Just come to say hi been playing maybe 3-4 weeks now i find game is good for me after having to stop gaming a while back after many many years due to eye condition ( from cs 1.6/ CS source to battlefield series all way thru to BF4 ) but i find this game easy on the eyes which is good but i do miss the intense gameplay on big multiplayer games Well my first little bit of advice needed is which BOT to take with the free WP i have got 13750 so far so can get CARNAGE or FUJIN or wait for RHINO or RAIJIN ?? any advice would be good thanks here is my puny bots so far lol

Rhino's in my opinion are the best WSP bot. They're fast when they need to be, they use the same weapon sets as griffins and they can brawl pretty well. Most of all, just enjoy yourself. Try new and different stuff, the world is your oyster in the beginning stages because it's easy to get weapons to level 7-8, beyond that it gets grindy, so use this time to try stuff out and see what you like. Hello! Welcome to the forum and thank you for your post. Personally I don't think you should be spending your money on a bot at this time. Ymmv.
I would it to buy two tarans and 5 magnums. I'd slap the tarans and two Magnums on one of your Griffin's and 3 Magnums on your other Leo.
Both builds and your rdb will become staples in your hanger through expert.
If you're dead set on getting a bot right now and get the Carnage.

I wish I could tell you that your choices become easier later but I can't lol. A silver lining here is that you already know you like piloting the griff. Maybe you get 2 tarans and 2 mags first just to see if you like them. I think you will. Even at low levels you'll be amazed at the dps. You may even get another set.

Second this, I'd buy 4-6 Tarans & 4 Magnums before I bought any WSP bot. PDB (Plasma Death Button) is a -really- good setup on Griffins, and both weapons are universally at the top or near the top in their respective weapon classes.

Im going to make an unpopular statement here but.... I find the Tarans overrated. ok ive said it ; )
Ive been running an orkan pinata griff and looooove it! ive tried the plasma setup and cant seem to get anywhere near the same results? So i switched them out and made a tarancelot, its ok but my weapons of choice are pinatas, thunders and punishers all day long. If you want to spend wsp ide go thunder carnage, time your run right with your dash and fire those bad boys point blank in the face whilst laughing like an evil villain : )

Ok cool but thing is i cant buy many tarans or mags as tarans are 5650 each and mags are 3750 and only having 13750 that wont get me much so is it 1 taran and 2 mags for now ? also i noticed with griff im best from 100 mtr to 350 mtr as they die fast close in but still do reasonable dmg at that range I THINK lol ... so whats the range of taran/mags ?? thanks again

What makes this game so great is the diversity we have in running what we want to. I only offer the advise I did because when I was in the OP shoes I wish I had spent my resources on weapons rather than bots. I wish I had saved my gold for a 5th slot before buying any gold resources. If OP buys Tarans and Mags now he can always repurpose those weapons on different builds. In his current league he'd certainly see a dps spike if he added plasma. He may even like them more than you or I. Emmv.

For some reason I thought you had 19k saved up lol. I'd still get the 2 tarans now. You'll be impressed at the damage output you get at 325-349m (stay out of orkan range). I'd keep the pins in as a placeholder for the 2 mags. Finally, the effective weapon range of your rdb tulu/pins are 500m. And unlike the other weapons (thunder, scourge, guns) I think they do the same damage in its effective range. Have you tried waddling into 450-495m then defensively jumping out of 500m range. It's deadly.

Hello akataz & welcome to the forum, If you are about to buy your first wsp bot, I’d recommend Carnage. It can carry a few different weapons, and is a fun bot to play. It will also last you a long time, since it is usable all the way to the top leagues. However, like many others here, I would also recommend to get some Tarans and Magnums first before any wsp bot. You could for example get two Tarans at first, and turn one of your Griffins into a close combat bot with some silver close range light weapons. Currently both your Griffs seem to have Tulumbas and Pins, which are considered mid range. Tulus and Pins do the same damage from 0m to 500m, and therefore it is advisable to use them beyond 350m in order to avoid enemy close range weapons (close range weps are stronger than Tulus & Pins, which means you’ll generally lose if going toe to toe). First before doing anything though, I would recommend to take a look at the War Robots Wiki, if you haven’t done that already. There is a lot of very useful info, and it is also well organised. All weapons and bots are explained, as are basic tactics etc. I’m sure you will grasp the fundamentals very quickly, since you have such an extensive gaming background.

thanks will get 2 tarans and see outcome like u say the longer range is good outside of 300+ meter but a tad dodgy close up And yeah i will get to grips with game soon enough .. its not dis-similar to my tank days in BF ( yes i was tank 「loose lady」 ) lol and i played titanfall 1 quite a bit back in the day too . Tactically im sound more a team player than soloing and there not much team play as such in random games eh unfortunately Well thanks again for tips gonna go set up and play a few rounds .

Weapons before bots is great advice. Also great advice to go with carnage as your first wsp bot. Rhino is also a great choice. Lots of straight line speed and same weapon load out as griffin. Tarans will be a very useful weapon in your hanger for a long time. You can use them on rogatka, griffin, rhino, lancelot, even dash bots. Get those bad boys leveled up and enjoy!

Welcome to the game and the forum. Whatever you do with the wsp, don't spend your gold on anything. Save it for a 5th slot, which is by far the most important purchase you can make. It instantly adds durability and flexibility to you're hangar and Pixonic can never nerf it.
Slots before shots, shots before bots.
