The "Roulette Table" in the 2017 Halloween Event is not at all a roulette table. Through the observations of many players, it is very much a "Totem Pole". The worst prizes on the bottom and the best prizes at the top. This is not a bad system if presented differently and correctly, but the current "Get Lucky and spin to win a Prize! You can win an expensive prize with just a few short spins that barely cost you any AU!" presentation is a blatant lie in the face of many. Please make no mistake, we as players, if those of us reading this are intelligent enough to recognize it, know that you are essentially laughing at us as though we were stupid. Please do not mock our intelligence before you mock your own lack thereof. We are insulted.
This system could tie in as a permanent addition much like the Black Market, but it needs to be presented visually as a type of "Ascend the Tower with each Opening and gain a better prize!" type of presentation. I am reminded of the Tower of Challenge in the videogame series Mortal Kombat; challenge weak opponents at the bottom but challenge stronger ones as you rise. If you participate in this gimmick (and make no mistake this is a very dry copy-and-paste gimmick which many other MMOs utilize) then you can gain better prizes as you participate and succeed. This would challenge players new and old to try harder and become more skillful with a tempting and reachable reward at the end.
If this were to become a permanent addition, then AU as the only way to earn prizes would be fine if the amounts were much smaller. The most anyone should have to pay should be 1000. There is also a new mechanic that could be employed to make this easier and far more tempting. Just as the Daily Tasks award you for completing certain conditions, if these conditions are met then you may be awarded with Vouchers that reduce the amount needed to pay by a certain percentage.
