You can see that the robots are huge! Bus or Building or space station looks very small compare to their sizes!
And yet the measurement is in Meter? Are you 「fluffernutter」ing serious in Meter?
Why don't you put more realistic measurement? Or is it "not to scale" apply in the game?

There are so many other things to fix at Pixonic that I doubt the range and scale will be a priority. Your point is still a good one tho.  |

Why wouldn't they use metres? It's set in the future, and even now only three backwards countries out of two hundred and six use anything else. Imperial units will die off once all the people that learned them in school then refused to adapt to anything else die off first. I'm sure that'll happen long before we're fighting each other with giant robots and spaceships...
I do agree that the relative scale of objects in-game is wildly inconsistent, though. Compare the moon rovers and habitats to Shenzen cars etc. Also, while the map builders acknowledge the existence of windows, the War Robots universe is almost completely devoid of building doors...

If this game were "realistic" then the zenits would probably have a 100m area of effect and your whole hanger would probably be wiped at at spawn by high-altitude air-strikes.

I think they should change it from meter to kilometer, because if you look at maps like Yamantau, it's so huge and the distance between the both bases cannot be only 1km! But at the same time I think they'll confuse people so those people will need to learn the new numbers again.

So I rant In Example: Punisher “…One of the most effective weapons at distances up to 500 meters. High rate of fire and capacity. Low accuracy makes this weapon ineffective at longer distances…” – in-game description Or you can view the weapon description all mention in meters. |

I thought this was going to be about the inconsistencies in each map. On moon map, things are way off. Visually speaking, the robot could look out of range, as it does at that visual distance on every other map, but apparently on moon map, the same distance is MUCH closer for the target finder thing, so all of a sudden youre in range of the orkan or taran even though it CLEARLY looks to be out of range.
Damn pix can't even get that right

I never thought about it, but is it so unrealistic?
Tried it some minutes ago in dead city. There are trucks, a truck is maybe 20m long.
It was 1 1/2 steps with griffin and I measured coarse by steps that the crator should be ~300m in diameter. That sounds not so wrong?
Because of army measure, I was gunner on Leopard 1 in german army and we measure everything in meter in german army. The normal distance to targets was 600-1200m, that has something to do with the landscape here, maximum range of british L7 gun was 1800.

In my obervation, they shrinked(scaled) the map to a half. If you'll notice that when you aim at a bot after the 2.9 update, the crosshair distance display in meters is going to give you 2(two) measurements. 1(One) close(about a second display) and the other twice the distance. |

Just my opinion..
Well technically speaking, it is pretty accurate in terms of metres, really.
It might appear "off-scale" to you because of the angle of the camera and different bots you use the camera pans differently as well.
Also, for those who mentioned about large maps like Yamantau and small maps like Moon looking off, it really is just the environmental variables, props, no. of buildings etc that affects your perception.
Create a second account, get into a custom match with yourself, and try picturing the distances again, it does click.

If only there were some kind of fighter or bomber that the enemy couldn't easily lock onto. Some kind of technology that somehow-- I don't know-- reduced their radar profile.    I guess we'll never know.(BTW, modern fighters can kill things from over one-hundred kilometers away, just to put the final nail in the whole "over the horizon" nonsense. Laser weapons, barring some reality-changing development in theoretical physics, would not be able to shoot that far in an atmosphere due to an effect called "blooming". This phenomenon causes lasers to lose focus in air, and he effect actually gets worse the more power you pump into it. So your Patton-gekko's range in RL would probably be about the same as it is in the game, 1300m (the ones being used by the Navy can reach 1600m, but wouldn't even warm a battle-tank's armor, much less a Leo's). |

What I mean is that when you point at a red, you'll notice that the "first" distance that appears will change. I’m pretty sure this is a glitch in distance display. The distance is updated about 5 times a second and the erroneous first value is not twice the final value, I believe it’s just an old value so it varies how much it’s off by. And many times the first value is correct because it came close to that 1/5th second update. I’m still trying to measure this, it’s a tricky one to pin down but that’s what it looks like so far. Another glitch is that two bots will see each other with up to a 2m difference. So bot A sees B at 300m but B sees A at 302m, and this is standing still. |

Well..if you use realistic distances for weapons then you'll be looking at over-the-horizon weapons which means you'll never see another bot in game. Just the business end of an artillery shell or missile.
