Hello everyone, since some people have been complaining about the causticity of the forum lately, from now on, please put protest threads in the rants board.
Sorry to anyone negatively affected by this.
Thank you!
Edit: Sorry, didn't realize that I wasn't clear enough about this.
Protesting is not the same as posting information on Pixonic's transgressions against the playerbase.
If your post is something like making fun of a pixonic employee(such as the "how dare you" fiasco) it goes in the rants board. If you're just merely sharing information, such as the different prices of dash bots for different players, it can go into general.
In other words, posts with actual information can go on general.
Even if your post is in rants, it doesn't mean that it won't show up on 'Recent'. It just means that people who don't like such posts can use 'No Rants' to avoid it. These aren't the type of people who you're trying to convince either.

What about the majority of posters that aren't snowflakes and can tolerate seeing something we don't agree with? When will this board cater to them?

I think it's more that the "snowflakes" that want to rant, protest or cry should go to the appropriate section. A lot of us come here for relevant information (like info on the new TDM) but it gets pushed into obscurity by the constant rants against Pixonic.

Oddly the people who are angry are presenting relevant information as well -- We have few data points to look at regarding community satisfaction right now, but by all indications were split 2/1 on the issue almost everywhere. Frankly when 1/3 of your user base is being vocal about a topic and others are quitting sending them off to a corner isn't exactly the best thing to do. I realize that "this forum isn't pix" but by that same token lots of insiders, and people with access do work here (without pay). Right now there is a thread on the home page where a member just opened up a line of thinking on what the actual cost of a dash hanger is, granting it perspective against the average american income. Is that protest? Im happy YOU only want to hear about team TDM -- I want to hear about it to, I read those threads as well, I go to page two sometimes to look at things. I would be hard pressed to find a thread on the home page right now that I would qualify as a "RANT" --

I'm pretty sure we're thinking of different threads. A detailed discussion of whether or not the Haechi is OP isn't a rant. A thread where the OP says he's boycotting by shooting friendly dash bots and basically tanking is definitely a rant and not a constructive line of dialogue

While I'm interested in every facet of the game, I'm also interested in the protests and viewpoints of angry players. More specifically the actions they're willing to take to encourage change. Whether or not you agree with it, it is a current topic people are interested in. With them now being shunned away to a section very few people frequent, we will no longer get the best stream of information on that topic.

I actually proposed that to the other mods, but they wanted protests in the rants section instead.

If you can tolerate something that you don't agree with, then you can tolerate this post, which is something that you don't agree with. We're not removing discussions about Pixo's stupidity here, we're just trying to make the forum a better experience for people who are looking for information on the game itself. Protesting is different from posting information about Pixo's shady tactics. If your post is all "rah rah fight the fat panda" then it goes into rants. If your post is about something like how prices of dash bots are different for different players, it can go into general as long as it isn't overly ranty.

If you feel you need to rant...
...consider doing it where it really hurts Pixo. Hate to say it, but this forum is too small.
You already stopped giving money to Pixo? Good.
You already downrated the app to one star? Good.
As a cornerstone of Pixo's marketing strategy is youtube, e. g. as test server rewards depend on videos posted there, well, voice your protests there.
And tell others on facebook to do likewise when you leave a comment there.
This way you can really create an effect on Pixo. They will not like it.

"Rants" isn't some hidden corner of the board you have to duck past three alleyways and knock some secret knock on a nondescript door to find. Rants comes up in the Recent tab, which is how most folks use the forum anyway (we know because we polled that awhile back). I don't know why people associate Rants as a gulag, when it's really just a sorting process. As for all that "snowflake" crapola, this isn't some bastion of free speech uber alles. This is a forum set up with the intent of being a welcoming and helpful place to discuss War Robots. When elements of the community threaten to compromise that mission, we will actively restore the balance. Anyone that wants the liberty of being able to be as toxic as they want to be, no holds barred, is encouraged to join one of the Facebook groups where that itch can be scratched to their hearts' content.

Brand new member. Bare with me. I like what's been said about angry "snap" rants still being relevant. I wouldn't be joining if I wasn't angry about something or just not understanding. I recently took almost four months off, tho it was only partially out of frustration. I sent a nice letter to Pixonic about '"Why the F*#k am I playing players far more advanced than me?". I felt I was being nerfed for equally grinding hard and spending small amounts regularly. Now that I've fired up the game after multiple updates that problem has been addressed. I got sent back from Expert1 to Diamond 3. Kinda what I wanted but now it's been a grind to move up (not complaining yet). I have two new maps plus beacon rush to play with which is great. I guess my only beef besides squad battles being wonky is how everyone got free Dash bots but me. Haha. I'm fine with the "component" saving but really wonder if the Dashes are overpowered? Has this been addressed in recent updates? I think they are wimpy but I'd gladly trade my Level 11 Gareth for any one of them. I've seen the "Dashes are the beginning of the Pixinic end rants". I hope they will or have been balanced. Cause as I said, I've noticed better game wide balance since putting it down for the summer. Am I wrong?

Based on the timeline of when you left, you likely missed the massive balance updates which vastly improved overall game balance. As far as Dash bots, they were never free. They were released on a gambling only system and on average cost about $500 per bot at that time. Since the component release I think they’re closer to $250 per bot, but I haven’t seen the math done recently. Nobody got free ones aside from a few lucky contest winners and some YouTube personalities. So chances are the suckers you see with Dash bots spent a couple grand recently. And no, the Dash balance has not been addressed. They are still incredibly superior in comparison to the rest of the field, aside from a few bots with heavy hardpoints that can mount the $150 Embers.

This entire thread sounds like a rant. And therefore should be moved to the rants forum. Wherever that is.

I bought $7.99 worth of gold and war robots has now taken hundreds of dollars I did not authorise. My account is set for a password for every purchase so it is unauthorised.. we need this money back or will not be playing again.

I think this is actually the best game forum I've seen. There's always active members and quite good information. I would love to be a moderator on here because I'm here everyday for upto five hours just on the forum alone. My posts are polite respectful and I'm always welcoming new members
