There is a reason my title is "shut up and play".
All hail the "T-shirt man"!

By even mentioning an interest in being a moderator, doing so will usually get you taken off the list of candidates. One of those old time quotes; "The person most qualified for the job is the one that doesn't want it". This may be only some obscure free forum for some mobile game, but it's also a gathering of humans. Which means more human ambition, ego, corruption, nobility and all that there stuff like that. Picking new mods is damned hard, especially with the filter of the Internet in the way. Imagine how much easier it would be if they could meet all the candidates face to face, but that ain't happening. Full disclosure: I've been both moderator and founder of other game-specific communities, including forums, IRC, FB Groups, etc over the decades. Everybody wants everybody else censored, but when it's their turn suddenly it's "free speech". People post useless drivel every hour, until you try to stop them and then you're a Nazi. It's a cold, calloused, tedious, and thankless job, where you get blamed for everything that goes wrong and never get credit for fixing things. No offense to the OP, I can see his intentions are good, but the start of this thread is a perfect example of 'thankless'. I wish the best of luck to the current mods in their search, and most especially luck and grace to whomever gets saddled with that millstone of a job. Have you ever tried to herd cats? Spot on Daemon btw, what's that last part mean? The part about herding cats

Trying to moderate a forum or FB group, trying to lead a clan/alliance in an mmorpg, hell even just trying to get through a group committee project in school or worse at work... trying to get a bunch of humans to cooperate together, is like trying to herd cats. Good luck. www.cnet.com/news/even-the-mythbusters-cant-herd-cats/

The forums need sticky posts; things like the glossary, missile velocity, horizontal distance gains per Kmph for jumping bots, target leading, etc. The Wiki is the right place for such information, not the forum. But I agree with some other points, we need more active moderators here. But having a high activity forum for a game is usually a good sign.

I'm well aware having an opinion on ze internet, is wrong. I chose to voice my disdain on a subject regardless of this knowledge. As Dred pointed out, it's more whining than actually ranting without possible solutions. I put them on here too. Seemed very cut-and-dried to me, so I figure it's the end of my involvement with this thread.

This forum is currently useless. The threads are bloated, nothing is locked, 20% of the 'guests' think it's an outlet to Pixonic, there are no sticky posts to cull the constant questions, there's misinformation everywhere, I have yet to see a mobi link for actual stats(since we face-planted keeping the wiki up to date), every story or opinion is fought, nobody answers actual questions without a severe level of bias, all the users want to be included in everything, and most everyone is a jackass. Seriously? Love ya buddy, but this is a game forum. Individual personalities, real life, etc will make it a little unbearable at times. Just remember what exactly this is here for. If you want some of the math and such, may I suggest you start a thread of your own and include this information? Maybe under advanced tactics, Advanced piloting, etc. and you can even edit some of the Wiki to include it too. When I started in late August 2016 I found the wiki simply looking for cheats and hacks, lol. I found the Wiki, used the old forum, and found myself here. Here I saw the knowledge and skill of some players that were as new as me and decided I wanted to be a part of that, hence I was accepted into the android Wiki clan. Sometimes only the things you want to see are seen. Other times, only the things you hate and drive you nuts can be seen. When I joined I saw some of the bias and saw the difference of opinions and learned from them. Different viewpoints teach you different things, and the organic nature of these forums help newbies learn the game in different ways, strategy, roles, politics, etc. Example - camping and Sniping is a terrible way to play. But what if that is what I truly enjoy? Whose place is it to be disrespectful to me because I choose that? If it helps me relieve stress and have fun, then that is what I am gonna do. (I DO NOT prefer that personally) I think complete objectivity and perfection can be a misleading goal. Just remember to have fun and not let the bad stuff be the only thing you see, there is plenty of good on these forums too.

You have no right to free speech on the forum
I think some of the new blood on this new forum is problematic
If you dont like the forum, its easy to find the door

As Dred pointed out, it's more whining than actually ranting without possible solutions. I put them on here too. Seemed very cut-and-dried to me, so I figure it's the end of my involvement with this thread. So there's this account on Twitter, called @nihilistarbys, right? Some guy posting super-snarky, black comedy as an Arby's restaurant PR campaign gone grim, it's occasionally hilarious. He made a couple poor Tweets in a row, nothing serious, just seemed like the comedy well was drying up. So I said something to him. Nothing major, just like "might be time to retire the account, good run." He replied, "Here's a witty, Arby's theme rejoinder for you: go #### yourself." Except he didn't use "####", naturally. That was almost two years ago now, I think. And you know, thanks to the magic of Twitter, I still get the occasional person liking or RT'ing it, popping up in my notifications. This thread sorta reminded me of that.
