In the last couple of games I've seen that the team holding 3 beacons and has more bots than hostiles lose with less than 20 secs left. It goes against the rules of the game. Is this a glitch? Has anyone noticed it? I'm a newbie but started losing interest after seening it. Second time happening to me in 3 days.

There is a bar of red and blue at the top where it shows the amount of mechs and beacons. If the blue bar drops down to 0 then you lose. So if they held more than you did for longer, even getting ahead in beacons owned at the end won't help unless you have them long enough to make their bar drop more.

The red and blue bars that tricky48 is talking about are the respective teams' "territory health". Holding a beacon deals damage over time to the other team's territory health. Holding more beacons deals more damage, so long as you hold them. When a team's territory health reaches zero, they lose. You just need to readjust your perspective for what constitutes a winning goal. It's not who holds more at the end, it's who holds more for longer over the entire match.

There are times that the teams with the sliver of a bar beats a team with a reasonable amount of bar left.

if you cause the other team to mech out then yes. jst barely a win. Between mech out and beacon capture, we just barely got the W.

Very good example, WE034, sometimes you experience the loss under that same condition... @op... let's say that the blue bar in W's posted pic was just a hair shorter... if it reached 0 before the delay after killing every bot ends, then it would have been a loss. There is about a 10 second delay, after killing all the reds, where it doesn't register that it is a mech-out. For all it knows, there is one red left that has a bot, so it gives them time to select one and drop back in, before closing the match. Well, if it is in that grace period in a situation like what that pic shows, even with all beacons blue, all reds meched out, you can still lose. You get used to it... and learn to adapt. Just goes to show, that the MAIN THING that determines a win, is beacons.
