (They are laced with a sedative to ease the pain from the complete lack of any MM discernment, though... which makes the big $$ hangars not as important since it's not occasional to see a mismatch, but every game! LOL I see Silver to Champs in games regularly. BUT... at least it's usually about the same on both teams.... unless one team is a squad, then all you can do is just embrace the BOHICA! It is still fun though... I care a lot less about the wins and just shoot things.  )

If you are in Android and are seeing that... I'd be curious to know the definition of "frequently" in this context. How much of a difference in league? How often? Daily. Yesterday I was in a match with 3/4 of both teams under level 15 and in some of the lowest level leagues. I am not completely familiar with the league symbols as of yet. The next highest level to me was a 26 in Gold II. I'm not seeing that at all... I am in Diamond 2... Are you playing on a Kindle, by chance? If so you are prolly on the Amazon server... which is different than Android and throws MM out of the window. Do you seem to get less to zero rewards lately? If so, then you may be in LQ, which also throws MM out of the window. Otherwise, all I can say is my experiences are exactly opposite from yours and would like to know what is causing that kind of matching. |

FaceBook GameRoom is similar. yep i can confirm this as i play on Facebook Gameroom and we get really messed up match making, from a full under-geared pug groups all the way to champs full clan load outs and everything in between. It's like a box of chocolates, you never quite know exactly what you are going to get! |

Update - Though I understand it (for lower lvl players), I can't stomach doing it any more. It just sucks. I've been tanking my 2nd account (all lvl 6) to grind enough for my 5th slot. That's been accomplished, and I vow not to tank anymore. I'll see where I end up with my Lvl 6 hangar and ride it out. Main benefit has been not seeing many Cash bots.
